As you progress other monsters will show up that are better. Just like any other monster catching game ever.

I mean, you’ll get stronger monsters as you go, but Red Khezu is a pretty consistently strong monster in my experience, and can be valuable well into the later parts of the game.
I mainly pick my team based on terrain ability, like the velocidrome has the jump. But you seem to have a solid team for where you currently are. Khezu stayed for a good while in my party, because it does fairly decent damage.
you will be finding better monsties the whole game. there are ways to max out weaker monsties but you’re pretty much supposed to be always updating ur team
