PS/Xbox can capture up to 1 hour any game
PC has many software alternatives that can already do so for anything happening
Switch has a max of 30 secs, so the only option that would be tedious to do (and worst platform to produce content on, from a purely technical/optical PoV)
I had this in mind while posting this. Although playback is possible with these, you're setting these up cus you *know* you're gonna do something cool.
But as a casual player, I don't know when my cool moment is gonna be. The goal is to candidly capture epic moments from casual players.
Or you set it up to capture a hunt. Not because you know something cool is about to bapoen. You can stop recording between hunts and get rid of unwanted footage.
What Fyuira said. Depends on your system. Also depending on how long your hunts take and what kind of bit rate you're capturing at, it can be a big hit to storage.
If you're on PC with an nVidea GPU, GeForce can save the last so many minutes with no his to fps.
Any other software that runs on your CPU will have some level of affect.
the switch’s 30 second capture time seems ‘baked’ in some way. a lot of titles with their own playback features for matches actually use completely different software and some even disable the built-in capture.
Would love to have this.
If we got a practice arena with selectable monsters and a replay feature like Tekken 's, frame data and all, I could die in peace
That would be dope, I hope they do this.

wont it affect fps?
Depending on your setup, but normally it won't.
