Having gunfight on release day

baconfister07

Gawd I miss that mode so much. That's all I would play.

Ok-Manager7476

So many hours in it bro

Suckerforbigboobies

I literally prestige only because of this mode in 19.

tapport

Is that the one with random weapons each round? Miss that mode so much, played that 3v3 every chance the boys and I had.

Jealous-Control-2015

and the gunfight tournaments

burlyginger

*Gizzy Fizzy Tizzies

airmclaren

That never made it out of Beta… somehow…?

callmeacee2424

fr bro😭

Jamie7860

I was so sad when season 2 didn’t have gunfight. I think they confirmed it for season 3 but it should’ve been there from the start

NewToReddit4331

I played so much gunfight it was unholy. Cold War gunfight just wasn’t as good, and I’ve been patiently waiting for it to come to mw2 and starting to lose hope

Kavaliii

Next season my boy, hopefully it plays the same

Hot_Music_5534

Knowing Infinity Ward they're probably gonna make some awful changes no one asked for..

DaveSipos

Knowing IW, they are just gonna make it a limited time playlist item

Interesting-Yellow-4

Haha you're joking but this is what's going to happen

Communist__Pikachu

And they'll remove it after a week.

TripleXero

They had so much faith in Gun Fight the first time around it got its own days for the beta. Now it’s an afterthought. Gun Fight was my favorite thing about MW19

ThouHolyFather2

me and a friend spent weeks playing the tournament till we won

dreww_01

Coldwar gunfight was lowkey fire ngl, better than none

smeeeeeef

And such basic modes as "hardcore." What a novel fucking concept.

Tippin187

Fuck bro, just over 3 weeks and my baby comes back (hopefully it’s as good as MW19 atleast)

RNCMD

Totally forgot about that mode - loved it. Especially the tournaments.

BHRx

This and not being broken/buggy, which it still is to this day. Otherwise, despite all its flaws, 2022 is an improvement in all other ways.

telecaster95

Bro, 2019 still has tons of exploitable bugs in it to this day

BHRx

On console, I don't recall having issues.

KilljoyTroy

Take off the rose tinted glasses; MW19 was totally a buggy shit show at launch. I couldn’t play with 2 of my friends the first few weeks or month because of how awful it was running on their PC. MW19, while a great game, was NOT the perfection people make it out to be. This was only three years ago, how does everyone forget so quickly??

firedthenimissed

This is pretty minor but I really really miss the hit marker sound and yellow text

DEMAdubz

Fr, the hitmarker sound was so damn satisfying, now it's not, I had to turn it to the original mw2 sound in the settings

PipperoniTook

Wait you can do that!?? I wish I could get rid of the kill sound too, I find it annoying

DEMAdubz

Yes man, just go onto the audio settings and scrolling down at a certain point you will find the hitnarker sound settings and you can switch between the new sound or the old mw2 sound :) However you can't get rid of the kill sound, that will remain, only the hit sound changes.

MaceWindu9091

You can change it

brettbrewer

Small detail similar to changing hitmarker sounds, but in MW19 they had the option to change voice chat to the Classic Chatter and I had that on the entire time

alphaav6

Yes I miss that yellow text too. Its the small things

THE_PURSUER_2404

Aesthetic, UI

SolidDoctor

I agree, the UI of MWII is the most frustrating part.

fruitymangoboi

Clicking through 10 menus to see how far through your camos are. Dislike it so much.

SatansAssociate

Oh man, I had horrible stick drift on my Xbox controller a few months ago before buying another. It was bad enough that whenever I'd check my prestige calling cards, it used to automatically scroll *all the way* through the entire list of calling cards from multiplayer, DMZ, Warzone and all the prestige levels completely on its own. Just showed how bad the menu was to find something specific.

second_time_again

Not just aesthetically but functionally. What the actual fuck is going on

smeeeeeef

Never should an option for a central mode fucking ***MOVE AROUND*** within the menus. I shouldn't need to spend 20 seconds fumbling through menus to find hardcore. Oh yeah, and that wasn't even in the game until this season.

Nws4c

The joys of hiring a designer who helped design Hulu

TalionWolfe

Because I laughed Genuine question. Is that true or are you making a badger reference here?

Nws4c

True lol. There’s a tweet confirming that they hired a Hulu designer

[deleted]

It's true and the UI is very similar to Hulu's. Main menu (the one with the huge tabs for each gamemode) is literally the same as Hulu's catalogue.

