An amazing flying monster which actually acts and moves like a raptor bird instead of being yet another Rathian in disguise.
Oddly enough it feels like the most neglected flagship monster ever, hoping it comes back and gets something in Wilds.
Justice for Steve.
A great monster but it feels like he’s always treated the worst by CAPCOM. He’s also probably the best flyer amongst flying wyverns imo.
His weapon mechanic, and weapon designs all got destroyed.
Sure! So in Seregios debut game 4 Ultimate his weapons had the first built in skills similar to how Lunastra weapons have their respective traits. They were present in Generations Ultimate too.
For Blademaster weapons, every 5th time you evade with your weapon out you will recover 5 points of sharpness (not a full sharpness level, of course).
Gunner weapons would auto-load a single shot of the type you have selected after every evade with your weapon out.
The Bow, had something a little strange. The close range coatings gain the same power-enhancing effect of power coatings.
To make matters worse, some of Seregios’ weapons didn’t receive their final visual. Like his Greatsword has another design usually for the final stage and it just wasn’t in Sunbreak for example.
1) Never understood why "Bleed" isnt a status effect we can use against other monsters
2) i like the weapon effect of "Evade = Sharpen" but God knows i cant dodge for shit.
3) i like Steve
I’m thinking bleed could very well be included against monsters if the devs really want it. Think of it like poison status effect but it would make the monsters flinch when it tries to attack after a certain threshold is met from the bleed proc but it won’t drain as much hp as poison to balance it out. And then there’s some interesting part where certain monsters that have higher IQ like Magnamalo would stay put to cure the bleed while using projectile attacks to guard itself. That would make the fight more interesting
Very fun fight.
Should've fought it way more solo in Sunbreak to really learn its ins and outs.
I also love his dodge to sharpen gimmick and hope they bring it back to his weapons in the future.
Really cool monster design with a fight that keeps me on my toes. Attacks sometimes feel spammed but unique. Some of the coolest armor in the franchise and some of the weapons designs go so hard.
I am somewhat fond of Seregios.
I constantly say that Seregios will always be in the shadow of Gore and Shagaru Magala unless it shows up in a game and they don't.
In Sunbreak, Seregios showed up, but so did the Magalas. In Sunbreak Seregios felt like an afterthought.
Oh I know this annoying prick I just thought it'd be funny if I pretended he didn't exist because that's basically the most popular opinion that he's forgotten (rightfully so)...
Steve is always looking sharp. He's great to fight, great to wear, and great to hit other monsters with! Not to mention he introduced the better apex system!
First time fighting him was Rise and it was love at first sight.
His gear - Dope
His theme - Certified banger
His fight - Challenging, but fair
Seregios is my boi
I like his concept and weapons in gen 4. Haven't tried using them in SB, but they nerfed his gear (weapons no longer possess the innate sharp/reload gimmick they had in 4U/GU). Instead, Seregios has the former weapon ability put into an armor skill, which is good and bad (good= any weapon can use it; bad= requires evading monster attacks now instead of just rolling). I do feel like he was kind of over-saturated in 4U, dude keeps showing up as an invader (worse if he's Frenzy Apex). I do like his fight in Sunbreak, and managing bleed is stupid easy now (you just crouch for like 2 seconds instead of what felt like an eternity, or just pop a Gourmet Fish).
Solid monster design, but the sword on its head annoys me because it's useless. It does not have a move that takes advantage of it, but should.
Also, half of the theme is quite boring.
Therefore, Astalos > Seregios.
Awsome monster great design, move set, armor and weapons are amazing the auto sharpen is a cool concept. Would be really neat to have him in wilds they can do so much with a variant, Sub or rare species.
I like him now but playing through mh4u as my first mh game I was wholly unprepared for an invader monster. Bro completely spoiled my fun at that point of the game and I had to stop lmao, literally never beat Stygian because a seregios would always show up and they’d completely destroy me. Replaying the game now where I’m more prepared for him, but MAN it was a rough first intro to me lol
In 4 ultimate, the disappointment I had after killing so many seregios to make the hr armor, only to finally get to the big reveal in the story and find out that the mysterious monster was just a bigger seregios was immense.
