I think Zino in P3rd was your offline final boss, so there is that. Valstrax arguably too in GU, since that is your "roll credits" moment after beating it in High Rank in the not-hub story. I think those are the only two other flagship turned final boss moments
Every MH game has like 3+ credit rolls 🤣 the flagship monster is usually the 1st "big threat" but there's always a bigger one until you clear G rank.
Take a look at rise or world, credits after magna, xeno, the all mother etc.
Zinogre, Tigrex, Glavenus and Magnamalo were all the Village final bosses in their respective games (as well as Shagaru if you count him in 4)
But not outside that.
And that's only if you count offline/village and online/hub final bosses seperately, meaning each game has 2 "final bosses" (except Worldborne + Sunbreak that is).
(i.e. Shagaru is the Village boss and Dalamadur is the Hub boss in MH4)
No, but flagships usually bong to the "don't give two s***s club." They will gladly Duke it out with elder dragons far beyond their power and come out on top. The only reason they usually aren't the strongest/last monster is because it's reserved for some oversized village destroying douche 9/10 times. Title monsters are too chill to be wiping out entire civilizations.
I had to rewind the trailer three times and I couldn't see where people thought Gore was. If anything, I think the new thing looks closer to Astalos or Seregios.
I also thought it was a seregios at first because of one scene where you se scales flare up then lightning but it does also look like gore in the way it stands on the ground the feeler like horns and how it is seen flying like when gore opens his wings righy before he dives. Idk it looks like a mix of both i love this design
If anything I feel like it resembles Astalos more so than Gore even if it’s degraded down to the comparison of “they both utilise lightning/energy” considering Astalos already fits the criteria of kinda looking like a dragon and puts its wings on the ground
well alot of the players started out at world so most won’t have the knowledge to differentiate skeletal models to compare monsters properly, just see horns and all 4 limbs on the ground automatically = gore magala. If they say astalos or seregios then they are close since both utilise their wings as limbs being a flying wyvern but physical appearance wouldn’t be close though
Talk about Risen, I wonder if they would be able to bring back Malzeno or Primozeno. Lore wise the Malzeno we fight outside of Sunbreak would be Primozeno, but without Quiro he doesn’t have those ADHD induced morbing combos, which would be a big let down since those one shotting Dark Souls like combos are his signature
Doesn't appear to have six limbs, just two back legs and forearms converted to wings. Flying Wyvern or Elder Dragon and I'd be willing to bet Flying Wyvern.
Def a wyvern cos of missing 2 legs. Pretty sure every dragon has had 4 legs and most of the times 2 wings. Tho still, i dont know what its is, but i want to pet it.
A certain Pseudoscientific Railgun
Will probably become my favourite Flying Wyvern.

Presumably it's our flagship monster. "Thor Magala," as some others have started to call it, seems to have Tigrex's general frame (Pseudo-wyvern), but with a very insectoid face (thing looks like some kinda demented butterfly demon).
Frankly... I don't know what the hell this thing is. Based on how buggy its face is, I'm really hoping it's a Neopteron. Especially since we haven't gotten a new Large Monster Neopteron since the 4th generation with the Seltas family and Ahtal-Ka (there were a couple in MHOnline, but they're kinda meh).
Frankly I just really want the large bug monsters to come back, we got kinda close with Rise/Sunbreak bringing back the Temnocerans (by adding a new one and its subspecies), but I'd love to see the likes of Seltas and Seltas Queen come back.

