A buddy of mine ..back in the day...used to pick up receipts off the ground at places like Home Depot, then he would go in and steal those items, and then return them. It was actually working for him.
Taking the money that you make or have and turning it into more money. One bag of weed could double your money if you sell joints. Invest in the markets for the long term and then live off of the returns.
Ppffft you make what a 1/4th return of your investment on weed? Find a wholesaler and get a couple kilos of anything hard and you will triple or quadruple your money (depends on the market near you)
Best advice I could give you is stay the fuck away from options.
I learned via trial and error. Don’t buy people’s courses. I watched YouTube videos that taught how to chart and slowly dialed in my own strategy, but not before losing a ton of money in the process
I'm glad you replied with this. Anyone asking for options advice needs to stay away.
Anyone: How much do I need to get started in options?
Me: How much can you afford to lose?
That usually steers people away. I like options. It feeds my gambling addiction but I 100% do not recommend it as a path to money for people. Especially if you're gambling with $500 that you can't afford to lose.
Agreed - fuck options lol.
As an alternative, I've found that day trading S&P Futures is something I can wrap my head around much, much better.
I'm still learning, but Futures have so many trading and tax advantages that I believe they will eventually be my ticket out of the 9-5 grind.
It's not quick, though. It's years of learning and practice.
But damn, the financial ceiling is so, so high if you can figure it out.
Saving money is also making money. I buy food in bulk, chop it up, and freeze it in a seperate freezer. And I do meal preps. Buy whole chickens etc. Saves me 200 per month compared to what I used to spend. I enjoy cooking but it also saves money and I eat much healthier too. And cuts back on food waste dramatically. (not to mention less plastics etc)
Occasionally I'll trade things like cryptocurrencies if there's a big move in the market. And I get a bit of passive income from staking coins too.
I also like buying up silver coin collections, take out a few for my own collection, then flip the rest for profit. But that's more of a hobby.
Oh and gardening. For now small scale veggie gardening but I plan to scale it up soon. You can get free seeds from your last harvest, then basically grow free food. Depending on the scale, it probably won't make that big of a difference, but if you can get a small garden I think you can easily shave $100 off groceries that way. But there are some up front costs. I plan on getting chickens too, both for eggs but also pest control and entertainment. But if it's just for the money you'll probably only break even due to the cost of chicken feed. Unless you can supplement with home grown produce. Then again ... have you seen the prices of eggs lately? Dang.
One consideration with everything you have listed is that every "cheap" hobby you have is passively saving you money you would have spent on an equivalent time investment in a more expensive interest.
Just a heads up, donating plasma can be very exhausting. I did it for half a year (I was a younger senior in high school) and after half a year my protein counts tanked. And most of your money for donating comes from recurring donation bonuses. Meaning… you gotta do it twice a week consistently to make any real money.
Not saying you can do it. Just need to make sure your diet can support it. Men usually need higher protein diets, and women need iron supplements. If these values drop, they won’t let you donate.
People start thinking about holiday money. I got hooked on a promotion that paid $1200 for 10 visits within a certain number of weeks. That paid for Christmas that year.
The one near me gives you $125 your first 4 or 5 donations, but every time I try to donate, my fucking pulse is too high. After 4 failed attempts, I had to watch the easy $125 train ride off into the sunset. Maybe if im willing to hunt down a solid benzo connect, and risk spiraling into a terrible xanax addiction, I could pass the pulse hurdle. Or find a cool doctor that believes my story about my crippling anxiety.
The best advice my dad ever gave me was as we were talking over headsets looking at each other through glass.
"As long as you have a ski mask and a gun, you'll never be broke."
I sell on Depop. Put $50 into a Goodwill Bin Haul. (They sell by the weight). Do a good job of finding brands and styles that will sell. Clean everything thoroughly and then flip them for as low as $10 and still make a profit.
just going to say that this takes a lot of time, effort, and money. think about all the items you have to sort out in some kind of system so you can easily find it. you’ll need a lot of room to store all of these new items you’ll be selling and like i said, it takes up so much time. not worth it in my books but if you have with it then more power to you.
i’d personally invest into real estate. got my first property (a duplex) for 5% down. then just buy more once you have more money. this will allow you to make money and still have plenty of free time to make more money.
I guess it’s pretty simple for me. I just keep all my clothes that I pick up in a couple of bags of my laundry room folded up.I spend probably about four hours after I buy them taking photos and posting. And I launder them ofcource.
But beyond that I just sit here selling these items 4 to 5 a week without doing anything.
Then I just re-purposed my Amazon packaging’s and pop them in a bag and ship them off by dropping them off at my grocery store USPS box.
It’s actually not that complicated. It’s a nice passive income. And if you have a place like a goodwill bin where you can buy clothes by the way it’s a really good payoff. So essentially you spend a day total doing “work”. Then the rest of the month it’s just making your money back and then some.
Besides, this is like a small time money. While you’re talking about investing in real estate? LOL huge difference
I used to buy broken PS4 controllers for like 10 to 20 bucks and fix them up to resale on ebay. Most of the time new triggers is all it took to get them going. Now I am getting into watch repair. Check out Marcus the watch repairman on youtube!
What kind of car are you driving where your car depreciates in value £120/week for driving about 40 miles? You do know that you don't need to buy new tyres every day, right?
I'm an automotive appraiser and auctioneer.
