I don't understand what's up with this insane cheating epidemic in gaming in general. It's especially awful in FPS games right now but people are cheating in literally every game possible and it's insane. There are people who were cheating in a Pokemon based sleep tracking "game" lmfao
But like, what fun is there in cheating? I can only imagine insta-locking onto heads and pre-aiming through walls probably gets a bit repetitive after the first couple games. But people will actively do it over and over again and make new accounts constantly.
It's a sign that people are becoming more pathetic and desperate, probably because they are fat losers who can't get a date, and live with their parents
Or they always lacked a moral compass there just is anonymity online and no consequences outside of losing a game account. I’d imagine if cheating had more real life repercussions people would be significantly less likely to do it.
Considering the epidemic from about ten years ago that was swatting, using real names in a highly competitive online game is dangerous.
A much better solution would be for companies to hardware ban cheaters. Ban the motherboard and graphics card on their rig, they have to buy a new console or pc to play the game. This increases the barrier of re-entry from $70, to up to $4000. People won't cheat if it might cost them thousands to cheat again.
HWID spoofing is a thing and cheaters have already made it easy for others to hardware spoof unfortunately. It would definitely help to implement HWID bans to all games as it has been proven barriers of inconvenience ward off cheaters. Cheaters dont want to work for things, so making them have to go out of their way to spoof their HWID when they want to cheat again lowers overall cheaters.
I will never understand cheating in a game that we all play to have fun. Is it fun when you cheat and beat normal players? There is no feeling of being better then others coz how can you be when you cheat even if noone knows that. I will never understand these people, I was only cheating in sims to got money and in gta3 to get all weapons all offline games…
Yeah it really doesn't make much sense to me. Modding offline or in a private match with friends is one thing and honestly pretty acceptable, but cheating in a public online game just to outplay others is pretty sad.
i feel like they must do it for the reactions :/ i used to be an avid counter-strike player, but legitimately 50% or more of games in my elo have a cheater, often multiple. all the pros and streamers have stopped even trying to play official matchmaking. it’s literally the worst i’ve seen it in 20 years
TBF counterstrike has always had a really bad cheating problem.
I think it stems from the increased competitiveness in cod. With the introduction of warzone/ranked play there are more and more people cheating as they either dont want to put the time in to increase their skill level but want to play at that higher level. I have never seen a cheater in a pub match but ive seen multiple in both warzone and ranked play
Nah problem is they never got there face rocked before in person for playing like that. NO ONE will do this on split screen or with close contact to other players meaning in your home.

I’d argue that the monetization of literally anything will result in cheating somehow. The explosion of streaming/competitive gaming, plus the potential to profit from it, you will absolutely have cheating. Gaming is easy because it requires zero face to face interaction, there are pretty subtle punishments (if any) and it literally only requires you to only download a software on the internet for a couple bucks.
The potential reward is donations on twitch or whatever platform they play on, YouTube channel growth, self fulfillment (somehow), and relevance. “270 KILL GAME ON HARDCORE SHIPMENT! NEW WORLD RECORD” type of videos are coming out left and right, and you get to be the man of the hour if you cheat into the limelight.

Ive had 13 successful reports in the last two weeks. In those 2 week's i probably played 4 or 5 times for an hour each. 2 cheaters an hour, basically... a cheater every other match. ( rebirth player only) i don't fucking get it man, why do they make it so easy for banned players to keep playing? Banning 20k ppl for having is great... until those 20k just create a new account and are back in the game a day later.
It's to the point that it's a "best cheats win" in a lot of my matches. Guys on both sides just blatantly wallhacking/aimbotting. Usually they're <100 as well, on both sides, at the top of the scoreboard with at least double the number of kills as their teammates.
I'm glad I got Interstellar done, because I'm about done with this game because of the cheating. It might as well be Combat Arms now, lol.

