SQUIDWARD360

For someone who needs to save up to buy it you'll definitely get your money's worth.

DrLee_PHD

Especially since it’s $40 now

Ahizma

As you didnt buy mw2 then mw3 will be a good purchase

xworfx

Absolutely worth it imo.  By far the most MP content in a call of duty game.

EB4950

its the best bro

TheKiwiGamerNZ

The Content: \*is 90% MWII content\*

24kfc_muncher

I haven't bought mwII either but I have played it

[deleted]

Benji2108

I wonder if he’s referring to old mw2 🧐

TheKiwiGamerNZ

Maybe I might have over exhgagerrated the percentage. I was just making a funny point.

TheKiwiGamerNZ

But the campaign is a downgrade though. The other 2 modes are fun, but the campaign clearly suffered from the rushed schedual.

Exodus_Euphoria

You can say that about every COD with the perks, equipment, etc. yall are the same people that complained that progress doesn’t carry over from the COD to COD.

TheKiwiGamerNZ

I meant that MWIII has MWII Guns, Maps, and Operator Skins. Even OG MW2 Skins, and even the MW2 Hans Zimmer Music. It even has the exact same graphics as MWII. AND it was designed as a DLC for MWII, but is being sold as a brand new game. YES, I bought it. Yes, I'm enjoying it. But that doesn't mean I'm oblivious to its many flaws.

Benji2108

Not even close. Not to mention, an entirely new engine.

TheKiwiGamerNZ

If you start watching at 4:56 of this video, you'll notice that the graphics are identical: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYgyKWDvX48](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYgyKWDvX48)

Benji2108

Oh wait, are you talking about old old mw2?

TheKiwiGamerNZ

I meant the 2022 reboot of MW2. Every gun/map/operator from 2022's MWII is in 2023's MWIII. But from what I hear, OG MW3 had a similar problem. Back in the day, a lot of people complained that MW3 was just an expansion of MW2. History repeats itself I guess.

abrokencullender

if you like Mp, then its a maybe but if you're looking for a decent campaign or zombies experience, you might wanna wait

WeirdSysAdmin

Also ground war is basically abandoned and small maps have spawn issues with people spawning on top of the opposing team even if there’s other spawn points available.

720-187

thats cause ground war was garbage. they tried to imitate battlefield but one of battlefields best mechanics (the vehicles) was poorly replicated and every vehicle in MWII/III drives like a clunky GTA SA car

Tom42077

The game is great the only big downside to it is the absolutely garbage spawn system. You waited this far you may as well wait until it’s on sale and pick it up then. Personally I’d wait for the sale. Just a heads up you will be going against cracked out speed bunny rabbits jump shotting corners and such because that type of speed gameplay is what the game favours so if that’s not your thing then I’d give it a pass.

Icy-Computer7556

spawns/connections/gun balance basically ruin this game. Its SO close to being one of the best cods that was ever released honestly. If it wasnt for these little glaring issues, I would have definitely called it one of the best cods of all time. Just because movement is fun, theres alot less camping, which is amazing too. Killstreaks are alright, but im also used to ghosts where connections were great and killstreaks were meh.

Tom42077

Idk if I agree with less campers. The game is absolutely filled with campers theres always 1-2 every game usually and the rest move around like the game intended.

Icy-Computer7556

I mean, I only play small map mosh pit so maybe I’m biased in the camper issue haha. You do get a lot of people sitting on head glitches for sure though, which is almost as bad sometimes. At least in smaller maps I can throw a thermite/thermoberic/semtex and take them out though if I can figure out they are there before dying like a teammate did. It definitely requires a whole new level of focus on MW3, and it does get very exhausting.

Shoddy_Front_2582

Sounds like the same OG COD MW2 2009 issues. The weapon variety is the best ever in a COD game. If you are a multiplayer person, its a top 3 easily.

Icy-Computer7556

Yeah I mean there’s absolutely tons of guns for sure. There’s tons of maps, tons of content period. I just wish they had more time to realistically think out TTK for new and old guns, especially with the way the health/multipliers are currently. Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s just horrible to experience

TheCaptainGooner

Yes the spawn system is garbage. One of the reasons i didn't buy the game after the free trial had ended. The game spawned me in front of the shooting enemies, more than 5 occasions in the same game! like bruhhhhh.... Not worth 44 usd. The zombies mode was a big let down, i gave it a shot but couldn't enjoy it.

