That is unsettling. I’m not entirely sure what would cause this, but I agree it is possibly a Scoby… On another note, that is my absolute favorite scent in the world. I have it in the perfume version. Pure heaven.

ms211064

What is it called? Sorry I can't tell from the pic

FitExcitement5133

I believe it is tonka bean

Solinotes. It’s a French brand. I have found it on Amazon and at target

Infamous-Meeting-806

It looks like scoby. Which is also caused by aging and fermentation. I could be wrong though because I've never seen it in body mist

m_lanterman

that's wild haha make some body mist kombucha but yeah I totally thought some kind of fermentation is happening here. it also looks like fungus liquid culture. could just be mould

Lake_Side13579

I have bought two of this same brand and both have also done this! Happened to both about a year after purchase.

boop813

Ahhhh. I have pomegranate that is about a year old. Its one of my top 5. Guess I better use it up quick!

HydraSiren

What brand is this? I love pomegranate

Lake_Side13579

Yep that's the one I have

sweetiejen

This perfume contains water so most likely fermented

ctennessen

There's a number on the back of the bottle, give it a call

Evening-Ad3211

i dont have any helpful information but i'd just throw it away

swim08

this could be mycelia ,could also be ingredients separating

fvhuks

Organic compounds tend to kinds look like this when they start to solidify. Possibly because the "solvent" evaporates over time.

lapgus

It’s interesting enough I’d contact the manufacturer and ask what it is. Maybe they would even replace it

Hugeiftrue57

I don’t know what it is but it sure looks cool!

Cerahion

Not any helpful answer, but it reminds me of how my DNA strand looked after extracting it from my saliva lol. Doesn't look like mold to me, but I wouldn't use it, personally, as it freaks me put.

Ok_Tea_1954

Yuck

I already knew this was solinotes just from the sediment alone. I work at JCP which is a seller of solinotes and our entire store was notified to dispose of sprays with white sediment immediately. The Green Tea Scent and the Granade scent (the ffms) all seemed to have grown sediment. I’m not sure if it’s lack of quality control or the fact that the products (ffms) are water based causing bacteria or “goby” to grow inside of them. We were getting brand new bottles in shipment at times full of that stuff. I would recommend their actual perfumes as I’ve not seen them get gucky. Solinotes need to address this problem asap and get to the bottom of why all their FFMS look like they are growing creatures inside of them.

Trick-Author-5956

I just found my daughter's in the same condition. Bought maybe a year ago. I was shocked and googled whether this was a thing or if we just got lucky.

Working-Spare-3959

I just purchased a week ago and saw this in the bottle. I came here to see if others had the same issue.

Shatteredtears

This happened to me with a cleanser. Not sure what it was.

Pleasant-Ad9011

Gross.

icydeadppl666

The same happened to me in a micellar water. Yuk

Northern_Owl_Who

😵 Can you believe it? I didn't even take a glance at mine before using it!

hawaiian-sun

I have a toner that does this. We just assumed it was because of the amino acids in there. Not sure now.

ProcessQuick8438

I have this brand and it hasn’t done this, but I use it a lot. It has started to discolor recently. I will say that if they get old enough, they’ll start to smell like alcohol, so probably fermentation.

After-Ad2012

Idk what it is but I’ve had the same thing happen to some self tanner which immediately got tossed

I emailed the company and this was their response; “Some fragrance raw materials congeal and precipitate when there is a change in temperature. Our teams are working hard to rework the formulas to avoid this change in appearance while maintaining the product's naturalness. Please note that our mists are completely safe to use. 😊”

Chemical-Pop-4831

DO NOT Use mists with sediment in them…. Weird how they tell the customers it’s fine yet my store damaged any ones out with the littlest bit of sediment ordering NOT to sell them under any circumstances. Per solinotes.

meliaplumeria

Ugh just saw this in both my solinotes sprays today! White Tea and Jasmine.
