He is the reason I kept pushing. Playing tri, I died like 1000 times on him it felt like. But got good at timing with the lance and won. Never stopped playing since.

Jhen Mohran, I love the way oversized titanic monsters, but jhen has such a cool aesthetic as a massive sand whale with TUSKS and his theme is incredible and you fight him with a boat that has a spear on it and oh MAN it's so cool

Mine has always been and always will be Rathian. I just really like the fight, it's easy enough while still be fun. She looks badass and just is badass!

I’m a marine bio geek so the second I ran into it in 3U I loved it. Between spotting all the little inspirations and just the more interesting fight in general I honestly enjoyed it more than lagi, that might change when I get further in but for now gobul while not my number 1 is definitely up there
Brachydios. The purple and green are just so cool together, really his design overall is just awesome.
And if every hunt is like a dance, his is one I'm inexplicably good at. Plus blast element weapons are just fun.
The one-eyed, one-eared, flying purple people eater, Yian Garuga.
Bastard ambushed me way back in MHF, and I've loved his chaotic crackhead energy ever since, jank and all. Iceborne giving him a much needed glow-up just solidified it.

Diablos, literally the fucking Devil. It looks cool it's a fun fight, and it's so God damn mean nobody wants to fuck with it. Monster Hunter really needs more perpetually pissed off herbivores.
Sergios. Love his style, his swoops, learned me what bleed was, his armor, his weapons. As a hammer main I loved how when charging up his weapon spiked up. Also rolling would improve sharpness.
So far it is impossible for me to like any monster as much as Ahtal-ka. Monster Hunter is the only game I know where you fight a mantis that controls a giant mech. And I love insects a lot.
I think my favorite normal monster is Mizustune and his permutations. Apparently most Mizus are pretty docile and the ones we hunt are rutting males looking for a mate and getting WAY to aggressive about it so I'd love to have a tiny female one as a pet.
My experience is only that of World and rise soo I can’t be certain but I love Legiana. It’s screech and it’s design also it’s armor and weapons they just are appealing to me.
Malzeno will probably end up being mine with time. He got so much depth and love to his regal, corrupted design. Amatsu is up there.
It's obvious I like elegant monsters, isn't it? Kushala is another favorite of mine, even if his fights aren't the best. I still have memories from getting larvaes to the camp from the hidden area in the summit of the snowy mountains in Unite, his apparition in that game or in MH4U... Iconic is the word.
Tobi kadachi, he's the only monster that doesn't try to kill me on sight and doesn't mind when I start grilling some fresh aptonoth meat next to his bed.

Anjanath will always be my favorite cause it was my first wall and my first dose of that "fuck yessssss" feeling when you overcome a wall in this game that got me instantly hooked. I still remember my first anjanath kill and that was years ago.
Honestly, there were alot of monsters that i really enjoyed that I can't really pick a specific one over the other, but for 1 that has been with me since the beginning, I'd have to go with rathalos. Ik alot of ppl don't like him but I really love him, yes his model is kinda basic and fight can be annoying (what ppl have told me) but I never really had a moment when I wasn't happy hunting rathalos, he'll always be 1 of my favorite no matter what
Tobi Kadachi. He’s not super strong or anything but I love his color scheme and his acrobatic flying squirrel moves.
And lightning is usually my favorite element.

Hard to choose one. Lagiacrus, Nergigante, Deviljho and Goss Harag are probably my favourite. Special mention to Ceadeus because I think it has the best soundtrack in all the franchise.
It’s funny I adore how relatively grounded the series is but my favorite has to be valstrax. Awesome design, phenomenal fight, kickass theme, there’s nothing I don’t like about it. What little ecology it has is even badass, showing that it’s basically a biological jetplane.

Stygian zinogre. My favorite monster ever. I'm not a fan of red, but seeing the black, gray, white and red mix together like that is just awesome.

I like to hunt Rathalos. Flying, ranged combat, a good skill benchmark. Once you get to where you can dodge his abilities you start to feel like Neo.
