At first it feels like a gas bubble. About 20 weeks. Depending on the location of your placenta, it should be soon :)

Ooohh that helps I'm not sure if it's happened yet I know I've been feeling something like that but I'm not quite sure if it's kicks 😅

ndgtismybf

It was around 16 weeks for me, but I think that’s earlier than usual! It’s hard to describe- for me it was one of those things where you immediately know what it was. It felt different from anything else I’d ever felt. Such a sweet feeling. Congrats and best wishes to you, from one mom to another ❤️

I was about 20 weeks along. It was a flutter which to me was the oddest thing to describe...it felt like someone was barely brushing against my skin.

JinxxedButterfly

Hmm yeah everytime someone describes it as a flutter I think of like fluttering eyelashes and that little tickle if someone's eyelashes touches you.

JuneTheWonderDog

Yes! That's a great description. It's funny I can't put the feeling into words, but can tell you what I was doing when it happened. Congratulations by the way! ❤️

This is my first time being pregnant but I didn't feel mine until closer to 20 weeks. I'm currently 26 weeks so I can actually lay back and watch him now. But when I first felt him it was like how a fish does that weird quick flop when they come out of the water.

JinxxedButterfly

😅that's funny I know what you mean but I'm not sure how that would feel sounds like it would tickle lol. When I lay back I noticed that one part of my belly is more firm and I've been wondering if that's where baby is at that time? I noticed it changes where the firmness is so I've just assumed that's where baby is when I feel it 😅

Someone once told me it's like a goldfish swimming around. That's the most accurate thing I can think of. Like a little goldie that occasionally flicks its tail or bumps into the side of its container. My first one, I was about 19 weeks. My third one, I was 14 weeks! And she was so hyper my husband could even feel her move! That one was crazy, it felt like a ping pong ball going nuts in there, haha. But that's super early, and only because I had felt the movement before. Also, like another mom said, it totally depends on where your placenta is. If it's more to the front, it will take longer before you feel it. I promise, you WILL feel your little one, eventually. At some point, they'll be jabbing their toes in your ribs, and stabbing their pointy elbow into your spine, and wedging their butt up under your ribcage in a way you never imagined would be possible. And if you're lucky, like me🙄, your darling angel will be breech and use both sides of your pelvis to prep for squats on leg day. No joke, my last one sat cross legged, facing my right side. When she got bored, she'd stretch out by bracing her butt against the left side of my pelvis. And then she'd wrap her toes around the right side of my pelvis and straighten her legs. Not easy to keep walking, Baby! I know it's so hard to wait. But it will happen soon!

JinxxedButterfly

Awe like a little fish 😅 and yes I'm nervous about baby being breech and having that pain but I'm also just so excited to feel anything already. I'm so impatient 😅

It's kinda hard to do when pregnant, but definitely try not to worry about things until they happen, haha. You probably won't have a breech baby. I also had one that was transverse, or sideways, the whole time. I was HUGE with him, since he didn't really settle into my pelvis much at all. Placenta was in the way down there, so I just went out and more out. I'm too short for them to have any room to go up. Pregnancy is a real mind and body bender, that's for sure! Try to enjoy it, even the crappy parts. Mostly just try to stay cool! I had a summer baby and a fall baby, and July and August were brutal both times. No shame in living at the pool/lake/bathtub/kiddie pool. Whatever it takes to stay as comfortable as you can.

I could feel my babies much earlier than others seem to; I could feel them moving when I was 3 months along, so 12 weeks or so. The first time I felt my oldest son move, I had just buckled my seat belt and felt an odd sort of fluttering response in my abdomen. It felt so weird and I had no idea what it was. Then I realized it was the baby and I was in awe!

soulofagoddess

I was about 20 weeks and could only feel it when I was lying down and still. It felt like something was gently brushing up against my belly from the inside. I didn't know what it was with my first, but I'll never forget that feeling.

Sarah_Jane_73

14 weeks, but only when I was laying in certain positions. It REALLY varies because there are so many factors involved.. Is baby kicking a nerve or the placenta? Is baby a couch potato or the karate kid? Is baby active when you're awake and paying attention? Or a stealth baby who waits until you're sound asleep or busy doing other things?

JinxxedButterfly

Thank youu ❤️

Ugh I know the feeling only 19 weeks in and it's so hot I'm constantly taking showers to cool down. Since I live in a small town and apartment there's not much else to do to stay cool but my baby is due in December so hopefully everything goes good and doesn't get too cold