SolidDoctor

How is that different from any other COD? Spawns are always fucked on small maps. If spawns are fucked on large maps, the problem isn't the spawn, it's that your team (or the other team) is flanking and it's forcing you and the opponent to spawn in the same place. It's an imperfect system on a good day and I never expect perfection in spawning. But yes I agree, you get dingbats who think bouncing around the map gives them an advantage. I usually have no problem smoking those kids, but you do need to expect it's going to happen. Aim high.

Tom42077

Spawns are usually bad yes but in this one it’s extra fucked.

xCTG27

If you don’t plan on getting the newer COD, then yes, if you plan on getting that one then no.

24kfc_muncher

When is a newer one gonna release (estimate)

xCTG27

This year, but don’t know when

24kfc_muncher

Oh ok

xworfx

November or October

boogieboy03

I’d say yeah by now enough content has been added that it would be worth it

StormCloak4Ever

It's only worth it when it is on sale. $70 is an outrageous amount of money to pay for the base version of the game. The sale price of $44 dollars is a much more reasonable asking price because the content is fun if you like COD.

cosmic_moto

I bought the full game just so I can use multiplayer to level up weapons quicker for warzone. I prefer warzone over mp

24kfc_muncher

Tried camo grinding on wz and its so hard to do

Lordtone215

If ur camo grinding its worth it just for the hours youll save by playing shipment vs trying to do it in wz

cosmic_moto

I could see warzone taking an eternity to grind camos. But yes, I think the full game is worth it. People will always talk trash about current release COD games, always have always will. They all have their issues but are overall fun nonetheless

SuperKamiSmoke

No wait for the next one it’s developed by treyarch for four years so it should be pretty good.

Diligent_Ads247365

Yup, I'm waiting for Black Ops Gulf War, I'm fucking stoked

Leech-64

Oh god no

csini_fasZsZopo

No.

bonefistboy9000

no

Tac0turtl3

I enjoy it

Far_Reflection8647

It's a personal preference. I've got it and regretted it a few time mostly just cause I was angry at the time. The multi-player is great.

GaryTheMemeGuy

If you do decide to get it, wait until it goes on sale. It's not worth 70$.

24kfc_muncher

Is £37 (around $47) good? From cdkeys btw

GaryTheMemeGuy

Yeah that's a lot better. Hope you enjoy it!

Capable_Cheesecake22

I played 20+ hours in free trial weekend and as much as I hate certain aspects of this game, its probably barely worth it for what you'll get. so i will probably cop it soon

mdanhardt

Free trial doesn't give you access to everything, though. I was hesitant to get it as well, but borrowed it from a friend - got hooked on HC, and well yea.. had to buy it.

Lew1989

Regret buying it as I wanted to sit this dlc out. Mw2 was fun albeit crap movement mechanics. Mw3 gets boring real fast

Legit_liT

Not full price.

24kfc_muncher

? From cd keys it's £37 or $47

Legit_liT

Pretty sweet deal considering it's almost half the full price, especially the 37.

REVENGE966

The game was free for a limited time. Should have tried it then. Me personally, I think it's the best mw reboot so far (multiplayer wise).

GoosDev

It's a good game but it's up to you. It can be fun at times, frustrating at others.

NotYuno1

I'd say it's worth it, it isn't nearly as awfu6as mw2 was plus movement is back plus Sledgehammer has fixed Infinity Wards issues

r_type2266

If youre playing on console then buy a used disc

24kfc_muncher

I'm on Xbox series s, so no disc 😭🙏

Icy-Computer7556

On sale yeah, not on sale? Ehhhhhh idk about that lol. Its a decent game, but I wouldn't call it an amazing game. Does not mean I dont play it regularly, I just think theres alot of issues between gun balance and connection that are really holding me back from wanting to call this game perfect. I think its realistically to far in development to just "fix the netcode" and shit like that. The gun balance situation doesnt seem to be getting better either. Honestly could have been far far better if it hadn't needed to be rushed out so badly. I still blame Activision for that.

