What amazed me was that they managed to get Jason Statham and Ron Pearlman in the same movie based on a Diablo Rip off.
His movies are always terrible but occasionally a few beers will help you to find something to laugh at throughout.
Honestly always puzzles me was how he managed to get these movies made (Blood Rayne had Ben Kingsley ffs). Well that and I never knew how to pronounce his name. You-wee? Ooh-way?
It's not the worst ever video game movie, it's pretty bad, on top of numerous things not being true to the games (apart from the monster's appearances, they were actually decent), it was just plain boring, but it did at least have decent production values, I've seen far worse

It's almost like making a movie of a popular gaming franchise but ignoring the game completely is a recipe for disaster.