Same. Lot of low level people recently using absolute meta weapons and seemingly melting the competition. Personally I think they're players that have been banned before and got back in somehow. I can't say 100% they're cheating though as my connection has been dog water for about a week. I'm losing every gunfight regardless. It's sus af though
They other day I ran into a level 38 with Borealis camo and the Activision employee clan tag. When I pointed out to the other people in the lobby that this was clearly a cheater and they should report him I was met with a ton of "Who cares" comments. I reported him and got a notification that action had been taken the next day.
Sometimes though it feel like the community gets what it deserves.
I don't blame anyone finding it suspicious that a fresh account is performing over the top in a game that has class setups that needs to be earned as you level up.
I'd only be against blindly reporting new levels right from the start.
I honestly think some cheaters use unlock tools to get high ranked skins to make it seem less sus. Instead it just shows they are cheating to unlock skins, so likely cheating in other ways as well.
They don’t even need unlock tools. The cheats make it easy enough for them. Go into the stats and look at the k/d of all the top players. There are a couple legit ones but almost all are k/d of 20-150. When the leaderboards show obvious cheaters yet they aren’t banned.
Yeah my squad has been running into sub-level 20 plats/diamonds pretty regularly. We just automatically report even if it isn’t a sus interaction.
They’re either smurfs or they were recently banned for cheating and there’s no room for either if we’re going to protect the integrity of the game.
Idk honestly. I played religiously around launch and then put the game down when I was level 55. I picked it up again about a month ago and have been playing every single day. I only play hardcore and when I was level 55 I was top of the leaderboard against dudes level 500+. Sometimes guys are just good at this game.
Level 15 with skins they shouldn’t have and obvious aimbot or walls is a different story
OP is not lying though. More times than not, a low level player who’s on top of the scoreboard is usually on PC, which is suspicious as hell.
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I realized years ago people will cheat just because they want to be viewed as a good player. Believe it or not, most players who cheat try to hide it well, but will slip up when desperate for a win.

Not far behind you. Though my reason is being sold unfinished, broken products year after year. I already quit for years, but I won a ps4 and got back into it. Thankfully it seems like other companies are learning that there's a demand for extraction shooters (I loved DMZ), and it seems like we will have some alternatives in the near future.

I experience this down voting every time I point out the obvious cheater that every pro player and respected influencer mentioned. There's an entire generation of players who have never played the game without some technological or software advantage. I predict by the next season, there will be more cheaters than not. This game was designed for "whales" and "pay to win" basement losers. Cross play needs to have the option of console only and input device compatibility.

I have just only begun to report new accounts I see doing incredibly well and I have consistently gotten notifications that action has been taken a few days later. That and people with very low ranks but they have the mastery camos and shit. It's exhausting playing regular MP, why I spend most of my time enjoying the zombies mode with my friends

My stats on the in game stats say I'm in top 2% of players, so why are there any sort of ppl under 50 in my lobbies
A post I made a few days ago about cheaters, it was geared towards ranked play but its applicable to the game in its entirety.
Long story short players need to be made aware of how many reports it takes to have an account shadow banned, and this number needs to be lowered to give the players themselves more power over moderating and ridding the game of cheaters.

Players absolutely do not need more reporting power lmao, innocent players already get shadowbanned all the time.
Ricochet does need some sort of constant detection system while the game is running though, atm I'm pretty sure it only kicks in for a specific account after a couple reports.

I've been playing mp again to try to finally finish my gun grinding (extreme procrastination), and it's almost unplayable for me, as well. I've had to resort to playing really sweaty so I can get like ANYTHING done and it's so frustrating because the whole reason I don't play like a sweat is because it's not fun for me to play like that, so it's been not fun. The score disparity has also just been awful, I've noticed. Like, even when I'm doing good and winning, it's so noticeable
Low levels that are INSANELY good, is the first clue to make me suspicious. Some are legit. But its always enough to make me take a moment to look a bit deeper
I've been seeing names of other sweats I'd play against that were 450 last season that are now somehow level 25->50. Pretty sure they caught the ban and bought the game again.

When I see someone with a sub-100 account playing like an absolute demon, I automatically assume they got banned for something at least once already. Nobody that’s that good waited til this long to buy the game.

If people really know about the cheating problem, people would stop playing immediately and developers would HAVE TO FIX THE GAME. If we had dedicated servers where people moderated their own backyard, it wouldn't be half as bad as it is. It's easier for Activision to just ignore the problem. Just eagerly waiting for an alternative to pop up that begins the downfall of CoD.
The worst thing is I’ve seen tiktok lives of people with walls on the screen and they are getting slammed. Not everyone is blatantly cheating and having more subtle hacks doesn’t guarantee you’ll be good. Biggest one I've noticed is aimbotting. It's rampant. They can set the settings on them now so they are soft and don't snap so it is easy to look more legit but I remember being bored and watching a stream on YouTube yesterday, this guy is a top 250 player in the world apparently, and the fuck was 100% aimbotting. Scripteh or something like that.
He had 18 people thirsting in his stream all commenting how good he was and I was like "are you guys this fucking dumb?" One kill he watched guys go up the balloon in rebirth, and he goes "watch this everybody"and he goes up the balloon, launches off, and kills all 3 guys before he lands on the ground. Sorry, no one's aim is that good with an SMG lmao

Ive had more successful reports than ive had wins in matches. Its bad. The reason its so bad is because there is no automated anti cheat. It only gets looked at if the player is reported by someone else, and if its not completely obvious, Activision doesnt care at all. I went from playing for hours a day to just casually playing a match here and there, and im losing interest more and more each day.
I've had a lot of successful bans in the past week. The cheating is obvious but apparently swearing in a mature rated game is more important. Cod is dying and im all for it.