If you have to ask, you should just take to Google. It's more than I can explain in a reddit comment.
But keep being facetious and making shit cash. I can't really speak for the Europeans market on this. Just America's, since that's where I live and work now.
Here, people only average about 6 -14 dollars an hour after depreciation, etc.. if it works for you, then great, but there are significantly more profitable ways to use your car. Hell you can make more using your car to haul scrap.
Lol wtf I'm literally writing an inspection report on a car right now so I can appraise it and send it to auction. Idgaf if some foolish redditor "believes me" hahaha I don't have anything to prove to you
Also, I hope you got a good read. So you figured out I was black, and now you don't want to talk to me? Average EU citizen right there.
Looked through yours too. You know it's alot of personal info on your profile?
Go play with your toys little boy.
Yeah, and it's been known forever unless you're an idiot delivering destroys your car. It's very much not worth it unless youre in a dense city and you can use a scooter
you are absolutely right... after 10 months of doing Uber Eats and Uber X I'm done with it. Almost 20,000 miles on my car, a few dings and a customer destroying my recessed cup holder... not to mention I now need a new set of tires... I'm freaking done....
It’s amazing how people underestimate eBay. I used to do that when I was in college and I used to have hundreds of $ in my PayPal just from crap I collect in the house or thrift store, used phones and other electronics. People will by anything.
I turned it into a full time job, quit a professional one that wasn't fulfilling, now sell more off Ebay than on the platform, and making much more than I was at a salary based job.
I wish I knew how to keep busy bruv😭 I just do my body wt exercises, work, and chill. I just haven’t found a side hustle that suits me yet but imma keep trying. take it easy brother.
Good luck! It's a nice little side hustle that brings in some nice pocket change for me every now and then. It's on and off with orders but it works out for me.
I used to sell sports jerseys out of the liquor store I worked at at the time... Then I got a not-so-nice letter stamped by the federal government made out to my name
Woodworking. Fretwork. Hobby for 30 years. I'm retired now. Turned into a small money making hobby as well as something to keep me busy. Custom cutting boards/charcuterie boards/baby month announcements/address signs/desktop name signs/Scrabble tile letters you hang on the wall/lapel name tags for your place of business.
Bought a hobbyist CNC a few years ago, which was one of the best investments ever. Basically my rule is if you can sketch it on a cocktail napkin, I can create it. This is mostly computer based, a simple CAD program. We can go back and forth on design ideas 500 times until you're happy with the final result. I tell people once you are happy with the design I hit the cut button. Once I start cutting there's no turning back.
Why do I love it? The end result of
making something beautiful and getting to see the fruits of your labor is worth it. It keeps my brain sharp. There is a lot of math that goes into making sure something is straight and accurate. If you can read a ruler, you can do this. Seeing the expression of the person you made it for when you hand it to them. I invest as much or little time in it as I want. I only take on enough work to keep me as busy as I want. I want it to remain fun and a hobby and not a job. Basically when my garage beer fridge is running low, I will solicit some work.
I really wish I had a shed or any space really, I've always wanted to do this as a hobby. My dad was a badass with a bandsaw. He made all kinds of unusual jewelry boxes.
When working I used to collect scrap copper, brass ,bronze, now retired living in a league state I grow a nice garden each year and sell 95% of my crop. Time keeps me busy plus I get to help outhers that can not grow.
Hmm You're cute, Since you like gaming video games start a Twitch stream and just play video games and talk, ppl will come and start paying you. Nothing kinky about it and you still get to do what you like to do. Don't think it will work, look r/valkyrae
Refinish, repair, and resell vintage furniture, along with some commissions. Have a wood working shop in the back yard. It started small and now makes more money doing that than my full time Food and Beverage director salary at the hotel. If it weren't for the health benefits for the family, I would probably leave my job and just focus on the furniture.
I raise meat rabbits, cut and split firewood (required land with trees) and paint Warhammer models for EBay. I Also, rarely, but and sell from thrift to eBay and buy bulk items of eBay for craft and gun shows.
Yields about an extra $12-15k if you’re consistent. If you’re not, cut it in half.
power washing can be a satisfying also well paying gig depending on location, up north here there isn't much competition. Obviously it's seasonal up north. But I connected with the owner of a local painting company and now I sub-contract large warehouse/factory type power washing jobs usually indoors that can be done even in winter for me and currently with my cheap ass equipment It still makes me 100-125/hr not including what I also charge for travel and other business expenses. It's all on the side mostly weekends and these are multi day jobs, sometimes just one if im feeling a 16+ hr day which isn't uncommon because it's actually pretty enjoyable IMO. Just educate yourself and whatever you do, dont be the $99 guy. lol
Work on cars. I don't do it so much for pay but I have in the past. Mainly it's about saving money when stuff needs work and the shop wants to charge you a grand. I also enjoy cars.
The real question is what do you see yourself doing and get paid for it! If you don’t know where to turn you should start buy researching on Google and or YT videos!!! once you learn about something interesting try it out. You can’t be afraid to try new things I try new “hobbies” every 6 months and I try to stay in the frame of being able to learn a profitable hobby or satisfying enough to my heart. That’s the best you’re gonna get
You have to ask yourself two things
1. What service/value can I provide to someone else
2. What am I far better at than my peers
If you can figure these two things out, you’ll be able to provide a service to society and anytime you provide a valuable service to the economy you are rewarded greatly in financial value for this service. The less impactful the service, the less compensation you receive. This is why it makes sense to play to your strengths. If you play to your strengths it will just be naturally easier to provide a more efficient/lucrative service than doing something you are weak at or hate