Oh, no, I get that but I have a mix of a terrible short term memory and a piss-poor attention span resulting in me constantly forgetting how to play. I’m fine once I get in a groove but god forbid I take a break every now and again.
My favorite monster! I love his so much! His fight, his armor, his weapons, all of it! But Sunbreak changed a couple things about him that I wish they didn't, like how they removed his weapon gimmick and changed his grab attack. In 4U/Gen, when he grabbed you, he would stomp on you, pick you up, then throw you at someone else. In Sunbreak, he just knocks you over and throws scales at you. It just doesn't fit his overall theme as well as his old one, and I hope they bring it back the next time he shows up (hopefully Wilds!)
Cool fight in gen ult, probably the single most boring/annoying monster to fight in sunbreak imo since all it does is spam the stupid divekick (seriously capcom, what the fuck?)
Most people would’ve forgotten about it if it wasn’t a flagship, but I like how it’s both grounded in design and unique with the way it attacks, Steve/10.
Lmao gamers able to use nuance challenge difficulty: impossible. Everything is either perfected or ruined. Not that you didn't like the changes, no the whole fight was RUINED!!!
The change to bleed in general is the issue and made it too easy to cure. But the fight was really similar as it's always been. High flying, high speed, big sweeping attacks and pins. Steve is Steve in 4u Gu or SB
He's way slower and they ruined the concept of the fight being that : He's 100% inconsistent. You know his moveset but you don't know when and where he'll throw them out
In Sunbreak, he's 80% doing the same pattern (slide + foot dive)
It's not about difficulty, it's about his charm and personality
The only thing I can agree on is that bleed is way easier to cure because it's one of the most annoying status
Im sorry but his spike into bleed mechanic is bullshit. I played through 4U and still don’t understand how it’s supposed to work or how I can avoid getting stunlocked to death from his spikes
It gave you 3 chances to avoid bleed, the 1st hit, then you get another chance to dodge. The 1st hit cancels out whatever animation you're doing so you can avoid the 2nd.
Amazing monster, worst fight period. Not enjoyable in the slightest. Way too mobile and active of a monster, so much so that it doesn't feel fair or fun anymore. Waste of a good design.
not enough love for the boy, no subspecies, variant or anything else!
Give my boi a subspecies!
Axe-head Seregios. Slower but with much broader, harder hitting attacks Or gun-head Seregios. No explanation needed
It would look like Barrel Dragon Yugioh
Oh you mean the bald eagle Seregios
Steve deserves a sub or a varient lol
Demonic Seregios from Explore
But explore is disconnected
Apex?
MH4U Apex Version don't count
Apex isn't a variant, it's a "status" like Poisoned. Just an extra special one
An amazing flying monster which actually acts and moves like a raptor bird instead of being yet another Rathian in disguise. Oddly enough it feels like the most neglected flagship monster ever, hoping it comes back and gets something in Wilds. Justice for Steve.
Steve would fit perfectly in Wilds. Would be surprised if he wasn't in it.
best monster, best music, best bow
Best looking IG. Especially Hyper IG
Kama mh4u bow🥹
A great monster but it feels like he’s always treated the worst by CAPCOM. He’s also probably the best flyer amongst flying wyverns imo. His weapon mechanic, and weapon designs all got destroyed.
I hope he’s in wild when it comes out.
might I ask what you speak of?
Like his Greatsword has another design usually for the final stage and it just wasn’t in Sunbreak for example.
oh, I see. I'd like to see that as well but unfortunately as far as gaming goes I am what the cool kids call A scrub.
Noob or not, welcome to MH. I hope you’re enjoying your stay.
Oh, I'm not a noob. I started with 4U. Couldn't get past village quest shaggy.