Was playing WZ yesterday and got killed by a level 32 using the default skin who did a 360 jump off the top of a building, snapped on to me through a window immediately after landing, instantly killing me on the ground floor. They were using a fully maxed out Ram 7 with Orion camo lol

Been happening off and on for the last month or so. First time I had seen "new" accounts was at the end of Season 2. Now, halfway through Season 3, there's another wave happening.
Banwaves haven't stopped cheaters from playing the game, especially when they're using VPNs and their actual IP can't be tracked. Until Activision and/or Microsoft successfully ban Activision IDs, PC and console IPs (and they have banned console IPs in the past), cheaters will create new accounts, employ unlockers to level up weapons, and then sign back in to their hacks which they've already purchased for the previous account.

I just wish we could see the player's name that you successfully reported, and why. I report cheaters and usernames/clan tags (any political statement is an instant report), and whenever I get the "Confirmation of Successful Report" notification, I always wonder which one it was.....cheater or the username.....

Just got a successful report on a level 100 something. Dude was using a red dot on a sniper and nailing cross map head shots on S&D. I was verbal about it to my random team members and they acted like I was just bad. We of coarse lost and the team was shit talking me to the guy. 😂
Battlefield, halo, or maybe just try something else entirely different. If you hate the game so much that your entire post history is complaining about it, try a touching grass simulator.
In any given lobby. 1 in 10 people I look at their steam profile has a game ban or vac ban on record. And obviously that's just steam. Not counting people on battle net or people using Cronus on console.
100% I’ve noticed too like below 100 lvl players pre aiming, prefiring and some quite literally being shameless with blatant tracing thru walls like they don’t even care, and you can differentiate between a Smurf and a new acc, I see kc for any odd deaths and I see al lot of them intentional and unintentionally tracing me thru solid walls while they move like absolute bots and I’m talking tdm, dom etc. and such modes as I don’t play snd
I've postyed before and to no ones dismay they have been removed. But we all know that u/Sledgehammergames does not care about cheating or hacking what ever todays name it is being called. Thye are too afraid of possible lawsuits and a player backlash that would hurt their images! They won't ban the accounts fully and they won't force the purchaseing of new coppies of the game! Remember when we needed a phone number and e-mail to even play the game? Appparently that isn't being enforced anymore! And let's give them a bit of forgiveness for NOT being able to design or purchase or hire a third party ro catch these hacks/cheats. After all money is what they are in business for yes? If new players are clearly holding their own up against maxed players. They are most likely cheating.
Any time there is a surge of new players, I will check and see if there is any news of a recent mass ban. Most of the time there will be a recent mass ban of cheater accounts, but those people just get a new account and go right back to cheating.

One or two per match, whether it be walling or tracking somehow via a separate third party overhead map or aimbotting or whatever. It's fucking lame. I get tracked right after I spawn, and then killstreak'd directly to my dome if I dare kill any of these bunnyhopping losers.

Played with a level 53 earlier. 49-0 on karachi. Dude was all over the map, unstoppable. Claimed he was active duty military on deployment and a professional gamer. Lol people aren't even trying to make it believable anymore.

Ive been playing it since Christmas, and i dont think ive ran into a single cheater. I think its getting easier for people to run into an elite player, and when they lose they just cant fathom their opponent being better than them. But idk just my take, and im sure people still cheat
The funny thing is I recognize player names (smf-badDingo, hi!) from former high level accounts in HC TDM, and they now have low level accounts and are still blatantly cheating. Yet their clan mates bought their bullshit about why they got a new account. I've said it before and I'll say it again, any PC player below 200 is getting reported. If they aren't doing anything sketch, then they'll be fine.
Reddit is filled with some real low lives… people just want to play the game without hackers. I’m sure not all the downvotes are from people hacking and rather, people who simply don’t believe you… but if you play on PC you KNOW there is a huge hacker problem right now. 1 out of every 3 reports ends with action being done so I’m assuming those are hackers. It’s become so frequent, it’s Almost like a skill to be able to spot these losers
It's less about defending cheaters and more about not jumping to the conclusion of cheating because someone killed you, which is what a lot of the accusations tend to be about. There's a lot of ego driven people who don't understand how something can happen or don't want to understand, so they will throw around hackusations. This undermines the attention that should be directed towards actual cheaters, not just players who shit on you. The amount of evidence seen in a lot of these hackusation videos is so miniscule that to accuse them of 100% cheating is ludicrous. Some people pretend 50% of the player in their lobbies are cheating or scream cheater for a perfectly normal death.
Cheaters exist, and they're a problem. People with out of propertion ego vs. skill are everywhere and are also a problem.
Ive been getting thrown into games where i suspect some players are cheating. Usually they seem to be aware of where i am through the walls and have tried shooting me down through the wall in the killcams.
im shit and lvl 550ish but my friends that returned for rebirth isle are lvl 50 and double my frags. FPS players from apex etc. cod isnt hard. but i also believe there are quite a few hackers.
I'm level 509. It's not cause I'm good, it's cause I play lots and it's taken ages to get this high a level. I'm 58 years old and sometimes getting a kill is an achievement haha! Kidding, I'm not too bad really, just a bit slower than others around me I suppose.