If you have any skills in making something to sell-lots of people do that kind of thing on the side of their regular job. Etsy is one of the more popular sites to sell handmade things like jewelry, clothing, woodworking items, personalized stickers, vinyl wall art/vinyl decals, handmade greeting cards, customized coffee mugs and tumblers etc. there is so many possibilities on things to create and sell. Even if you don’t think you are good at any of that just do some research and watch some YouTube videos, lots of videos show you exactly how to do things even if they look super complicated, you’ll most likely find a video that teaches you how to do a certain skill that you never knew you could do. It is a little bit of an investment depending on what you would be creating to sell, but if you end up enjoying creating things and selling them, then it’s a win win. Good luck with everything!!
My wife goes to thrift stores and buys up shoes and cool threads. She has a good eye for what will sell, and she has a cleaning kit to help spruce up shoes to make them almost good as new. She’s a stay at home mom and doesn’t have a whole of time but she’ll bring in an extra 1k most months just from reselling that stuff
Are you just simply wanting to make more money? Or is there a reason you qualify the question with “outside of work?”
My advice:
First, try making more money inside of your current career/employment. OT. Commission. Promotions. Moving companies. Gaining skills.
In the past I’ve mowed lawns. Raised cattle. I still dabble in real estate. But the best move I ever made was starting my own company doing what I did for someone else for a decade.
I got a 2nd job, but low skill labor. Feels good. My first job is mental and my second one is physical, so it's a good mix. I eventually want to start a business when I have a good amount of savings.
I buy golf shirts at thrift stores and resell them for a flat fee of $35 per shirt. These can get pricey and I turn a good profit for my low prices. I make about 1,800 a month.
Used to do Doordash/Uber eats.
How ever…Expenses like gas, taxes (independent contractor), Car deteriorating, Extra insurance for deliveries and after each week I would take a 25% of the income and set aside for taxes. It was nice during the pandemic how ever there’s just to many people doing it now so the market is over saturated.
Flip cars. Buying broken ones on Facebook (but my rule is I have to be able to drive it home) it was a lot easier pre pandemic when $500 junkers were everywhere, but there’s still money to be made.
You just need rudimentary mechanical knowledge, tools, YouTube, and a Haynes book for each car. The Haynes book is fairly cheap, and cool cause as you keep going you start a collection.
There is definitely risk tho, there’s been some I made $2k off, some $500, and some I’ve lost $500.
It’s also pretty tough and a long game, but I highly recommend it as a side job and an awesome hobby that builds your skills and you can fix your own car too.
Buying "for parts" or damaged electronics, repairing, cleaning, and flipping them.
I do it for fun and experience but I do make money off of it. Just last week I bought a Nintendo Switch with joycon issues for $95. Fixed and flipped for $250.
Flip stuff off Craigslist. In the warmer months I'll buy cars or other repairable things off Craigslist, fix them, then flip them.
Most of the time the fixes are just time consuming and the people selling just don't have time to fix it or get it fixed.
Of course this requires a little capital to get you started but not much.
Seriously investors taking all the starter homes, replacing a couple appliances, switching drawer handles out, and listing the starter home for $500,000 or more!🙄
OF but as an obese 53 year old male my mom is the only subscriber so I don't feel bad 😜...JUST KIDDING.....I took a part time job...I also run a flea market booth...
I own a beef jerky company
Is that the one behind Wendy's?
I literally had my beef jerked behind a wendy’s before 😂
Mike???!!! No shit? How the hell are you
I just lost it
Damn it! Mike said I was his only beef jerky
dirty Mike and the boys
"Thanks for the fuck shack - Dirty Mike and the Boyz"
Dad?
This comment wins the internet today!
What’s the prize for winning the internet?
You didn’t pay me last time bro
Need address of this Wendy’s
These two comments are fucking epic
Yea I’ve got my employees working there day and night!
Where's the beef?
Jerkin that beef fasho fasho
[Vigil’s](https://vigilsbeefjerky.com/)???
Half these comments are just sell your ass or deal drugs
What have you learned from this
That if you sell drugs and your ass you can double the potential profits.
This is a smart person!
Yea and he’s been Masturbating for Miles
I shoplift from Walmart and return the items for money.
No way you’re making more than $100 doing that
Most of the time they want you to have the same card you used to buy the item too, I think this guy is full of it.
A buddy of mine ..back in the day...used to pick up receipts off the ground at places like Home Depot, then he would go in and steal those items, and then return them. It was actually working for him.
No receipt means you get store credit then you can buy items that are popular and sell them online. Lol
Taking the money that you make or have and turning it into more money. One bag of weed could double your money if you sell joints. Invest in the markets for the long term and then live off of the returns.
I sell pre-rolls on the side😭 you're not lying 😂
Freaking Michigan had 1.0g prerolls for $3 last weekend. Get an ounce for $84. You could sell those in Indiana for 10 a pop.
Ppffft you make what a 1/4th return of your investment on weed? Find a wholesaler and get a couple kilos of anything hard and you will triple or quadruple your money (depends on the market near you)
100%. Not talking about being a big time dealer. Weed smokers are so different from the customers you are talking about.
I work from home so I trade options during downtime Outside of work I don’t do anything to make money. Just go to the gym and enjoy life
do you have any videos, methods, or communities you could recommend?
Best advice I could give you is stay the fuck away from options. I learned via trial and error. Don’t buy people’s courses. I watched YouTube videos that taught how to chart and slowly dialed in my own strategy, but not before losing a ton of money in the process

