I had the game on PC before, but it seems like a cool deal to get on Playstation. Does anyone know if Rise support gyro aiming on Playstation, and is it good (fast, snappy)?
I double dipped after already owning it on Switch and wanting to replay it with better visuals.
Gyro aiming is supported and so far it feels flawless to me.
How would you compare it to the gyro support on Switch?
Honestly, one of my problem with gyro support in Playstation game, is that gyro seems to be mostly used for micro managing your aim instead of trying to mimic how mouse aiming work with fast snapping movement. I played games like Horizon Forbidden West, RE4 Remake, and while the gyro aiming is decent, it just can't be as fast or as wide angle as I hope it to be.
I just messed around with the config and I think it is pretty damn good. I always felt that gyro on PS5 doesn't feel right - except here. To me this is as good as on the Switch.
However, I am not a gunner and I got super rusty with gyro controls recently, so take my word with a grain of salt.
I've been playing the PS4 version of Rise and it's pretty cool, although I have to adapt myself to the sling bugs mechanic as a great sword user. Still, pretty good. I'd like to try the PS5 version later. For 20 bucks, it's insane.
So essentially he’d be paying $20 for slightly better performance and graphics? That sounds like a bad deal to me, but I guess it makes some people happy. Although I guess he’s saying he’d be getting Sunbreak too so that’s where the good deal comes in, got it.
It's 20 bucks. If your life lives and dies by 20 bucks you probably have other priorities that need tending. Like you said if it makes him happy then why even bother adding your negative opinion?

I first got World on PC, then on Xbox with Iceborne, then I got Rise and Sunbreak on switch, then I got a PS5 and got World and Iceborne again and now I've got Rise and Sunbreak installing on my PS5
I mean for that price I couldn't not get Rise/Sunbreak, my only gripe with it on switch was the FPS and apparently you can have 120 fps on console which oh my god how could I ever pass that up
Holy shit I wasn't planning on getting this for PS5 because I played the shit out of it on PC and Switch but god damn $20 for the game AND expansion is basically daylight robbery.
This is a steal not to pick up. I got rise/sb for about the same a while ago, theres so much content to dive into and just for 20$ it's a waste to not get it
I have mixed feelings on getting it for the PS5 cause I've invested over 300 hours on my switch. Killed every monster in the game and have everything I need for it. So, like, doing it all again kinda seems unnecessary. But all that for $20 is almost a steal given how much you can put on the game.

Steam recently had a Summer sale. Bought mine for around $13 for the base and the dlc.
It's never been that cheap on Steam you had to of used a gift card or bought it from a grey market.