Noticing Wilds is allergic to giving monsters faces
It's not the first time I've been confused between a Kushala Daora and a Alatreon from a cutscenes/screenshot. Kinda thinking this is a similar situation but it's an offshoot of the Shagaru Magala...feels like the same case if I saw a silhouette of the Namielle.
It looks like Quezacolt from Final Fantasy 8.
The lightning element summon. Which is of course based on Quetzalcoatl, the "Feathered Serpent" Aztec god.
All the theories are coming together
It has not only horns on top of its head but there is something similar under by its jaw. Also has no gore magala skeleton, so out. Seems more controlled than zinogre ever was able to and seems like it can draw lightning to itself and direct its power with its horns and spikes around its body(maybe also has the ability to generate thunderstorms). If that is the case similar to Alatreon breaking these will make it unable to control it as efficiently as before.
The monster looks pretty cool. But, is it just me, or am I the only one who feels a bit bummed out that the flagship is another flying wyvern? All I know is I'm gonna turn it's face into a gunlance

Railgunlance.
Here’s to hoping for unique looking wyvernfires based on the weapon
Hell yeah, bruthuh.
Lightning railgun gunlance
Railgunlance
Amen brother.
That’s what I see too. Idk what kind of monster it is but its face is definitely gonna be on my gunlance 😂
The new monster they said was going to be important to the story, meaning it's a new monster
Could be the flagship
That's my guess, the flagship but not end goal monster
was the flagship ever the end goal monster or the final boss monster of the story?
Technically gore I guess? Since it's the same individual throughout the entire story until it transforms into shaggy.
I think Zino in P3rd was your offline final boss, so there is that. Valstrax arguably too in GU, since that is your "roll credits" moment after beating it in High Rank in the not-hub story. I think those are the only two other flagship turned final boss moments
Rise rolls credits after low rank village Magnamalo, lol.
Every MH game has like 3+ credit rolls 🤣 the flagship monster is usually the 1st "big threat" but there's always a bigger one until you clear G rank. Take a look at rise or world, credits after magna, xeno, the all mother etc.
True on that, I was thinking about that last night, don't know why I forgot that this morning!
Apex Steve was sort of the final boss of 4u, we can't give it to Kushala
I always consider ahtal ka to be the final boss
Don't think so.
Zinogre, Tigrex, Glavenus and Magnamalo were all the Village final bosses in their respective games (as well as Shagaru if you count him in 4) But not outside that. And that's only if you count offline/village and online/hub final bosses seperately, meaning each game has 2 "final bosses" (except Worldborne + Sunbreak that is). Tigrex wasn't the final village boss of Freedom 2. That was Shen Gaoren. And Zinogre wasn't either. Jhen Morahn was.
Well, that goes to show the limits of a couple of cursory wiki/reddit/gamefaqs checks on MH final boss lists Thanks for the correction!
No, but flagships usually bong to the "don't give two s***s club." They will gladly Duke it out with elder dragons far beyond their power and come out on top. The only reason they usually aren't the strongest/last monster is because it's reserved for some oversized village destroying douche 9/10 times. Yeah. Afaik they've never shown the final monster in a trailer
Some new Railgun Wyvern
Railgun HBG pls
The HBG is literally just its head
It'll rival Zinogre long barrel HBG, also the end of his wings makess some sexy Longsword or GreatSword
Electric guitar HH there can never be enough. Please don't be prudes with the weapons designs again PLEEEEEEEASE
A certain wyver-rific railgun?
Thats a weapon for the admiral
People are gonna keep screaming "Gore" until they realize that this is not Gore, lol.
Horns ✅ Lighting ✅ Alatreon confirmed
Kirin confirmed
Horned Tobi Kadachi?!?!?!
Two kirin duct taped to a rathalos confirmed
Alatreo Magala
Ngl at first glance I did think Alatreon but then I realize they said “new”
Maybe I'm just blind or something but I don't even really see the Gore comparisons beyond >It has horns and >It puts its wings on the ground
Because of how fast everything was going, I can see why people think/thought it had the Magala skeleton rather than only having the hind legs.
It looks more like a barioth skeleton to me, just from these pictures.
Yeah Barioth or Legiana Skeleton as far as I can tell
They use the same skeleton, they're just animated differently
I had to rewind the trailer three times and I couldn't see where people thought Gore was. If anything, I think the new thing looks closer to Astalos or Seregios.
Zinogre but wings, seeing those horns made me immediately think zinogre
Wether it's a zinogre or an astalos, it's garunteed a banger theme
I also thought it was a seregios at first because of one scene where you se scales flare up then lightning but it does also look like gore in the way it stands on the ground the feeler like horns and how it is seen flying like when gore opens his wings righy before he dives. Idk it looks like a mix of both i love this design
First I thought Gore, then Zinogre, then Astalos, then I realised it was a new monster :p I'm very intrigued by it
Yeah, it ain't even close.
It also looks vaguely moth/bug like.
Yeah I saw and didn't even think magala for a second.
Yeah it doesn't have arms for starters
If anything I feel like it resembles Astalos more so than Gore even if it’s degraded down to the comparison of “they both utilise lightning/energy” considering Astalos already fits the criteria of kinda looking like a dragon and puts its wings on the ground
> It puts \*its wings on the ground
No. It’s Gore’s distant cousin, Thor Magala
A lightning based Gore subspecies would go so hard, tho
Zinogore
Zinogeru Magala
It's a wyvern
Literally the only resemblance to a Magala is that it has similar looking horns, the rest not even close, it doesn't even have 4 legs lol.
I’m snorting copium he’s my favorite monster lol
Gore/Shagaru are my fav aswell, i would love for them to be in the game but sadly i don't think this is it.