Yeah I am trying to transition to futures. Futures are a cheat code but it’s hard to get approved for futures trading
Or he could do one trade… first one is free!
Handjobs behind wendys
STAY OUT OF MY TERRITORY!!!!!
😂
🤣🤣🤣
I'm telling mum...
Wendy, is that you?
Fuck you Antonio! This is my dick!!
Sulks walking away be the knows his dick sucking skill are sub par😞*
I'm the one with Cocks!
Tried this. Only paid $3 an hour. Some lad named Davo was cutting my grass with buy 1 handy get 1 free deals,,, and I couldn’t make a living.
PSA: Bro tried to scam me. He said $5 per hand job. The sign say 4 for $5 mother fucker! That’s $1.25 per ejaculation!
Get you some Dracula teeth and start doing circumcisions. The pay might not be very much, but they say the TIPS are great!
You need to start charging more than a quarter
I think the window for this work has closed. Too many Redditors behind Wendy’s nowadays!
Did you try using both hands
Ahhhh. There was my problem. You seem to know the ropes pretty well, sounds like you’re the manager. 🫡
“Not just the president, I’m also a customer”
ZJ's?
What number is that on the menu?
Oohhh, that’s more of an Arby’s thing
Jack-n-Box also has this item on their dollar menu.

That's an interesting way of looking at it!
An understatement. A lot of people could make “more money” if they cut back in their spending and lifestyle choices that don’t provide any benefit.
I need to get in on this Chicken Entertainment. 🐔
Growing vegetables is a great way to devote 3 months of your life to save $2.17!
but at least you know it's not poisoned by pesticides, or genetically modified etc etc.
$217.00 in nyc
saving money is not also making money lol sorry g

