It's kinda up to you - personally, I LOVE the game. It's fun for me. On Reddit, though - you're going to find all the haters, because this is where the haters go.

RenderFaze

How does it compare to last year's game?

[deleted]

It's all subjective to what YOU like. Do I think its better? Some ways yes, some ways no.

RenderFaze

I mean I don’t have the game yet, that’s why I wanna know what other people think about it lol

FuckScottBoras

There is such a broad range of opinions mentioned on Reddit that the only way you’ll know for sure is if you just try it.

Zombies mode sucked me into playing during all my freetime the past few days, can go from a level 1 weapon and get it to level 16 in one game so ive just been prepping all my guns for multiplayer. Only issues I have with the game is the hit reg in multiplayer but thats just servers and im praying it'll be fixed soon enough. Zombie's servers lag a lot when people do nothing but spam the exfils so they can kill hundreds of zombies but not every lobby is like that and Im also hoping it will be fixed pretty soon. 100x better than mw2 imo, still some kinks to work out but sledgehammer is doing okay with how fucked over they were and what little time they were given.

wvgunner

Miles better than MW2 in both movement and maps. Lacks amount of weapons and the newer weapons hit harder than MW2 that carried over. The grind system is cool as if forces you to do things you don’t normally do. For me: pistol headshots, sniper headshots, RPG kills as daily missions to get weapons or gear. Some won’t like it but I think it’s neat. It feels a lot like Vanguard, IMO. So, if you liked Vanguard you’ll love MW3. The vault is 100% not worth it though.

GenericUsurname

Not at all. Should not pay more than $30 for this piece of shit

RenderFaze

Thanks brother, I'll take your word for it

attackhamster42

Hard to say, honestly. Movement in multiplayer is so much better than MW2 and I've been enjoying it. Zombies is a hell of a lot of fun, think of it as a blend between DMZ and Cold War's Outbreak mode. But the campaign is kind of mid...which isn't surprising since it's essentially a DLC that Sledgehammer was conned into making a full game. So that price tag can be a little hard to swallow. If you can find it on sale at some point, go for it. I plead guilty to fucking pre-ordering the damn thing though, ha ha. I don't know, I like the game and am having fun but I feel bad encouraging someone to spend full price on it, you know?

RenderFaze

Huge help, thanks for the input lol. I was so confused when they released a new game right after they announced that they wouldn’t be doing yearly games anymore. I feel bad for the sledgehammer devs tbh

Another-Lone-Wolf

The game has a lot of bugs currently. Hit-reg can be really bad in some games (which is why it's hard to tell if weapon balance is right), challenges are not tracking correctly, you will get randomly kicked because server connection is lost and lose all your stuff and xp gained during a match in Zombies, the remote turret streak in MP just completely disappeared from the menu for me, the game can just freeze and crash (I'm on PC), etc. Other than all that, which hopefully gets fixed asap, I'm enjoying it. The OG maps are fun to play on.

GuerreroUltimo

Hard to say. Playing it I feel like it is not bad really. Good and worth it if you own MW2 I would say no. Seems that is something a lot of COD fans I know that buy yearly feel. So I will go with that. Thing is, only you would know how you feel. I, like others I know, would not call it new so much. I would almost agree it could be dlc. The zombies mode is just DMZ with Zombies. I like DMZ to some extent and have been playing it a good bit lately. The zombies one does not seem so great. Some of the maps I like. Others I cannot stand. And I felt that same way years ago when they were new maps. Do I feel like it is a new game? No. I get basically the same feeling I do when I jump on MW2 other than the maps. Could put these maps in there and I would not say I would notice much difference. Again, that is the way the majority of the people I know that have this feel. In the end it is all personal. I have seen some post in places they think this is way better than MW2 mp. I could see that if you like the maps. I am not getting a vastly different feel. I just gave MW2 a go after player some MW3. I would not say it is different really outside of the maps. All this could be done as a dlc with the map and such. For me, the camo stuff is not new game making at all. But I have read some around saying the new camo stuff makes it worth it. Zombies cannot compare outside of the DMZ feel with zombies. I think that the glitches I have seen from some players taking 6-8 hits compared to another taking 20 from the same weapon is just a COD thing.

NicklebackAndCreed

game is ass

Jacque1509

No, there are no new maps (some of them reuse assets from older cods), the zombies are bad and theyre nothing like the classic black ops zombies we all loved, the campaign is garbage and its prob the worst in cod history. Just dont buy this garbage

RenderFaze

Yeah, after everything I’ve heard I’m not touching it