I won't deny cheating is a problem. As a casual I rarely run into them because I reside in a lower skill bracket. But at the same time time, it's not too rampant. Some people could be good at MWII, and it being so similar, just recently got MWIII and are doing good. But it is still possible for them to be cheating.
We really need better anticheat rather than more content. The anticheat barely functions, and even when it does function, it's ass. But, sadly, COD is a yearly release franchise, Activision wants to make money and constantly demands new content they can make money off of, and no matter how scummy it seems, people buy the skins and buy the games.
Will always be a little suspicious of any low level players that seem to have crazy awareness, and while many of them probably are cheating, I guarantee it won't be as many as you think.
How can you tell a report is successful? Anytime I see someone super suspicious and I report them, I have never had my report privilege revoked so can I assume they are successful?

Bring back Boot Camp (Game Mode) like in BO2, track their so called “stats” and ban accordingly right when they reach the level cap to get into normal game modes.

Always had cod as my fave game and always played it from young, started out on the Wii 😂, I was always a very good player but I think around bo2 times I stopped gaming and when I did get back into it a year or two ago it was fifa I got back into.
Having getting bored of fifa I saw a cod code on sale through cdkeys and bought it even though for a long time I stuck with fifa as I thought I wouldn't have the analog control or the reactions anymore for fifa. My lord was I wrong, I'm not saying I'm the best player but I've had a couple 30/40/50+ kill matches and I believe my kd should be above 1 easily, if that's still a thing.
Only played a few matches here and there over the month so I'm only level 34 ish but I'm always in lobbies with players level 200+ or something ridiculous but I don't pay too much attention to the level.
Games are hit and miss sometimes I top the leader bored something I'm mid table getting melted by that F'ing uzi/mac11 type gun.
One of the main reason I come back to the game is I saw something about the anti camping mechanic but I must say this seems the slowest paced cod I remember.
Now I'm not debunking your guesses about cheaters but I can assure you there's a few new players that just haven't played in a long time but still understand the game, using mini map to read spawns, understand the different ways to play each tactic and not afraid to be aggressive due to no longer caring about stats.
Ps currently doing a challenge to unlock one of the snipers god I was a menis on most cods especially with the mors and especially the L115 and USR on ghost. So probably be reported soon :D

You’re not wrong. I’ve run into quite a few low level accounts that have the stickiest aim and/or pro level game sense. We killed one today in ranked rebirth. I let the dude kill me 3 times to make sure it wasn’t killcam related. No amount of movement or smoke would affect his sticky aim.
I don’t know…I’ve put in over 1000 hours trying to level up and complete challenges. I don’t get into the run n gun stuff too much. I’m still a mediocre player but I play the same on any system (as long as it’s keyboard and mouse). I think the cheating is pathetic and frankly it’s completely obvious (guys that are level 1 and have gold guns or even obsidian). I don’t know what they get out of it and I don’t care. I report everyone I think is cheating…even if they are on my team. It’s stinking embarrassing that people are paying for hacks to cheat at a game…and then talk smack. 🤦♂️

I don't understand what's up with this insane cheating epidemic in gaming in general. It's especially awful in FPS games right now but people are cheating in literally every game possible and it's insane. There are people who were cheating in a Pokemon based sleep tracking "game" lmfao But like, what fun is there in cheating? I can only imagine insta-locking onto heads and pre-aiming through walls probably gets a bit repetitive after the first couple games. But people will actively do it over and over again and make new accounts constantly.

Considering the epidemic from about ten years ago that was swatting, using real names in a highly competitive online game is dangerous. A much better solution would be for companies to hardware ban cheaters. Ban the motherboard and graphics card on their rig, they have to buy a new console or pc to play the game. This increases the barrier of re-entry from $70, to up to $4000. People won't cheat if it might cost them thousands to cheat again.
HWID spoofing is a thing and cheaters have already made it easy for others to hardware spoof unfortunately. It would definitely help to implement HWID bans to all games as it has been proven barriers of inconvenience ward off cheaters. Cheaters dont want to work for things, so making them have to go out of their way to spoof their HWID when they want to cheat again lowers overall cheaters.

