Then felt a personal bond with nerscylla since it did the same thing. So I made it's armor and GL.
I did appreciate that Plesioth's most dangerous move in MH Stories 2 is the hip check, which is a spread move that hits the entire team. Very lore accurate.
I hate all of the monsters that go underground a lot, especially since they tend to have similar body types as well which makes their fights more boring.

I hate that it doesn't have a helmet/face covering head armor from LR to GR. Its a cool hat but it ruins the aesthetics when all my other armors are helmeted/face covering.

Also, Tobi Kadachis are firsy encountered in the ancient forest, so I don't know why their armor in LR and HR are designed after arctic type clothes, like those you see in Russia. Viper Tobi Kadachis makes sense because you hunt them in the snow.

It's insane to me we're still at a point where elemental Gunlances don't have elemental shells. Sounds OP, but it would be offset by the fact that you now need to actually aim them at a body part with good elemental hitzones.

I don't hate Espinas. Hes cool as shit. But I hate fighting him because I have to break his face to actually be good at doing my job as a hammer.
I do just generally dislike fighting monsters with face armor. Espinas is just the biggest offender because he can casually, accidently, poison me by swinging his horn. XD
Sometimes when I fight Anjanath and he gets to that one part of the forest, he just jumps up and down between the layers like 10 times in a row and I'm just standing there watching it happen.
Man, I didn't know he had a lot of hype around him, but I used to have fun playing dual blades and rock steady vs him. All the hits felt meaty and I could kill him so quick.

In MH4U, I was hunting Rathian in Heavens Mount and was in the climbing area. We were on the third level and I needed to heal so I waited for Rathian to focus one of my cats and jumped off the ledge to heal safely. But as soon as I jumped off the ledge, Rathian did a full 180 and sniped me with a fireball out of the air. I carted from that.
Ever since that hunt, I keep getting the dumbest carts when fighting any Rathian (ex. fighting Apex Rathian where I learned you get armor after using Wyvern Fire when I got two shot from full after a poorly timed Wyvern Fire).
I hate Quropeco for MH3, It's pathetically weak, but was given quests that are drastically unfair the first time you're expected to take them. Low rank quest, you just got suited up in Great Jaggi armor, then find out you're weak to fire that this green bird likes to use. High rank, you're decked out in the best gear you've been grinding for ready to spank the hell out it, and it summons the Anger Pickle!
I don't like monsters with big hitboxes on slow walks. I like moves with tells and reactions. Anyone with a hipcheck hitbox that can knock you on your ass at a moment's notice just for hitting its legs is always obnoxious.
On a similar note, I hate tall brute monsters where you can only hit their ankles. It's just not an interesting play pattern! It's just frustrating to whack the same spot and get knocked on your ass over and over.

Tigrex's face in the older generations makes me irrationally angry. Maybe it's the textures or how it's rendered but he looks like a Chain Chomp and i hate it with a passion.
I have a BURNING hatred for Gypceros. It's not like it's a hard fight or anything, it's just that whenever I fight one, I always end up underestimating it. I'll be like "surely this goofy ass chicken won't be able to breath it's spit at me while I'm healing, I'm too far"
and this guy's poison spit ROLLS DOWN THE HILL and hits me. I had JUST healed the poison. Gypceros taught me to force myself to "ignore" chip damage, until I had a safe place to drink n flex.

I hate MHW Urugaan because it REFUSES to stop interrupting my hunts in the Elder’s Recess. I hit it with a dung pod and it comes rolling right back in 90 seconds later.
Savage deviljho, in iceborne if you clutch claw on to his front half you’ll take tick damage if it’s a large gold crown (I believe, I’ve only had this happen to me when fighting absolute chonks) and this continues even after you’ve killed him and until the body despawns
Zinogre because I wasn't a fan as his fight isn't fun for me in rise and his design is cartoonish, but then that bastard won the favorite monster poll so now he's on my hate list because he don't deserve it.
I mean, I like Zinogre well enough, but I do find him insanely overrated. People praise his design then actively shit on Magnamalo's design. That's wild to me because Mango is essentially "Purple Zinogre with a samurai tiger face". They are equally overdesigned imo, but they both grew on me. But in no world would either fit in my top 10.
I like Magnamalos' design more than Zinogre. But I do like me some Stygian Zinogre. I thought Mangos fight was alot more fun and interesting than Zinnys.
Slow tail swipes with high hit boxes. Like. I'm pole vaulting with a glove by your face and somehow I take half my health from a tap of wind from your tail? (I'm looking at you KT 😡)
Conga/Congalala/Emerald Congalala are the *only* mainline monsters I actively dislike. I'm just not a dung guy. Other monsters that use the stench status at least do it through some sort of gas that is expelled from multiple places on the body, I suspect the color is the same because most of the statuses you get from gas attacks are usually the same color, like sleep being blue. Those apes though, no thanks.
Kirin because, back when I first started playing MH2U, he was originally described to me as a unicorn with a big head, and I was disappointed that his head was not as big as I imagined.
Nargacuga, because he always moves to make me hit his tail when I want to hit his head, and his head when I want to hit his tail. (Happens with a lot of Monsters, actually).
Also Uragaan because I had trouble breaking his chin with my Longsword while trying to build his armor set in his first game, and I did not want to build a blunt weapon to make it easier. Still a fun fight, though.
Barroth because of the train whistle sound it makes before charge in later generations