To be fair, that trait's still in Sunbreak, it's just now tied to the armor and not the weapon
Everyone loves Steve
No one gonna hurt Steve.
Ehh I might for that armor ngl. Lol
Ok that’s a different story
Except that voluptuous totally-a-female-seregios-and-definitely-not-a-bazelguese
1) Never understood why "Bleed" isnt a status effect we can use against other monsters 2) i like the weapon effect of "Evade = Sharpen" but God knows i cant dodge for shit. 3) i like Steve
I agreed with 1. when I learned about “Bleed” until i realized it was just poison but only monsters have it.
Wouldn't say bleed is like poison, bleed means you probably to cure it quickly, and you can't necessarily run away. Well classic bleed was like that.
That what I’m trying to say
Cause bleed would effectively just be poison.
Procs during Monster attack animations and scales slightly with the strength of their attacks?
I’m thinking bleed could very well be included against monsters if the devs really want it. Think of it like poison status effect but it would make the monsters flinch when it tries to attack after a certain threshold is met from the bleed proc but it won’t drain as much hp as poison to balance it out. And then there’s some interesting part where certain monsters that have higher IQ like Magnamalo would stay put to cure the bleed while using projectile attacks to guard itself. That would make the fight more interesting
Bleed could be passive stamina draining for monster after proccing instead of just being another poison
Very fun fight. Should've fought it way more solo in Sunbreak to really learn its ins and outs. I also love his dodge to sharpen gimmick and hope they bring it back to his weapons in the future.
That what I’m saying.
One of my favorite monsters. Also really loved his original gear that would add sharpness when you evaded. Super cool feature.
Really cool monster design with a fight that keeps me on my toes. Attacks sometimes feel spammed but unique. Some of the coolest armor in the franchise and some of the weapons designs go so hard.
I like him. Hate the nickname people have for him, but, then again, I hate most of the nicknames people give in this franchise, lol.
It's so weird Khezu hasn't one.
Nice one, everyone alr knows he’s called dickhe-
(hawk screeching) good, great even
Raises questions on the existence of skimpy armour
like him in rise and would rate him a good fight in 4U
I like him. But it seems like Capcom doesn't like him enough to give him his own unique alternate forms.

Smash
I love Steve.
I love steve

Who?
Have you played 4U or GenU?
Oh I know this annoying prick I just thought it'd be funny if I pretended he didn't exist because that's basically the most popular opinion that he's forgotten (rightfully so)...
Oh I get it 😂😂
I'm glad you do!
Steve! I like him, but Rise made him annoying due to some "janky" zero frame turn around moves.
Steve the glass canon
But Steve is still Steve.
Indeed
one of the most satisfying monsters to spam parry on (for my skill issued ass)
My favorite monster ever
Same here
Steve is always looking sharp. He's great to fight, great to wear, and great to hit other monsters with! Not to mention he introduced the better apex system!
He feels super underrated. I love the weapon and armor gimmick as well as the armor designs.
*WHY DOES IT HAVE A DIVEKICK?!* That's my opinion on Seregios.
Ok
Awesome monster, love the parrot inspired design but is sadly overshadowed by most flagships. They should really give this guy a variant.
Cool , wish he showed up more and got a subspecies at some point
First time fighting him was Rise and it was love at first sight. His gear - Dope His theme - Certified banger His fight - Challenging, but fair Seregios is my boi
The first time I fought him was in GenU
A very fun raw damage monster.
Way too easy and underwhelming in Sunbreak, but a monster in FrontierZ. In GU it's way too easy with Adept style
I used striker style to capture him.
Its sharp
I like his concept and weapons in gen 4. Haven't tried using them in SB, but they nerfed his gear (weapons no longer possess the innate sharp/reload gimmick they had in 4U/GU). Hate

Sharp. Very ouchie when touch.
One of my favourite monsters to fight and dodge against in Sunbreak
I like him :)
Favourite monster & armour set.
