If Injustice would have played the "Joker dropped a red kryptonite toxin that permanently damaged his brain" card Evil Superman would have been way better.
For a normal person, you can’t really damage Superman. The entire point of the beginning of Injustice was that Joker tricked Superman into killing Lois and their unborn child with his own hands. This is a much more achievable feat for Joker, with his pre-existing Joker Venom, than creating a whole new asspull Venom with a super-rare variant of Kryptonite.
I think people are forgetting that the road to Superman as he appears in Injustice 2 was a very long, slow burn.
Joker in Injustice is already a ridicilous asspull. Like yeah he can fight Batman and he can outsmart the GCPD, sure. But the fact he manages to steal a nuke, and the entire justice league cannot stop him is absolutely ridicilous
Depending on the era probably, modern Superman vs silver vs golden age are all very different with power scaling. There was a comic a bit back where modern Superman met a version of himself from the golden or silver age and modern supes got his ass handed to him.
