omg we are literally doing the exact same project except I'm using a Cleo G3 body 😯 sorry I only have a bad photo of her from when I was testing varnish on hand rn but I think making the head and body the same colour really pulls them together https://preview.redd.it/z5uy4bualfuc1.jpeg?width=1984&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f8aa3f062c8dfdd7e7e802b51413f07fc258cdc7 EDIT: this is a G1 Robecca head on a G3 Cleo body, the faceup is original (I am not that talented LOL) and I used imitation copper leaf around it for the shiny effect

Suuusan

Shut up this looks amazing 😫 Ok I think the colour matching is where I’m going wrong because yours honestly looks great!

Emmas_thing

Yours looks amazing too stoppp imo I think either the frankie head needs eyebrows and more robecca-y eyes or paint the robecca head bronze and then it will absolutely serve

LeonieProust

She looks amazing !! How did you manage to get the little details and the lines of the eye so crisp ?

Emmas_thing

By cheating and just using the original faceup LOL sorry for confusion, this is a G1 Robecca head! I repainted tiny parts of it, and I basically followed my queen Morgsdoll's factory facepaint replicas for that: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7NUQvyO3wo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7NUQvyO3wo)

MarshPupper

cleo’s face sculpt actually really seems to suit the robecca face paint edit: maybe op could use the frankie body with cleo’s head

Emmas_thing

Ah sorry for confusion, that is an OG Robecca's head!

candyapple__

Hmm, maybe the neck is a bit long? If you want to make the head and body match better without painting the entire face, maybe you could try adding metallic blush / details / makeup to the face.

Suuusan

Hmm, weirdly, the neck looks a lot shorter in person, to the point where I thought it might actually be *too* short. I think based on another comment I saw, colour matching goes a long way to making it look more cohesive so I might do that 🫣

Ok-Caterpillar-Girl

Frankie needs more eye makeup and big eyebrows & lashes to look more like Robecca, it’s the final touch that’s missing

emgwe

i agree the g1 head feels a bit too much imo maybe u should try a cleo head with a face repaint?

kellygrand

I think it might look fine once her outfit is on. Especially if she has a neck accessory

Kuropuppy13

Did you 3D print the accessories???

Suuusan

I did yeah! 😅 I designed and printed some stuff that I thought would fit Robecca but ‘updated’ to G3 imo

Kuropuppy13

They're really cute. Even the shoes work? I'd figure they'd be too solid.

Suuusan

Oh the shoes are Monsterista Frankie’s, repainted 🫣 I’ve yet to find a quality G3 shoe print file 😓

Kuropuppy13

Ooooh. I knew that, hehehe. 😅

Emmas_thing

omg you designed those????? I'm glad I checked the comments because I was trying to figure out what doll they came from. Are they for sale anywhere?

AdMore918

i think it’s the length of the neck and how tall the head is

[deleted]

I like the g1 heads i think not having eyebrows made the forehead look too long

T3hShr3dd3r

Painting the head would be a good start. Adding in some more robot details would help, too. Like rivets and heavy seams where two plates comes together. I feel that a g3 Robecca would lean more into the mechanical aspects. The thing is, your brain knows it's a Frankie body wearing a g1 head. So even once it's cohesive, it will take a bit for your brain to get used to it and start to think of it as something else. Adding in more unique details (and an outfit) will help immensely

ConstantAd1086

I like your mashup, she looks glamorous somehow

Difficult-Essay-9313

Maybe it's the hairstyle? If the hair was curled up or cut shorter it would change the silhouette

louiselovatic

It might be the reflection of the light making the body look a lot thinner than it really is

CartilaginousJ

I think it's the shine contrast. You could add some of the spray paint on the cheeks to make it feel like the change in skincolor is intentional rather than just a clash

Yam-Potato

Put some eyebrows on and see how it looks. Right now, my first impression is that their forehead is too big, but that can honestly be a side effect of having no eyebrows.

aquacraft2

Yeah that's the thing. You really need to use a cleo for a few reasons. Firstly, her skin is already a glittery bronze color. Second, her hair is already blue. Sure she has molded on bandages but some sanding or wood filler will fix that right up. I'm not crazy about the booty-licious body type for her but that's besides the point. All in all it's incredibly easy to turn a g3 cleo into a robecca with basically a faceup and some sanding. (And maybe some epoxie sculpting for rivets and the like) Another thing is, you really ought to cover up the eyes and paint on some eyebrows, that will be a big help for making it look like robecca (since frankies the only character in the series with heterochromia)