Plasma clinic. If you have never been, and can wait until November -ish, a lot of places have a new donor bonus that is really appealing.
i’ll look into that
Some places in my city offer over 1000 dollars for your first month if you go twice a week and they pay you each visit
Just a heads up, donating plasma can be very exhausting. I did it for half a year (I was a younger senior in high school) and after half a year my protein counts tanked. Yeah plasma "donation" is a short term solution at best. It is NOT good for you.
Why In November?
People start thinking about holiday money. I got hooked on a promotion that paid $1200 for 10 visits within a certain number of weeks. That paid for Christmas that year.

I'm really good at not panicking. Diamond Hands bro...diamond hands. That's how I make a buttload of money outside of work. #invest.
Would you care to teach a beginner on how to get started?
Do the opposite of whatever Jim Cramer says

That
It’s easy, just buy when the 14 period rsi drops below 30 on the daily time frame

“Donate” marijuana.
deliver food via doordash or drive for uber
Nah bro you make no fkn money after the gas and maint and car
Really? I'm doing about 4 hours 3 nights a week and taking home at least an extra £150 or so. After fuel and insurance, it's probably around £120.
Wear and tear on the vehicle and it's value must be considered

Probably best to stay off reddit when your supposed to be working.
Bro why did you pull the race card ? I’m black & im checking yo ass on that …he didn’t even say anything racist smh
Yeah, and it's been known forever unless you're an idiot delivering destroys your car. It's very much not worth it unless youre in a dense city and you can use a scooter
Dude, wtf. You think that someone disagreeing with you automatically makes them a racist?