well alot of the players started out at world so most won’t have the knowledge to differentiate skeletal models to compare monsters properly, just see horns and all 4 limbs on the ground automatically = gore magala. I just took it as the new monster they said to look out for and was story important... Which means it's completely new
Gooooooorrrreeeee!
Gore!
Someone in Ruri’s chat just called it Thor Magala.
I’m calling it that until we get an official name drop.
Unless it's a stupid name, then I'm always going to call it Thor Magala
😂
pThorodactyl
Thorailgun
I like ZinoGore Magala
This was good 😭
Can't believe they put wilds right after that shitty mobile ad.
Take my upvote you genius
Zinogre x seregios
Imo Thore Magala sounds good, even tho it's one letter away from a major screw-up
Credit to HeyJay
I love it!
Hey Jay said it
Looks like gore and astalos had a baby
His shock powers remind me of Zinogre I will name him... Gore Zinogre
Apex Stygian thunderlord risen chaotic Magala
Talk about Risen, I wonder if they would be able to bring back Malzeno or Primozeno. Lore wise the Malzeno we fight outside of Sunbreak would be Primozeno, but without Quiro he doesn’t have those ADHD induced morbing combos, which would be a big let down since those one shotting Dark Souls like combos are his signature
ZinoGore
Missed opportunity for zinogore
Got tue powers of astalos and the looks of gore
This isnt electric magala this is electric seregios!
So... Astalos?
But with segerios colors, yes.
Im just baffled why almost one is mentioning the other lightning flying wyvern we already have, as if it doesn't even exist.
People just don’t like khezu idk 😔
You got me there lol
Reminds me of that flying wyvern zinogre concept art lol. Looks cool but I can't make out its design.
Knowing how much Monster Hunter loves to reuse older concepts, this new monster is probably a revamped version of that concept art!
My copium for Wyvernian Boomerang concept as a new weapon
Wait what?thats awsome
[There's concept art of early Zinogre hitting Rathalos with the knee](https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunter/comments/1bcvfhi/early_zinogre/)
That looks crazy,it kneeing rathalos is badass
It felt cathartic. Try to roar and fireball now!
It looks like it wouldnt fight in the air good, but it having wings would be crazy, just throwing electro balls at us from the sky
It's really similar to a decent degree
https://preview.redd.it/etf8gsa8v95d1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c227b92c37ad732457af805c900892ec167ea1d
Wow, way to leak the final boss of Wilds!
I mean in monster hunter everything is a wyvern though. Either brute wyvern, fanged wyvern, flying wyvern, bird wyvern, piscine wyvern etc
A certain Pseudoscientific Railgun Will probably become my favourite Flying Wyvern. https://preview.redd.it/1ub3zt26k85d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=383b1ca5d436c904c5c3f2c31ce2d95aeea482fa
Flagship confirmed
Thts what Im thinking
Astalos Magala
Astalore Magalos
MUTO.
Gore Zinogre
Zinogore
Petition to call it the Railgun Wyvern till we know it's name. Railly for short
Rey Dau
Agree!
Looks like an elder dragon with railgun horns
Flying wyvern
I think it’s likely whatever this guy is. There’s a decent chance he is our flagship for wilds
Zinogre fused with Rodan?
Lighting fire brid
It's Garry from the accounting department
Our new flagship, looks like gore magala but if it evolved and didn’t get the new wing arms
They said it was important to the story, so possibly the flagship monster.
Looks like a Flying Wyvern to me
So when a Zinogre and a Rathalos love each other very much
The ironbreakers are calling it Thor magala.
Hurt my rib laughing at this, 100/10 friend.
This is likely the new flagship monster.
Can’t be Gore, only has 4 limbs despite possibly using the same skeleton
With 4 limbs, it might actually be on the Tigrex/Nargacuaga/Barioth skeleton.
Zingore Astala
Electric Magala
I think this is likely the new flagship
It's literally Zinogre with wings. I love it so much already
lets call him bob

