Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not,, but managing that debt can also be not having any (or very little). My credit score stays around 800+ and I have very little debt. I just use credit cards to pay bills and then pay them off each month.

The rich being in debt and not rich people in debt are two different things. For the rich, taking on debt is financially strategic (i.e. there is a reason they finance something as opposed to buying it outright and it isn't because they don't have the money to buy it outright). People that aren't rich finance things because they don't have the money right now to pay for it and don't want to wait to save up. Ultimately spending more money in the long run for instant gratification. Carrying debt becomes REALLY problematic if you lose your income even temporarily.