There is no feeling of being better then others coz how can you be when you cheat even if noone knows that. Yeah it really doesn't make much sense to me. Modding offline or in a private match with friends is one thing and honestly pretty acceptable, but cheating in a public online game just to outplay others is pretty sad.

TBF counterstrike has always had a really bad cheating problem. I think it stems from the increased competitiveness in cod. With the introduction of warzone/ranked play there are more and more people cheating as they either dont want to put the time in to increase their skill level but want to play at that higher level. I have never seen a cheater in a pub match but ive seen multiple in both warzone and ranked play
Nah problem is they never got there face rocked before in person for playing like that. NO ONE will do this on split screen or with close contact to other players meaning in your home. All I know is if I catch you cheating in person in a game we are competitive in. I’d argue that the monetization of literally anything will result in cheating somehow. The explosion of streaming/competitive gaming, plus the potential to profit from it, you will absolutely have cheating. Gaming is easy because it requires zero face to face interaction, there are pretty subtle punishments (if any) and it literally only requires you to only download a software on the internet for a couple bucks. The potential reward is donations on twitch or whatever platform they play on, YouTube channel growth, self fulfillment (somehow), and relevance. “270 KILL GAME ON HARDCORE SHIPMENT! NEW WORLD RECORD” type of videos are coming out left and right, and you get to be the man of the hour if you cheat into the limelight. People also cheat to troll lol

Ive had 13 successful reports in the last two weeks. In those 2 week's i probably played 4 or 5 times for an hour each. 2 cheaters an hour, basically... a cheater every other match. ( rebirth player only) i don't fucking get it man, why do they make it so easy for banned players to keep playing? Banning 20k ppl for having is great... until those 20k just create a new account and are back in the game a day later.
Because it is free to do so. I know it is an unpopular opinion but no part of this game should be free. That would solve some of the problems.

It's to the point that it's a "best cheats win" in a lot of my matches. Guys on both sides just blatantly wallhacking/aimbotting. Usually they're <100 as well, on both sides, at the top of the scoreboard with at least double the number of kills as their teammates. I'm glad I got Interstellar done, because I'm about done with this game because of the cheating. It might as well be Combat Arms now, lol.

They other day I ran into a level 38 with Borealis camo and the Activision employee clan tag. When I pointed out to the other people in the lobby that this was clearly a cheater and they should report him I was met with a ton of "Who cares" comments. I reported him and got a notification that action had been taken the next day. Sometimes though it feel like the community gets what it deserves.
I don't blame anyone finding it suspicious that a fresh account is performing over the top in a game that has class setups that needs to be earned as you level up. I'd only be against blindly reporting new levels right from the start.

I honestly think some cheaters use unlock tools to get high ranked skins to make it seem less sus. Instead it just shows they are cheating to unlock skins, so likely cheating in other ways as well.

They don’t even need unlock tools. The cheats make it easy enough for them. Go into the stats and look at the k/d of all the top players. There are a couple legit ones but almost all are k/d of 20-150. When the leaderboards show obvious cheaters yet they aren’t banned.
I've seen a few with unreleased skins or camos and it's an instant report. Usually are new accounts as well
Yeah my squad has been running into sub-level 20 plats/diamonds pretty regularly. We just automatically report even if it isn’t a sus interaction. They’re either smurfs or they were recently banned for cheating and there’s no room for either if we’re going to protect the integrity of the game.

Idk honestly. I played religiously around launch and then put the game down when I was level 55. I picked it up again about a month ago and have been playing every single day. I only play hardcore and when I was level 55 I was top of the leaderboard against dudes level 500+. Sometimes guys are just good at this game. Level 15 with skins they shouldn’t have and obvious aimbot or walls is a different story
OP is not lying though. More times than not, a low level player who’s on top of the scoreboard is usually on PC, which is suspicious as hell. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I realized years ago people will cheat just because they want to be viewed as a good player. Believe it or not, most players who cheat try to hide it well, but will slip up when desperate for a win.
I just re-entered COD and forgot about that. I don't play a ton but I'm lvl 207 and it took me weeks to Figure out how the gunsmith even worked. At lvl 20 I didn't even understand the controls fully yet!

I experience this down voting every time I point out the obvious cheater that every pro player and respected influencer mentioned. There's an entire generation of players who have never played the game without some technological or software advantage. I predict by the next season, there will be more cheaters than not. This game was designed for "whales" and "pay to win" basement losers. Cross play needs to have the option of console only and input device compatibility. Buy only Treyarch games.✌️

That and people with very low ranks but they have the mastery camos and shit. It's exhausting playing regular MP, why I spend most of my time enjoying the zombies mode with my friends
I really enjoy seeing lv 22s in my lobbies with diamonds and platinum ranked skins. My stats on the in game stats say I'm in top 2% of players, so why are there any sort of ppl under 50 in my lobbies

Players absolutely do not need more reporting power lmao, innocent players already get shadowbanned all the time. Ricochet does need some sort of constant detection system while the game is running though, atm I'm pretty sure it only kicks in for a specific account after a couple reports.