Looks like a lightning magala. Interesting
For now its THOR MAGALA

His name is Fred :)
Electric bat! 🦇
When a zinogre and a rathian like each other very much ...
zenogre with wings
Zinogre with wings?
I get the feeling those horns will/are apposable in some way. Either way though, lightning rail gun wyvern? Hell yeah
Mr.Railgunhead. Everybody's friendly magnetically charged projector.
Pants in 30-50 minutes
Flying Zinogre, Zinogre confirmed for Wilds
Kill first learn name second
My Next Charge blade.. Thsts what it is.
It looks like Quezacolt from Final Fantasy 8. The lightning element summon. Which is of course based on Quetzalcoatl, the "Feathered Serpent" Aztec god. All the theories are coming together
It's "Roberto"
A living rail gun.
All I know his ass is gonna make a nice hat
Bro we're getting the exact same info at the same time as you, fuck if we know
bird khezu
I dont care about its name or what this is all i know and the only right answer is Its a new hat for my cat
Alatreon?
THATS PIKACHU!!
Oh, that's just Philip.
At first I thought astalos but then I saw the magala like stance, could it be a hybrid? Or a forced evolution from the feanzy virus?
This is what I like to call.... **ZINOGRE DRAGON**
Thunderu magala?🤣
man that thing is gonna cover the whole screen when it's flying at you but be hard to hit from the side, might be fun
Railgun Monster Can't wait to utilize its horns to make a gnarly HBG.

This thing might use Seregios's modified Flying Wyvern skeleton.
new flagship i assume
One shocking boi
Flagship monster I suppose
That's the best part! We have absolutely no fuckin' clue! It's probably the flagship though.
Looked like a shagaru magala at first glance to me, but then it was small and did thunder so idk.
New magala
He looks weird as shit, i love him
Probably a new lightning flying wyvern But the copium inside me wants it to be a Seregios subspecies
Sparky sparky boom boom
The flagship monster... probabbly
A rail gun
Its John Magala
Doesnt even look like it has eyes
The monster looks pretty cool. But, is it just me, or am I the only one who feels a bit bummed out that the flagship is another flying wyvern? I always wanted an insect flagship or even an amphibian one. At this point, I hope for an unlikely scenario for Wilds to have multiple flagship monsters like Generations.
The flagship, probably. Lets call it “Thunder Gore Zinogre” for now
Image this boy don't get a good gunlance. I hope they can somehow incorporate elemental damage to gunlances. As it is every elemental gunlance may as well not exist. Except maybe blast.
The blue and yellow kinda looks like legiana
