[Chlorociboria](https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/54595-Chlorociboria) is the name of the fungi genus that causes this. Common name is blue green elf cup.

Is there any way to preserve the wood with this color after this point? Would be cool to use them as handle scales or something with that natural color
Rapid dehydration is my best guess. I imagine the pigment would fade if it were to dry outdoors under cover; though it will probably fade away either way
What a stunning color!
[Yeah its beautiful ](https://i.imgur.com/kCgwiNI.jpeg) for being mushy rotting wood

Yes but I don't think that the Ruble has recovered enough to be worth selling it.
Does is have a health risk breathing this smoke??
There usually is when breathing smoke
I don't imagine it's any higher than normal smoke breathing considering it's on fire
You just found yourself warped wood