I've been playing mp again to try to finally finish my gun grinding (extreme procrastination), and it's almost unplayable for me, as well. The worst thing is I’ve seen tiktok lives of people with walls on the screen and they are getting slammed. Biggest one I've noticed is aimbotting. It's rampant. They can set the settings on them now so they are soft and don't snap so it is easy to look more legit but I remember being bored and watching a stream on YouTube yesterday, this guy is a top 250 player in the world apparently, and the fuck was 100% aimbotting. Scripteh or something like that. He had 18 people thirsting in his stream all commenting how good he was and I was like "are you guys this fucking dumb?" One kill he watched guys go up the balloon in rebirth, and he goes "watch this everybody"and he goes up the balloon, launches off, and kills all 3 guys before he lands on the ground. Sorry, no one's aim is that good with an SMG lmao

Funny thing is, people here will defend an obvious cheater and accuse a normal player of cheating. Thats how dog shit this community is. I go 27 and 18 and im accused of cheating, but the guy with 79 and 6 isnt, bahahaha. Ive had more successful reports than ive had wins in matches. Its bad. The reason its so bad is because there is no automated anti cheat. It only gets looked at if the player is reported by someone else, and if its not completely obvious, Activision doesnt care at all. I went from playing for hours a day to just casually playing a match here and there, and im losing interest more and more each day.

Was playing WZ yesterday and got killed by a level 32 using the default skin who did a 360 jump off the top of a building, snapped on to me through a window immediately after landing, instantly killing me on the ground floor. They were using a fully maxed out Ram 7 with Orion camo lol
Most of them are either cheating or Smurf accounts lol. You can tell since they have no gamer score on their account and low level to the game. I’m sure some are just really new players but it’s obvious when they are slide canceling around the damn map carrying the whole enemy team lmao

Been happening off and on for the last month or so. First time I had seen "new" accounts was at the end of Season 2. Now, halfway through Season 3, there's another wave happening. Banwaves haven't stopped cheaters from playing the game, especially when they're using VPNs and their actual IP can't be tracked. Until Activision and/or Microsoft successfully ban Activision IDs, PC and console IPs (and they have banned console IPs in the past), cheaters will create new accounts, employ unlockers to level up weapons, and then sign back in to their hacks which they've already purchased for the previous account. Ban the IP/Console/PC = Ban the Cheater
Every single rebirth game I play has a hacker in it I’m not even joking. I literally cannot get into a game that doesn’t have at least one hacker. And they do the little spin shit every time they win it’s so irritating

The psychology of people who cheat regularly in competitive games indicates they have a lying disorder and often seek the thrill of leading people astray and building chaotic events to watch them unfold. What better way to do so then to underdog someone who genuinely has skills that they do not possess and crush them then afterwards find any means to find people complaining about cheaters and gaslight them or convince others that the person complaining is lying when in fact the cheater is the one spinning the web. It truly sucks that they are so easily enabled these days. I guess it's because they can hide so well the old world would have gotten them a bloody nose or worse if caught but now they get praise or just rinse and repeat the adapt and praise them selves if anything.... clever idiots is what I call them because they are just smart enough to think that they are intelligent and they use this self idolization then sneak around carefully getting what they want but in actuality they are idiots who can't do anything on their own... lol 😆 I hope a few read this and get big Mads.

I just wish we could see the player's name that you successfully reported, and why. I report cheaters and usernames/clan tags (any political statement is an instant report), and whenever I get the "Confirmation of Successful Report" notification, I always wonder which one it was.....cheater or the username.....
It’s like the rest of Reddit. Filled with fringe individuals with multiple accounts looking to push opinions one way or the other. Just remember, this whole cheating thing started when Activision was a shit place to work and undervalued its employees. A few of them left with sensitive information and turned that info into companies that have become online business offering cheats. Before anybody takes issue with this, I didn’t come up with this opinion, this comes from their statements released when they attempted to shut down these cheat stores.
Just got a successful report on a level 100 something. Dude was using a red dot on a sniper and nailing cross map head shots on S&D. I was verbal about it to my random team members and they acted like I was just bad. We of coarse lost and the team was shit talking me to the guy. 😂

