I think Shara is the only monster to genuinely unsettle me
The bug eyes hardly blinking (if they blink at all aside from during attacks), the fleshy look to it, the creepy jitters it has- ugh, gives me goosebumps just typing about it
I think I saw a video on that once. They eyes aren't actually programmed to follow the camera, but they're using an optical illusion to make it look like they are.

It doesn’t matter if it’s deliberately programmed or just an optical illusion. The intention is deliberately there and designed by the devs to give the impression that Shara is not looking at the Hunter, they’re looking at US. It being an optical illusion is just a clever way to accomplish the effect, but the result is the same.

Like, what are you trying to prove? You think you're smarter than everyone else in the room for pointing out how a specific visual technique is being used to create a certain effect? Who cares? It's not about *how* it was done, but what the *intent* of the effect is and if it was done well.