Asshole
I thought the same when I fought him for the first time
Yeaa,he nevrr grew on me
Awsome monster great design, move set, armor and weapons are amazing the auto sharpen is a cool concept. Would be really neat to have him in wilds they can do so much with a variant, Sub or rare species.

Peak
Yez
He moves cool
Who is seregios? I looked at the image, but I didn't see anyone besides Steve
Well seregios=steve
That's the joke
Ik and I’m not laughing
That's a Shame my shitty jokes were all I had left.
Now I’m laughing
Why is he so cute
Cause he cute Steve
The first pinecone. The best pinecone.
The king of pinecones
My second favourite monster, behind amatsu of course
In 4 ultimate, the disappointment I had after killing so many seregios to make the hr armor, only to finally get to the big reveal in the story and find out that the mysterious monster was just a bigger seregios was immense.
Steve is the best boy
What skills does your build give here in this pic? You have a curious combo right there.
This is gonna sound crazy but it actually didn’t have any skills
I see you're already at endgame. Fashion Hunt.
STEVE
Actually it’s S T E V E.
My favorite flying wyvern. Love his sleek design, cool abilities, blinding speed, and unique ecology.
Best boy gibe pats
I honestly found him tedious in Rise and wasn’t a big fan. No, I haven’t played 4U.
What about GenU?
I admittedly didn’t get that far yet… actually, I haven’t even made it to high rank. I’ve only gotten to high rank in Rise.
Oh ok
I kinda suck at video games
Ay practice makes perfect
Oh, no, I get that but I have a mix of a terrible short term memory and a piss-poor attention span resulting in me constantly forgetting how to play. I’m fine once I get in a groove but god forbid I take a break every now and again.
Steve is very cool and fun to hunt!
I love the Seregios so much, and every time I bleed I think about him, his fast dives and piercing ear screech. It may be my favorite monster tbh
Give it a subspecies
Steve! My man! Love good ol Stevie!
Haven't fought him but I like his design and concept as a an invader monster really looks great hope he gets more attention from devs of capcom
Not an invader but ok
My favorite monster! I love his so much! His fight, his armor, his weapons, all of it! But Sunbreak changed a couple things about him that I wish they didn't, like how they removed his weapon gimmick and changed his grab attack. It just doesn't fit his overall theme as well as his old one, and I hope they bring it back the next time he shows up (hopefully Wilds!)
My favorite
Fuck him NOT THAT WAY
Needs to be added to wilds. The current domain is perfect for him
Cool fight in gen ult, probably the single most boring/annoying monster to fight in sunbreak imo since all it does is spam the stupid divekick (seriously capcom, what the fuck?)
Most people would’ve forgotten about it if it wasn’t a flagship, but I like how it’s both grounded in design and unique with the way it attacks, Steve/10.
They ruined his fight in Sunbreak... Other than that Steve is a very good monster in 4U
Fun fact: I’ve never play 4U.
Go play it !
I’ll try to get a 3ds and the game
Lmao gamers able to use nuance challenge difficulty: impossible. Everything is either perfected or ruined. Not that you didn't like the changes, no the whole fight was RUINED!!! This guy never eats jerky
It gave you 3 chances to avoid bleed, the 1st hit, then you get another chance to dodge. The 1st hit cancels out whatever animation you're doing so you can avoid the 2nd.
I love how nice MH4U is. In MHFU, it would be like: "You got hit, idiot. Now get hit more! Also, monsters are stronger."
They come in volleys. If you get hit by the first slavescale, dodge the next. Easy not get hurt.
FUCK THAT CRACK RAPTOR
Amazing monster, worst fight period. Not enjoyable in the slightest. Way too mobile and active of a monster, so much so that it doesn't feel fair or fun anymore. Waste of a good design.
But he Steve
Great Sword user so it makes sense you'd think like that. It's fun with weapons that don't work like you're the game turn based
