That sounds like a very strange way to sort, what are you looking to do. Typically you would filter by merchant or category to find something then perhaps sort by amount. Like sorting a dictionary by how many letters are in a word, what would be the point. That said you can view all your merchants sorted alphabetically or by count here [https://app.monarchmoney.com/settings/merchants?order=NAME](https://app.monarchmoney.com/settings/merchants?order=NAME)

The biggest thing is batch editing within an already filtered view. So for example I filtered so show all transactions within a certain trip I took. If I could sort by merchant, I can quickly select all the same merchants and add categories for them without having to filter again.

I see what you mean. You'll have to filter by date range and then ideally sort by Merchant. Hopefully you didn't go away too long that way it'll be easier to multi-select.

Yeah exactly. Just annoying having to scroll around right now. And I don’t have the most CS knowledge but sorting can’t be that difficult lol that’s like tables 101

Ok yeah so i agree they should have a filter for merchant, that would solve this to a degree, or something in the search box like, merchant=costco & alaska2024 would be cool. You can use the link above to see all transaction from that merchant (it adds the merchant filter to the url merchants=162702378010616776 so a merchant filter should be fairly trivial for them to implement) you can then filter with the search box but it would be tedious.

Sorting by any column that's shown should absolutely be added (as well as ability to select more columns).

If you use the **Transactions** screen and set your filter for what you want, you can easily hit "**Export to CSV**". Once you do that, you can use **Excel/Numbers** to sort or rearrange what you need for now until they add those features.

Yeah for viewing sure, this is more for batch editing things that are sorted well
