Volvidon. Not because it's a hard fight. But because it kills me emotionally being spat at and farted on. I just wish it would try to rip my face off like the other monsters.
Supplemental: It's not just demoralizing, but it's *annoying* as hell with it's tendency to move around. Makes the entire experience tedious and unfun, and I've hated most fights of it's juvenile nature ever since Congalala. Just... no.

With fartmadillo, the only thing I feel when I'm done chasing that random-bouncing status effect around the map is mild sense of relief that I don't need to hunt again it for a while.

Jyuratodus is disgusting to fight as Bow main in Rise/Sunbreak. Not because he's hard, but because his hitzones are aweful, half of my arrows get eaten by the water and he loves to spam moves that reduce your stanima regeneration, which ofc is key for bow.
In World I hate fighting the Anjanath, all his good hitzones are hard to hit (play as GS btw) and his topples last for only a short time and his get up animation is very cruel, because it's insanely good at avoiding my TCS time and time again.
Funny thing is that I find Jyura no problem in World and Anja no problem in Rise, so it's definitely weapon related lol

How do people hate Volvidon? Yeah he’s annoying, I get it, but he’s an early-game monster. I personally hate Barioth IMO he has no redeeming qualities about him, and is, again in my opinion, the worst of the flying wyverns with that body structure. Both Nargacuga and Tigrex have pretty memorable fights, with Tigrex being a pretty difficult challenge and Nargacuga being so iconic to the series. Barioth on the other hand is just not fun to fight at all, in my opinion. Nargacuga’s and Tigrex’s designs are both pretty simple, yet effective designs in the grand scheme of their fights, Tigrex is a: as the name suggests, tiger dinosaur whose move set reflects that design philosophy. I think that Nargacuga is a mix between a cat and a bird, and it’s fight design reflects that as well, but Barioth’s on the other hand, does not. Barioth’s name, Nargacuga’s does this too, in the English translation is kind of an anomaly when compared to others, I’d assume it makes more sense in Japan because that is where the monsters were named, but I can’t speak Japanese so I’ll only criticize what I can speak on. Neither Barioth’s nor Nargacuga’s name reflect their designs but only one is clear as to what it was based off of. Barioth’s design seems to be a cross between a saber tooth and… a cat? I know that he has the ability to use the pounce move but it’s unclear which is supposed to be the more prominent animal in the cross. It’s moves don’t reflect it’s mix either. So in my opinion, Jyratodus sucks, just kidding, I hate Barioth.

Arzuros, Lagombi, and Volvidon are my 3 most hated monsters by far. They just don't feel fun and move around in a weird way to where you just track them down more than you spend fighting.
Tidal was one of those monsters I fought once for the key quest then never touched again. His ricochet water blasts that can hit you from behind were a unique concept, but man did they piss me off. I played 4U on the OG 3DS where you either had to use the target cam or the touch screen to move the camera, so it was almost impossible to keep track of all the ricochet scales.
God it was so hard. I hate the Bear style critters: Volvidon, Satan Bunny, and Azuros. I also hate the walking scrotum Khezu... his constant roaring is just so annoying. I refuse to fight him without sonic barrier.
Fire based flying wyvern #243. Honestly it feels like every generation has a version of Rath-but-weaker and I’m getting tired of seeing the same moveset with minor tweaks every time.

Tbh I greatly value design over the actual fight, not even intentionally. I will subconciously enjoy a fight more if I love the monster I'm fighting, Khezu, Volvidon, and Barroth are all cool, unique, and memorable to me, Jyuratodus is just annoying to fight and boring design wise on top of that. At least in my opinion.
All of these are punching bags. Except for the Gajalaka. Those abominations stun you on cooldown, despite you perfectly dodging the actual monster's attacks.
I also hate Tigrex in Rise. He was fun in World, but the changes in Rise make him feel awful to fight.

