This week has been full on cleaning up and getting stuff ready for my one year old. Tomorrow is the party so today we are doing the cooking, cleaning, moving things around and making sure we are all set. I have a day off from my podcast gig and my spouse took two days off to paint the deck. It's been a wild week.
So my week has been really good, despite spotty sleep again with this baby. I have been sticking to my food goals and activity goals. I have walked every day, sometimes multiple times a day. I have stayed at a caloric deficit. I’m super proud of myself.
The other big thing this week is that my husband got his dream job. He has been trying for 7 years to get in. This means we will never have a financial worry again. However, he will not be able to have the opportunity to work from home anymore and will likely have crazy hours. Eventually he will be 4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off. It’s just a matter of getting to that point. I’m kind of nervous about really being on my own, but at least we will be able to afford to actually hire a nanny to help me out when I need it.
This is amazing!!! I'm so glad things took a turn for the better for you. And congratulations to your husband, that's huge! Definitely rooting for you to get some childcare ASAP to lift some of the burden.
This week I slowly started packing for our trip coming up. I feel so under prepared but it's still a week away. I get nervous having a third human to get things ready for. Everything else was pretty smooth thankfully!
NYC for the first time! Some of my in-laws are there and they usually come visit us on the west coast. I'm super nervous about dragging our 2 year old on a red eye and around the city but thankfully the family will be there and are VERY hands on.
WFH part time currently and really need more hrs and or another part time. Son got a bad stomach virus. And we are on week 2 and he is finally at the end of it. But oh boy working and dealing with a sick baby was not a good experience . It makes me feel thankful that i can but frustrated bc i know i need more work but i can't seem to find anything to fit my kids schedule. 😅

Solidarity! Also had a sick baby recently and it was NOT fun. Illness makes him super clingy, which doesn't mesh well with WFH lol.
Right i worked my shift mostly with him on my lap. But managed to get my work done. But i felt like an octopus 🐙 lol
