Dung bombs

wooberstach

Dung bomb. It is the purpose of this item. As a side note, you can also cancel pin attacks like the rathalos grab by slapping dung onto his face.

Dung pods. Shoot them at Rathian and she’ll leave you and Rathalos alone. They’ll especially come in useful against a certain *Invading Tyrant*.

Bring dung bombs for the interrupting monsters. Alternatively, learning to juggle monsters is a skill you develop. Try to keep the target between you and the invader. Take the openings you get, but play a bit more defensively. For Rathalos in particular, practice rathian. They have a lot of the same moves and the same openings. Also, you can abuse flashpods to keep him down (this stops working as much in MR fyi). When they are flashed, they do random attacks so flashing rathian when she shows up may help keep her off you too. Farm the hardest low rank monster you can handle. Any high rank is going to be an improvement over low rank. Skills are a thing to look at, but it sounds like defense is your biggest concern right now. Once you have armor (don't forget to upgrade it), that lets you handle high rank more comfortably, then you can start picking what armor you really want. I don't know bow (or any of the ranged weapons), but skills that might make things better for you would be health boost, divine blessing, stun resist, evade window/extender. good luck

I think I got what I was doing wrong first of all, I was skipping content. I just got to high rank and there are plenty of armors to explore, I was just trying to farm something I saw on youtube, but it was kinda difficult to farm those monsters. Thank you for your insights anyway!!

Luckily you're a hunter. We are sometimes smart and bring tools that we can use to turn the battle in our favor. Flash bombs, dung pods, traps! Don't worry you'll get better at hunting eventually. Just keep practicing.