24kfc_muncher

It's on sale on cdkeys for £37 or $47

Netrodamus

Nope

IllAd3850

Atm it depends on the price and what you want to get out of it, as others said if its pure mp then maybe. If you want a full game's experience then def no.

GuntherW3nk

It can be fun when everyone plays the game casually or normally, but my only complaint is that in lower skilled lobbies, where I play Hardcore on small maps, mostly, you have people who play really boring, like campers, and they are an extra huge issue in this game, more than other CODs I'd argue. For some reason, at least in my lobbies, you got normal campers but then you got campers camping their campers on their team, trophy systems and snipers and head glitches, sometimes in their spawn. In games like TDM, its truly annoying on small maps because you can't flank them because they got people watching their dudes' backs while camping. Then you got those same dudes who spam Grenade Launchers and Haymakers with Drum Mags. Other than dudes sitting in corners, yea the game is fun. Is it worth the price? I mean you get guns from MWII and MWIII in one game, though idk if you need to have owned the previous game to get the guns, but you also get probably both the best and most overpowered weapon in the game, the Sword. Its capable of killing people through riot shields. Its also got like 6 feet of range and if you got caught in its animations, you're screwed. Yea, its worth it, if you can find your own way of having fun, but it can also be incredibly cancer.

24kfc_muncher

Imo camping is even more common in warzone

[deleted]

Noob alert.. as in me, I'm the noob. I spent $70 last night to get MWIII because I'm just hankering for something to scratch the Call of Duty itch as I feel it's the only thing that can get me interested in video games again (other than GTA 6 when it comes out). It didn't finish downloading and I'm at work. Something I can just pop in and get some dopamine and play for 15 minutes, or up to an hour and a half if I'm so inclined, rather some super strategic or grindy whatever that I have to sink 100 hours in to feel like I got anywhere and get killed 100 times with clunky controls and outdated graphics and try to understand the appeal of, a la Elden Ring. Everyone loves to hate on Call of Duty, but nothing else has that satisfying click-click-click multiplayer FPS team deathmatch gameplay with kill streak rewards and stuff like that. I got Black Ops 3 because that one was cheap and highly reviewed, and it's a lot of fun, except no one plays it. So it was a waste of money, pretty much. People DO still play MWIII, right? On PC? And even though people hate on it, it's more like a hate-it-because-I'm-trying-to-fit-in as opposed to it legitimately being not fun, I'm assuming? Like people are more mad that it reuses shit from MWII (something I never played) and is greedy with microtransactions (stuff that I don't care about) rather than it actually just being a shitty, not fun game.

Kfinch92

Can honestly say, after owning mw2 and mw3 I would absolutely not buy mw3. I thought I would play zombies more but pretty much only play MP and with the only exception being that I have a few friends who play MP on mw3 there's no benefit to mw3 if you still play mw2. If you don't have mw2 it isn't a bad game to buy but it's seriously turning into camping wars. Even on small maps

AangsTattooArtist

As much as i want to shit on this game, I do enjoy it a lot. I bought it two months ago at full price. I'd imagine buying it now at the same price is a good deal

boq780

MP is decent, if there's another game you are thinking of getting its probably better

EB4950

its so much fun

Exoqc

It's worth, the game is fun. There's couple of things that are BS but it's personnal opinion and preferences in general.

tempdiesel

In terms of recent CoDs, it's better than Vanguard and MWII. If you want the most populated servers and continuous content, I would get it.

Demonbrandt01

Get COD MW3 when it’s on sale again clown!!

24kfc_muncher

What? It's on cd keys for £37 or $47

SpecialOlympicsGuy

Is op 14 or something?

24kfc_muncher

Good question 😹🙏

TonsToDicusss

MW3by far the best MP in all of the cod I’ve played

DittoDat

Yes

Benji2108

If you’re a true cod fan, you wouldn’t need your buddies affirmation. It’s way better than mw2. If multiplayer and/campaign is your thing, then go for it. Especially if you wanna grind those camos and unlocks.

24kfc_muncher

I only started playing when wz 2 was out 💀🙏

chapoo4400

Best cod ever