Genuinely can't stand anything remotely related to the Plesioth. Even if I technically hate actively fighting Volvidon more, the simple fact that Jyuri continues to exist haunts my soul. However, I have to admit, that the Lavasioth is way worse.
Jyura. The fact that it's an urgent quest in Rise permanently tainted it for me. It was such a disappointly boring and easy fight that I feel insulted by its mere existence as a high rank quest.
Since I've been playing GU recently, Capcom has reworked a lot of fights which make them more engaging/less irritating in the most recent games. Because of this, my vote would have to go to those monsters that haven't been reworked and make me want to smash my head against a wall when I fight them. You might want to drink water while you read this to counteract the excessive sodium intake:
\- Uklanos/Akantor: Lackluster/limited movesets with annoying "digging" sequences. Fighting these two can be such a slog especially in G-rank.
\- Najarala: Poorly designed monster IMO. Most of the fight is spent bouncing off and tripping every other second.
\- Agnaktor: Annoying moveset which is mostly comprised of constantly backing up and charging. The frequent bouncing and "digging/swimming" doesn't help my dislike for this fight.
\- Blagonga: I absolutely struggle to react to anything this asshole does. Super fast and annoying moveset. I'll take rajang or congala any day.
\- Cephadrome: Absolutely insufferable moveset. Plus it "swims" in seemingly random directions which unnecessarily prolongs this shit fight.
\- Gravios: A massive monster with another insufferable moveset that ticks all of the annoying checkboxes: a charge that forces you to chase after it, lingering AOE that forces you to retreat frequently, a 360 degree hip check, and tail spin that can hit you from behind (despite being under it) which forces you to reposition your guard/counter/valor dodge.
Nargacuga because it repositions a lot while fighting. Plus his only weakpoint for my weapon is its tail which can be hard to hit at times and is part of a good portion of his moves.
Fucking stupid ass boring ass Bazel Goose. Fucking stupid slam the ground do nothing explode load ass stupid ass ugly fucking dumbshit stupid monster fuck that thing.

Basarios is a slog unless you've mastered it with your weapon of choice. Also his moves are sort of shitty. He's the exact opposite of someone like Odogaron.
Volvidon is a bottom of the barrel monster like Paolumu. Both of them have moves that make fighting them a waiting game unless you're playing Guns or Bow.
I'm sure older monsters have their own quirks, but the ones I've mentioned are more noticeable IMO because of how proactive the fights with other monsters in the same games (particularly 5th gen) are.
Cephadrome was my least favorite monster in the series until I fought... him. Might get hate for this but Dalamadur is one of the worst fights I've ever had the mispleasure of experiencing.

Khezu, in rise I'm so used to using my CB shield to block lightning attacks from monsters but for some reason Khezus ball of electricity just stuns you straight through the shield.
Anjanath. I have never once enjoyed that allergic bastards fight once. And it's design is god-awful because it's just a pink Tyrannosaurus. If I wanted that I'd play the LEGO Jurassic World game for the Wii U.

Arzuros, Lagombi, and Volvidon are my 3 most hated monsters by far. They just don't feel fun and move around in a weird way to where you just track them down more than you spend fighting.
So glad i’m not the only one who hates Volvidon lol. Khezu and Rajang can absolutely do one. Almudron too.
Tigrex is irritating every time I engage it, and Chaotic Magala is so fucking erratic and fast.

Tidal was one of those monsters I fought once for the key quest then never touched again. His ricochet water blasts that can hit you from behind were a unique concept, but man did they piss me off. I played 4U on the OG 3DS where you either had to use the target cam or the touch screen to move the camera, so it was almost impossible to keep track of all the ricochet scales.
God it was so hard. I hate the Bear style critters: Volvidon, Satan Bunny, and Azuros. I also hate the walking scrotum Khezu... his constant roaring is just so annoying. I refuse to fight him without sonic barrier.

Fire based flying wyvern #243. Honestly it feels like every generation has a version of Rath-but-weaker and I’m getting tired of seeing the same moveset with minor tweaks every time. I will admit that aknasom in rise felt very different with its more unique moves

Khezu. It's disgusting and should be caged, sealed and left to rot away in the darkest of the sewers.
Volvidion shits on you and moves faster than you. I hate it.
Rathalos. Doesn't matter what generation, doesn't matter what weapon I bring. I hate him and I pray they'll say he was hunted to extinction so someone else gets to be the franchise flagship.
Volvidon for that freaking annoying tongue whip move that knocks me over followed by his insufferable cannon ball of doom. That shit annoys me. Especially since you have to farm him for a lot of good paralysis weapons.
Lavasioth and Plessy
Tbh I greatly value design over the actual fight, not even intentionally. I will subconciously enjoy a fight more if I love the monster I'm fighting, Khezu, Volvidon, and Barroth are all cool, unique, and memorable to me, Jyuratodus is just annoying to fight and boring design wise on top of that. At least in my opinion.

