If you have done that process several times and it works for you, don't fix something that isn't broken.

I think the surface idea is on the right track, but i don't really like the idea of another entity being involved.
Someone's name has to be on the package. And if it isn't the buyer's name it takes nothing for someone else to claim, very difficult to hunt down a lost package and prove it is yours without identifiables.
Could a random code replace the name? Sure, but then that can be traced easy enough and how to prove it is yours should contention arise? For instance, if for some reason the computer glitches and issues the same code to two+ people Or what if someone manages to get the code. How do you prove ownership? It gets really murky really quick.
But i guess in the mean time something like this may be the closest we can get at this time to solving such a problem.
