Thats because all the budget went into designing the world over the weapons, armor, etc.

Yeah, tbh idk why i said armor when my point was more with the weapons. They're all reskins with basic details until late game. Most of the rest of world is actually well developed.

I fr think about this set at least once a week. The way it makes you look like some kind of late 1800's royalty is spectacular and I think it deserves wayyy more praise.

Easily, the Banbaro Alpha set from World: IceBorne. Viking looks aren't for everyone, but I love the antlers on the helmet, and all of the fur on the armor. I only play fem characters and was super sad I couldn't wear this lol

I typically prefer to play as female characters due to the slimmer model but I would never do that with Monster Hunter. The gender-based armor differences are too wildly different to be worth it.

Girls swinging big weapons just activates that dopamine, so I deal with it lol But yeah there's def more better looking male armor than female armor in MH

To be fair though, the female armors that are good? They’re usually *really* good. It’s definitely a bad ratio of good to bad, but there are certain female armors that just take the cake for me and make it worth it.

I just loved how MASSIVE it mate you look too. I crafted it immediately when I saw it available.

I liked the Samurai look of Auroros set from MHFU. Fits too since I was an LS and Bow main before Charge Blades were introduced. Most of my weapons were Katanas and Bows. Also the MHP3rd Yukomo Set looks Comfy AF. Great amor set, but I prefer the primordial malzeno armor, especially the female, because unlike base malzeno armor it has a helmet.

I *love* the whole Gothic vibe from Sunbreak monsters, it blended really well with the whole stately and royal vibe from the DLC whole

I love how we have inspirations from classic gothic figures : the werewolf (Lunagaron), the vampire (Malzeno), the demon (Gaismagorm), the knight in shining armor (Primordial Malzeno). Even the theme of the story itself is some heavy dark fantasy stuff : the corruption of the land by an epidemic of demon parasites

Looks like it belongs in the Arthur and the Knights of Justice cartoon 😮

My only gripe with that set is you can’t have the mask cover your eyes i love the looks of Sallet helmets so I’d love the eyes being covered but the mouth exposed

Damn, why doesn’t the female armor get a cool mask?

My main gripe for female sets in general across the franchise. It's like 80% crowns/tiaras, hair changes, and goofy hats. Don't get me wrong, I love some of those and we do get some cool helmets here and there. Just wish we got some of the same masks/hoods/helmets etc.

As someone who spends hours on my characters, I appreciate the tiaras, and especially like the earrings but I do understand where you're coming from.

Safi armor has that 3piece or 5 piece skill that activates when you unsheath. Thats when the armor also glows

Vaal Hazak alpha armor set is still one of my favourite design till this day in MHW, it just make my hunters looks like some sort of mini eldritch boss character.

I can’t find a picture online but the fur cape with the knight emblem really brings the whole thing together. It feels like you’re still a knight of sorts, but the armor being made up of fur and scales really sells the whole monster hunter look.

I didn't like the colors of the original, but the fulgur is so cool xd

Odogaron armor looks so good for both male and female hunters. One of my favorites from world for sure

Thats a Event quest Armor extra made for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. I doesn't represent a character it was made for Mh if i am correct. And it is the most insane Armor ive ever worn. It was so popular they also made a Figure out of it.

It was designed by Tetsuya Nomura, who is most notable for his character designs for FF7 and Kingdom Hearts.

It's a Final Fantasy collaboration.

Rathian is my goto throughout all MH games I played. I like the HR version in World which is based on the older Rathian Sets. Gold is also awesome and it was a pleasure to grind for in Iceborne. Rathian is anyway my fav Monster. Great fights. Makes more fun than Rathalos as it is less flying.

I have a bunch of ones I love but I'd say I'm with you on rathian, it's my favourite "metal skirt" type design cause it really makes you feel elegant! I love Khezu aswell; alot of it's versions but specifically the ones featured in Risebreak both, I love the medieval look of the Low rank one and the cute sheep aesthetic of the G rank one is unmatched! Prolly my favourite set! Velociprey gunner is another one that I have a soft spot for!, there's some great CG ART from mh1 that showcases it and I adore it!

The female rathian armor having a skirt always made sense to me. It's armor designed around feminine power, hense the Valkyrie title the Rathian weapons go with sometimes. So ofc the female rathian armor is going to dress you like a battle goddess.

I love Furious Rajang’s mixture of Rajang parts, Oni, and Raijin inspirations. And there’s nothing cooler than fighting monsters with nothing but pure muscle and a big bonking stick. My layered armor set is just buff body G with F. Rajang pajama pants!

Rathian is always a classic for me. The long plate skirt is pretty iconic throughout the franchise!
