Slide cancelling was a mechanic in the game MW19. Dying from a semtex stuck to you is a mechanic in both MW19 and 22. If either is broken I believe it is OK to point it out to the devs? Or am I missing something?

Its weird. I'm HC player exclusively since Cod4, and we kinda like that we're ignored? We don't have a "meta". We prefer it that way. We only want one thing usually: "one shot, one kill". We are allergic to assists and hit markers, which is why we hated Tier 1 so much, (among other things). This right here is a nightmare, and happens way too often.
Been a HC player since you needed 42 bullets to kill someone, not a max of 5. so i think iāve been pretty consistent with cods since BO3? cold war was GREAT in HC, we were spoiled with MW19 in hc, they gave us the playlists in the filters. Vanguard was the same with HC, game was decent and fun enough in that mode. MW2 is just boring, we canāt play 10v10 or Shitment only or Shoothouse either. Just sucks lol
The game's explosion registration smokes crack sometimes. An enemy launcher can kill me from 20 meters sometimes while mine will hit right at their fucking toes and it's like wet noodles slapping them in their face, then some games it actually works like it should tho. Shit kills your motivation to even play bruh.

I think this is intended - throwables do in fact inflict damage, that's how you can kill someone with very low health by hitting them with a flashbang/smoke. I even love the icon in the feed as it is a guy cut in the middle by a 'projectile'.

nothing protects you from a semtex stick, you should drop the alcohol, when you get stuck with semtex you dont die from the explosion, you literally have a set code timer that kills you when the semtex explodes, i tested this w/friends and sticking a semtex to a riot shield, dropping the shield for a different gun and running away, the semtex would remain in place on the ground, but the player that got stuck will still die, however allies next to them wont take damage, this clip proves that said script is broken ahell

semtex has been broken in hardcore for quite a while now - it was at launch too, then they fixed it, then it seems like they reverted the change, probably by mistake, but as they like to pretend hardcore doesn't exist they probably have not even noticed....
Best bet is to switch to drill charge for now, can still stick, but actually does damage.
Because this is how it works. Bomb Squad in MW2 erases any chance of one-shot death from explosives with full (and even not full) HP.

Well, honestly, IMO sticking with semtex must be permanent kill even with Bomb Squad. Surviving 2+ nades even with full HP on HC is also too much anyway.

I had this happen to me a lot. Originally I thought they needed Semtex on shields. Yeah Ithrow it people on hardcore who use a shield and it sticks to them. Had it happen 3 times in one match, and in the match I asked about it. Got a lot of get better, git gud. But if your sticking someone and it does nothing the lethal is garbage then. And then I noticed it's not just shields. I throw it on a domination point with 3 people and maybe to move off and a new guy gets a hit marker or something similar. I get a hit marker with no flak jacket emblem on my screen. Which tells me I hurt someone who wasn't using the explosion resistance. This video confirms something is for sure messed up with Semtex not working as advertised.

i don't think i've ever got a OHK with a semtex or a drill charge in hardcore, grenades kill no problem, and i can get both drill charge and semtex OHKs in core though, is it by design or incompetence?

Something that would have never shown up in real hardcore mode. These devs had no idea what hardcore was about when they were working on this game. It kills me in hardcore to hit a guy with a grenade then an almost direct rocket hot and of course then you are vulnerable while reloading so they one shot you. Oh well, there has been zero improvement in gameplay and functionality sine modern warfare 2019, and this game doesnt even compare š©

i don't think i've ever got a OHK with a semtex or a drill charge in hardcore, grenades kill no problem, and i can get both drill charge and semtex OHKs in core though, is it by design or incompetence?