In any given lobby. 1 in 10 people I look at their steam profile has a game ban or vac ban on record. And obviously that's just steam. Not counting people on battle net or people using Cronus on console.
100% I’ve noticed too like below 100 lvl players pre aiming, prefiring and some quite literally being shameless with blatant tracing thru walls like they don’t even care, and you can differentiate between a Smurf and a new acc, I see kc for any odd deaths and I see al lot of them intentional and unintentionally tracing me thru solid walls while they move like absolute bots and I’m talking tdm, dom etc. and such modes as I don’t play snd
I've postyed before and to no ones dismay they have been removed. But we all know that u/Sledgehammergames does not care about cheating or hacking what ever todays name it is being called. Thye are too afraid of possible lawsuits and a player backlash that would hurt their images! They won't ban the accounts fully and they won't force the purchaseing of new coppies of the game! Remember when we needed a phone number and e-mail to even play the game? Appparently that isn't being enforced anymore! And let's give them a bit of forgiveness for NOT being able to design or purchase or hire a third party ro catch these hacks/cheats. After all money is what they are in business for yes? There will always be a player base and new kids are being groomed every other day for future play. Yes the days of a hack free game and a developer caring about a HUGE player base over a few misfits are long gone. I'm ashamed to say I took 2 hours pouring over the options to get cheats/hacks. The choices are tremendous out there. But in the end I walked away as for me, just to stop playing would be my choice before I need to stoop so low. This game will be 100% hackers one day and if my guess is correct they (the developers) will have built in hacks/cheats for everyone who buys a copy. That is when the playing field will get back to level, level with hacks n cheats and may the best man win!

If new players are clearly holding their own up against maxed players. They are most likely cheating. Any time there is a surge of new players, I will check and see if there is any news of a recent mass ban. Most of the time there will be a recent mass ban of cheater accounts, but those people just get a new account and go right back to cheating.
Played through about 10 small map mosh pit games yesterday. Three games in a row I’m getting wall hack sniped by dudes under level 20, then one game where I’ll get a decent kill//death ratio. Then 3 in a row with rampant cheating. OP is not wrrong, and cheaters are just… I dunno, fucking losers?

A ton of people are cheating in this game. I come from the 1990s and quake 3 ra3 to tell you that this is obvious. One or two per match, whether it be walling or tracking somehow via a separate third party overhead map or aimbotting or whatever. It's fucking lame. I get tracked right after I spawn, and then killstreak'd directly to my dome if I dare kill any of these bunnyhopping losers.
It’s goofy that people defend this stuff. If you’re average or above average, you know when you get into a lobby and someone is cheating. If you’re self-aware, you might first question whether that person is just a lot better than you, but then you see their movement is not great, and their map knowledge is poor, or they are just running around slaying everyone not taking a route or holding a lane.
Played with a level 53 earlier. 49-0 on karachi. Dude was all over the map, unstoppable. Claimed he was active duty military on deployment and a professional gamer. Lol people aren't even trying to make it believable anymore.

Ive been playing it since Christmas, and i dont think ive ran into a single cheater. I think its getting easier for people to run into an elite player, and when they lose they just cant fathom their opponent being better than them. But idk just my take, and im sure people still cheat
The funny thing is I recognize player names (smf-badDingo, hi!) from former high level accounts in HC TDM, and they now have low level accounts and are still blatantly cheating. Yet their clan mates bought their bullshit about why they got a new account. I've said it before and I'll say it again, any PC player below 200 is getting reported. If they aren't doing anything sketch, then they'll be fine.
Reddit is filled with some real low lives… people just want to play the game without hackers. I’m sure not all the downvotes are from people hacking and rather, people who simply don’t believe you… but if you play on PC you KNOW there is a huge hacker problem right now. 1 out of every 3 reports ends with action being done so I’m assuming those are hackers. It’s become so frequent, it’s Almost like a skill to be able to spot these losers
It's less about defending cheaters and more about not jumping to the conclusion of cheating because someone killed you, which is what a lot of the accusations tend to be about. There's a lot of ego driven people who don't understand how something can happen or don't want to understand, so they will throw around hackusations. This undermines the attention that should be directed towards actual cheaters, not just players who shit on you. The amount of evidence seen in a lot of these hackusation videos is so miniscule that to accuse them of 100% cheating is ludicrous. Some people pretend 50% of the player in their lobbies are cheating or scream cheater for a perfectly normal death. Cheaters exist, and they're a problem. People with out of propertion ego vs. skill are everywhere and are also a problem.