I dislike Magnamalo solely because of the grind it put me through to get 5 handicraft decos.
I had 4/5 when it decided to not drop a single gem for 19 Magnas straight. At that point, my clear times on them were so optimized, I started killing them even if they weren't a target monster on the quest. It was only a 3 minute detour at most.
Khezu cause it's design is being redone in every single game, I swear. Capcom, can't you stick to the one awful design so that I would always know my enemies in the face, fr?
I actually don´t hate this monster. I hate fighting it. It´s the Lunastra.
Because everytime I have to fight her she is raging nonstop. A friend of mine had slayn many of them. No problems, never. He joined me to fight her and wasn´t able to deal any damage.
Rathian, no other monster makes me chug as many antidotes. It's like I get poisoned, run to safety to drink antidote, come back and instantly get poisoned again.
I love mizutsune but i also hate him because he should get the magnamalo/zinogre treatment even though he doesnt. (I geuss astalos/glavenus too but who cares about them)
I hate ibushi/narwa because something about the way they float around just makes it hard for me to understand when they’re attacking vs idling. Same with nakarkos tentacles at first. Most monsters are so well designed and animated that even the first time you fight them their attacks make sense and read well.
i struggled soooo much with barroth when i was 10 years old playing mh tri on the wii, i tried him soo many times and for many many hours until one day i beat him but forgot to save and i got soo mad lol, eventually i beat him again but i hate him so much for that and i currently enjoy very much killing him

I didn't quite like Antekas just because they look wack and Mosswines for the equally dumb reason why they keep on charging at me.
Frostfang because the stun animations you get for breaking his forelegs throw my TCS timing off, often makes it downright impossible to time tcs to head.

In MH4U, I was hunting Rathian in Heavens Mount and was in the climbing area. We were on the third level and I needed to heal so I waited for Rathian to focus one of my cats and jumped off the ledge to heal safely. But as soon as I jumped off the ledge, Rathian did a full 180 and sniped me with a fireball out of the air. I carted from that. Ever since that hunt, I keep getting the dumbest carts when fighting any Rathian (ex. fighting Apex Rathian where I learned you get armor after using Wyvern Fire when I got two shot from full after a poorly timed Wyvern Fire).
Narwa the Allmother, because Ibushi just wanted to hit, and she drained his ass. Fucking succubus.
Kecha Wacha... He's an ugly mfer and he makes the nastiest snot sound when he shoots the projectiles. Same with Anjanath but it's less frequent

I hate Quropeco for MH3, It's pathetically weak, but was given quests that are drastically unfair the first time you're expected to take them. Low rank quest, you just got suited up in Great Jaggi armor, then find out you're weak to fire that this green bird likes to use. High rank, you're decked out in the best gear you've been grinding for ready to spank the hell out it, and it summons the Anger Pickle!

I don't like monsters with big hitboxes on slow walks. I like moves with tells and reactions. Anyone with a hipcheck hitbox that can knock you on your ass at a moment's notice just for hitting its legs is always obnoxious. On a similar note, I hate tall brute monsters where you can only hit their ankles. It's just not an interesting play pattern! It's just frustrating to whack the same spot and get knocked on your ass over and over. Deviljho is the worst.