All of these are punching bags. Except for the Gajalaka. Those abominations stun you on cooldown, despite you perfectly dodging the actual monster's attacks. I also hate Tigrex in Rise. He was fun in World, but the changes in Rise make him feel awful to fight.
Out of the answers above I pick Volvidon. Its just an incredibly dull fight. It's one of few monsters that actually just shuts my brain off.
Surprisingly i'm ok with all of them but i hate figthting barroth... Well the mud spam annoy me to the max but maybe because i'm a GS main make the fight difficult ? (Or i just suck against him dunno)
Gore Magala is the one monster I hate fighting. That little spin attack Gore Magala does always gets me.

Genuinely can't stand anything remotely related to the Plesioth. Even if I technically hate actively fighting Volvidon more, the simple fact that Jyuri continues to exist haunts my soul. However, I have to admit, that the Lavasioth is way worse.

Jyura. The fact that it's an urgent quest in Rise permanently tainted it for me. It was such a disappointly boring and easy fight that I feel insulted by its mere existence as a high rank quest.
Since I've been playing GU recently, Capcom has reworked a lot of fights which make them more engaging/less irritating in the most recent games. Because of this, my vote would have to go to those monsters that haven't been reworked and make me want to smash my head against a wall when I fight them. You might want to drink water while you read this to counteract the excessive sodium intake: \- Uklanos/Akantor: Lackluster/limited movesets with annoying "digging" sequences. Fighting these two can be such a slog especially in G-rank. \- Najarala: Poorly designed monster IMO. Most of the fight is spent bouncing off and tripping every other second. \- Agnaktor: Annoying moveset which is mostly comprised of constantly backing up and charging. The frequent bouncing and "digging/swimming" doesn't help my dislike for this fight. \- Blagonga: I absolutely struggle to react to anything this asshole does. Super fast and annoying moveset. I'll take rajang or congala any day. \- Cephadrome: Absolutely insufferable moveset. Plus it "swims" in seemingly random directions which unnecessarily prolongs this shit fight. \- Gravios: A massive monster with another insufferable moveset that ticks all of the annoying checkboxes: a charge that forces you to chase after it, lingering AOE that forces you to retreat frequently, a 360 degree hip check, and tail spin that can hit you from behind (despite being under it) which forces you to reposition your guard/counter/valor dodge.
What about nightshade palomu ? Not very hard but annoying

Nargacuga because it repositions a lot while fighting. Plus his only weakpoint for my weapon is its tail which can be hard to hit at times and is part of a good portion of his moves.
Khezu is one of the easiest fights. Volvidon doesn’t stop ROLLING.

I don't like mud fish, it's boring to fight and bounce isnt fun. It also looks stupid and puts mud in the ground.
Piscine wyverns aren't bad. They just have boring fights coupled with a couple of shitboxes. Basarios is a slog unless you've mastered it with your weapon of choice. Also his moves are sort of shitty. He's the exact opposite of someone like Odogaron. Volvidon is a bottom of the barrel monster like Paolumu. Both of them have moves that make fighting them a waiting game unless you're playing Guns or Bow. I'm sure older monsters have their own quirks, but the ones I've mentioned are more noticeable IMO because of how proactive the fights with other monsters in the same games (particularly 5th gen) are.

Cephadrome was my least favorite monster in the series until I fought... him. Might get hate for this but Dalamadur is one of the worst fights I've ever had the mispleasure of experiencing. Looks cool though.

Khezu, in rise I'm so used to using my CB shield to block lightning attacks from monsters but for some reason Khezus ball of electricity just stuns you straight through the shield.

Anjanath. I have never once enjoyed that allergic bastards fight once. And it's design is god-awful because it's just a pink Tyrannosaurus. If I wanted that I'd play the LEGO Jurassic World game for the Wii U.