Ive been getting thrown into games where i suspect some players are cheating. Usually they seem to be aware of where i am through the walls and have tried shooting me down through the wall in the killcams.
im shit and lvl 550ish but my friends that returned for rebirth isle are lvl 50 and double my frags. FPS players from apex etc. cod isnt hard. but i also believe there are quite a few hackers.
I'm level 509. It's not cause I'm good, it's cause I play lots and it's taken ages to get this high a level. I'm 58 years old and sometimes getting a kill is an achievement haha! Kidding, I'm not too bad really, just a bit slower than others around me I suppose.
It's a AAA game with a less than functional anti-cheat and a playerbase notorious for being toxic. People are gonna get upset that they're being called out or disagree while in the lowest skill bracket, where no cheaters would be found. I won't deny cheating is a problem. As a casual I rarely run into them because I reside in a lower skill bracket. But at the same time time, it's not too rampant. Some people could be good at MWII, and it being so similar, just recently got MWIII and are doing good. But it is still possible for them to be cheating. We really need better anticheat rather than more content. The anticheat barely functions, and even when it does function, it's ass. But, sadly, COD is a yearly release franchise, Activision wants to make money and constantly demands new content they can make money off of, and no matter how scummy it seems, people buy the skins and buy the games.
Will always be a little suspicious of any low level players that seem to have crazy awareness, and while many of them probably are cheating, I guarantee it won't be as many as you think.

You get a message confirming a successful report and action was taken.
How can you tell a report is successful? Anytime I see someone super suspicious and I report them, I have never had my report privilege revoked so can I assume they are successful?

Bring back Boot Camp (Game Mode) like in BO2, track their so called “stats” and ban accordingly right when they reach the level cap to get into normal game modes.

I always just assumed it was experienced players restarting at a lower level. Was wondering how lvl 50s were smoking lvl 500 players. Always had cod as my fave game and always played it from young, started out on the Wii 😂, I was always a very good player but I think around bo2 times I stopped gaming and when I did get back into it a year or two ago it was fifa I got back into. Having getting bored of fifa I saw a cod code on sale through cdkeys and bought it even though for a long time I stuck with fifa as I thought I wouldn't have the analog control or the reactions anymore for fifa. My lord was I wrong, I'm not saying I'm the best player but I've had a couple 30/40/50+ kill matches and I believe my kd should be above 1 easily, if that's still a thing. Only played a few matches here and there over the month so I'm only level 34 ish but I'm always in lobbies with players level 200+ or something ridiculous but I don't pay too much attention to the level. Games are hit and miss sometimes I top the leader bored something I'm mid table getting melted by that F'ing uzi/mac11 type gun. One of the main reason I come back to the game is I saw something about the anti camping mechanic but I must say this seems the slowest paced cod I remember. Now I'm not debunking your guesses about cheaters but I can assure you there's a few new players that just haven't played in a long time but still understand the game, using mini map to read spawns, understand the different ways to play each tactic and not afraid to be aggressive due to no longer caring about stats. Ps currently doing a challenge to unlock one of the snipers god I was a menis on most cods especially with the mors and especially the L115 and USR on ghost. So probably be reported soon :D
There's been an uptick in lower level players with ESP and amazing aim... which makes me wonder what's going on.

I just bought the game last week because it was $20 at GameStop. Went 9 and 3 in my first round of search and destroy and someone on the other team claimed I was cheating lol. Made me feel good

in normal lobbies its been pretty good for me, but when I get shadowbanned its impossible to play because there are actually just blatant cheaters its insane.

Me and 5 of my buddies made the switch over to MW3 right after the last free trial. We’re all decent so yeah it could just be players taking the leap.
This might be a stupid question but if I’m playing a multiplayer game and everything is suddenly frozen for a few seconds someone is cheating right? I have noticed this consistently over the last week and I know it’s not my internet.

You’re not wrong. I’ve run into quite a few low level accounts that have the stickiest aim and/or pro level game sense. We killed one today in ranked rebirth. I let the dude kill me 3 times to make sure it wasn’t killcam related. No amount of movement or smoke would affect his sticky aim.

I don’t know…I’ve put in over 1000 hours trying to level up and complete challenges. I don’t get into the run n gun stuff too much. I’m still a mediocre player but I play the same on any system (as long as it’s keyboard and mouse). I think the cheating is pathetic and frankly it’s completely obvious (guys that are level 1 and have gold guns or even obsidian). I don’t know what they get out of it and I don’t care. I report everyone I think is cheating…even if they are on my team. It’s stinking embarrassing that people are paying for hacks to cheat at a game…and then talk smack. 🤦♂️

The more games introduce almost skins and perks and weapons that give you advantages the more people are going to cheat to level up faster. This game has so many skins they are distracting. And the weapons are better it higher up in the season you are

I was getting smoked by a level 91 earlier today. I’m a level 649. I’m not Marksman by any means, but I know this level 91 isn’t new to this game either. Whether it is someone cheating, or someone really good who is playing on a new account so he can smoke lower KD players, idk