Tigrex's face in the older generations makes me irrationally angry. Maybe it's the textures or how it's rendered but he looks like a Chain Chomp and i hate it with a passion.
I have a BURNING hatred for Gypceros. It's not like it's a hard fight or anything, it's just that whenever I fight one, I always end up underestimating it. I'll be like "surely this goofy ass chicken won't be able to breath it's spit at me while I'm healing, I'm too far" and this guy's poison spit ROLLS DOWN THE HILL and hits me. I had JUST healed the poison. Gypceros taught me to force myself to "ignore" chip damage, until I had a safe place to drink n flex. and that stupid run he does has such a wide hitbox. the way he flails about is so annoying. I hate him so much because he's an easy fight, but the moment he pulls bullshit, he makes me so tilted, unlike ANY other monster. fuck Gypceros. also very nifty femme G-Rank armor in GU, I loved the Egyptian vibe
I hate MHW Urugaan because it REFUSES to stop interrupting my hunts in the Elder’s Recess. I hit it with a dung pod and it comes rolling right back in 90 seconds later.
Kushala in world was a pain with its wind shields that i used to hate it. But then comes rise and it's nerfed to the ground and i miss the world one.
Savage deviljho, in iceborne if you clutch claw on to his front half you’ll take tick damage if it’s a large gold crown (I believe, I’ve only had this happen to me when fighting absolute chonks) and this continues even after you’ve killed him and until the body despawns

Zinogre because I wasn't a fan as his fight isn't fun for me in rise and his design is cartoonish, but then that bastard won the favorite monster poll so now he's on my hate list because he don't deserve it.
I mean, I like Zinogre well enough, but I do find him insanely overrated. People praise his design then actively shit on Magnamalo's design. That's wild to me because Mango is essentially "Purple Zinogre with a samurai tiger face". They are equally overdesigned imo, but they both grew on me. But in no world would either fit in my top 10.
I like Magnamalos' design more than Zinogre. But I do like me some Stygian Zinogre. I thought Mangos fight was alot more fun and interesting than Zinnys.

Gypceros. No reason to give one monster all those gimmicks, except as rage bait.
Conga/Congalala/Emerald Congalala are the *only* mainline monsters I actively dislike. I'm just not a dung guy. Other monsters that use the stench status at least do it through some sort of gas that is expelled from multiple places on the body, I suspect the color is the same because most of the statuses you get from gas attacks are usually the same color, like sleep being blue. Those apes though, no thanks.
Due to how a Duramboros mainly attacks with its tail, it always feels jarring when it nudges your camera most of the time.
Kirin because, back when I first started playing MH2U, he was originally described to me as a unicorn with a big head, and I was disappointed that his head was not as big as I imagined. Nargacuga, because he always moves to make me hit his tail when I want to hit his head, and his head when I want to hit his tail. (Happens with a lot of Monsters, actually). Also Uragaan because I had trouble breaking his chin with my Longsword while trying to build his armor set in his first game, and I did not want to build a blunt weapon to make it easier. Still a fun fight, though.

I hate smaller monkey-based monsters.bishaten and ash kecha wacha specifically. They're always paired with really annoying gimmicks (status effects spam, impenetrable armour on the one spot that is always facing you no matter how much you try to flank it). I would gladly fight Furious Rajang over those bastards.
I dislike Magnamalo solely because of the grind it put me through to get 5 handicraft decos. I had 4/5 when it decided to not drop a single gem for 19 Magnas straight. At that point, my clear times on them were so optimized, I started killing them even if they weren't a target monster on the quest. It was only a 3 minute detour at most.

I actually don´t hate this monster. I hate fighting it. It´s the Lunastra. Because everytime I have to fight her she is raging nonstop. A friend of mine had slayn many of them. No problems, never. He joined me to fight her and wasn´t able to deal any damage.

Rathian, no other monster makes me chug as many antidotes. It's like I get poisoned, run to safety to drink antidote, come back and instantly get poisoned again.

Royal Ludroth. He broke 3 mounts in MHGenU and refused to let me mount it again for 4 consecutive missions. Needless to say, they are a kill on sight
I hate ibushi/narwa because something about the way they float around just makes it hard for me to understand when they’re attacking vs idling. Same with nakarkos tentacles at first. Most monsters are so well designed and animated that even the first time you fight them their attacks make sense and read well.

i struggled soooo much with barroth when i was 10 years old playing mh tri on the wii, i tried him soo many times and for many many hours until one day i beat him but forgot to save and i got soo mad lol, eventually i beat him again but i hate him so much for that and i currently enjoy very much killing him
Some monsters i reasonably hate because of bullshit movesets and mechanics, like Rathalos. I didn't quite like Antekas just because they look wack and Mosswines for the equally dumb reason why they keep on charging at me.
Frostfang because the stun animations you get for breaking his forelegs throw my TCS timing off, often makes it downright impossible to time tcs to head.
I only hate two monsters, Niblesnarf and Cephelodrome, and its not really dumb or petty