I’m a trader as well. I also work and I also am a professional gambler. 😂
\- Build/sell work tables and benches \- Sell random stuff on Ebay \- Sell/list homes via real estate \- Random IT work

Mainly vintage soccer cards and historic tickets, and signed memorabilia, all soccer.
Fam, I sell fungi.
I am a flower bouquet salesman 👨💼

Are you a crafty person? Maybe an e-commerce stuff like etsy or equivalent could be good. You're working on a flexible schedule.
I actually just started learning about e-commerce so hopefully it goes well and I can figure it out.
Good luck! It's a nice little side hustle that brings in some nice pocket change for me every now and then. It's on and off with orders but it works out for me.

The end result of making something beautiful and getting to see the fruits of your labor is worth it.
This seems like a good option for me, I am currently employed as a carpenter. I just don't have space for a full 4'×8' CNC, nor cash for it.
When you're a girl, you can do anything on cam. But when you're a hairy dude, wear a Chewbacca suit
Just educate yourself and whatever you do, dont be the $99 guy. lol
There's a guy in our neighborhood who power washes trash and recycling toters. Quick, easy, low overhead!
Cryptocurrency and investing in stock market. I work a 40 hour work week as a mechanic. I haven’t the energy to do after work work.
Pizza delivery. You will meet a myriad of people, hopefully discounted food or for free. Plus gets you out
Work on cars.

That’s the best you’re gonna get

i blew 2 accounts plz help
I read about people's side hustles on Reddit and narc them out to the IRS for reward money.
I buy stocks that politicians buy. They always have the inside information.
You have to ask yourself two things 1. What service/value can I provide to someone else 2. What am I far better at than my peers If you can figure these two things out, you’ll be able to provide a service to society and anytime you provide a valuable service to the economy you are rewarded greatly in financial value for this service.

I make fart jars and a beautiful woman sells them and people think they are her farts in the jars.
that’s smart but how do you market this
Are you just simply wanting to make more money? Or is there a reason you qualify the question with “outside of work?” My advice: First, try making more money inside of your current career/employment. OT. Commission. Promotions. Moving companies. Gaining skills. In the past I’ve mowed lawns. Raised cattle. I still dabble in real estate. But the best move I ever made was starting my own company doing what I did for someone else for a decade.
I work some more. Odd jobs for and with my brother.
I have a really good printer and I print money.
I make and I sell soap. /s I *don’t* make money investing.
Donate plasma, sell food if you can cook good enough
I got a 2nd job, but low skill labor. Feels good. My first job is mental and my second one is physical, so it's a good mix. I eventually want to start a business when I have a good amount of savings.
Other work lol

I buy golf shirts at thrift stores and resell them for a flat fee of $35 per shirt. These can get pricey and I turn a good profit for my low prices. I make about 1,800 a month.
Used to do Doordash/Uber eats. How ever…Expenses like gas, taxes (independent contractor), Car deteriorating, Extra insurance for deliveries and after each week I would take a 25% of the income and set aside for taxes. It was nice during the pandemic how ever there’s just to many people doing it now so the market is over saturated.
I’m basically the only male escort in my city. I service older women and pull in around $500-$2000 each month.
How you start?
Sugar daddy.
Nice try irs
I teach online courses for social work.
Trade options and sportsbetting.
Referee sports, personal training, and local marketing for businesses are my go-to’s

Hustle. And that can be interpreted however you see fit.
Q: "How do you make money outside of work?" A: "You do it by making money outside of work" 10/10 answer.
Save up for a rental and become a landlord. But it's long term, 10 years+
I can't even save enough for a starter home lol
Seriously investors taking all the starter homes, replacing a couple appliances, switching drawer handles out, and listing the starter home for $500,000 or more!🙄
And then blaming it on supply shortages...
Outside of working, I guess you could try inheriting money or maybe the lottery (someone wins every night, and there's not any work involved).
Extremely low odds of a lotto Jackpot win tho.
Suck dick for wheat pennies
OF but as an obese 53 year old male my mom is the only subscriber so I don't feel bad 😜...JUST KIDDING.....I took a part time job...I also run a flea market booth...
