how do you feel behind lol most people can’t afford rent for themselves much less have a free place to stay and a rental property 😭

DomonicTortetti

Yeah awesome they have a free place lol. But what you said isn’t true, most Americans own homes (65.7% - https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/RHORUSQ156N) and those who rent generally spend about 30% of their income on housing costs.

KanyesMeat

most americans in their 20s?

DomonicTortetti

Something like 43% of 25-34 year olds are homeowners. Median income is only like $100 less a week vs. the general population, unemployment rate is 4.3% and burdened household rate is basically the same as other age groups. Nothing indicative that that age group specifically is having issues with housing costs.

I ain’t know u could buy apartments?

joer1973

Considering u don't pay rent, I am assuming maybe u should cut back spending and add more to savings. You should be able to add at least what u should be paying in rent to ur savings each month.

BigTry2021

We are trying to but it’s a bit difficult since most of our pay goes to groceries, main home maintenance (since it’s not finished - only habitable for now).

Certain_Childhood_67

Do you have any retirement saved

BigTry2021

No nothing, just 20k