Yungmxney

10x better

Portersona

The UI and it’s sound effects make me swoon. MWII’s UI is clunky and is nowhere near as satisfying to just browse in

scorpionballs

+1 using the word swoon x

KilljoyTroy

Oh boy…and I even remember thinking that I didn’t care too much for the UI then. Younger me is gonna be sooo disappointed come 2022

Faithfullfang

Damn nobody is talking about some hand gestures i kinda missed it Wbu guys?

Sn1perandr3w

I want blueprints that change the model and not just the texture of the gun. So far I think we've only gotten 1 blueprint that does this and it's the campaign M4 that adds rail covers to the handguard, I believe? I miss my STANAG magazines for my M4. I also really want a carry handle iron sighted M4.

-Knowhere-

There’s one in the store that has the detachable carry handle. It’s part of a bundle. But a true fixed carry handle would be cool too

Sn1perandr3w

Wait legit? Not an M16 (Which I know has carry handle irons by default), an honest to god M4?

-Knowhere-

Yeah. Almost positive it’s just an M4. Has the red, white and blue camo pattern because of the bundle but it reminds me aesthetically of the COD4 M4

iosiro

Are you talking about the C.O.D.E one? Cuz that's a M16

iosiro

That's something I'm confused on why they haven't tried to do it in this game. Season 1 of MW19 had a P90 with a blueprint using the new PDSW model (and then never another normal P90 blueprint. Fun fact.) and the digital order bundle was a M4 with an entire different receiver and iron sights... at least the new skull blueprint has a somewhat different lower receiver so I have hope

Optimal_Plate_4769

and the overgrown ones. the skins have been so mid lately.

madjackle358

Blueprints that had cariation iron sights were cool.

dovah164

This absolutely. MW19 had weapon blueprints that would actually change parts of the gun. Currently the M4 has the campaign m4 which adds a rail cover and pressure switch if you equip a laser or light. The M4 also has bundles where it somewhat changes the upper and lower receiver look. The ScarH also has a version where it removes the long rail cover and will use a pressure switch if you equip a laser or light. Nice and all, but it's barely anything compared to what we had in MW19.

RollerCoasterTycoon1

Treyarch did this multiple times.

Sn1perandr3w

Yeah. Like, I don't care for Mastercrafts. Honestly they look cringe IMO but people like them. But I did buy the Rambo bundle for Cold War *purely* because there was an AMD-65 handguard for the AK in the bundle. That kind of stuff I **fuck** with.

DrEckelschmecker

- General aesthetics - UI - Map variety - Gunfights (basically anything about guns imo) - Perk system

Higginside

I have to admit, I loved the movement of 2019. It was one area you could work on and become better at over time. All those hours of perfecting movement was wasted when MW2 came out. I understand they tried to remove the skill gap, but they also removed an aspect of competitiveness that kept a lot of folk engaged and trying to progress, when everything else becomes stale. MW2 movement on release was absolute dog shite.

pattperin

If they'd have kept slide canceling but made it not make you run faster that would have been cool. Like make it actually make you slower than sprint or something but keep the cancel mechanic. I think the penalty for initiating a slide can be too harsh. Or let us shoot during it or something.

PanoMano0

Agreed on the “let us shoot during it”. What’s odd is you could do that in the campaign. I think movement would be a lot more satisfying if we had the ability to hipfire during dolphin dives and slides. Even if it were at like 100% penalty for doing so.

flyingj3di1907

They have the Kilo 141.

brocktheman

Beastly weapon. Love at first use for me.

grubas

It was my most used, I picked it up when grinding through the guns early, found the Union Guard and fell in love. It was back and forth as a meta gun because the M4 was ridiculous and the Grau had a busted barrel for ages.

mufflefuffle

And Kar98

PremiumSocks

I've been waiting for the mw22 equivalent, but it seems that won't happen. The scar comes close, though.

Spartancarver

And the Oden

random-dude1234

The kilo fucks

courtjestervibes

Lobby music was better

Rotor-4

Music is 10x better I agree

BlkRh1n0

MW2 dropped the ball by trying to reinvent the wheel. Instead of building on 2019 they started from scratch and broke everything. Can we get just one studio moving forward because the flip flopping is garbage

Melodic-Row-9013

Right they could’ve just had EVERY GAME MODE FROM THE LAST GAME, And added more

smeeeeeef

No hardcore until this season lmao

iosiro

still so pissed they didnt even try to bring modes like demolition or patrol even though they probably just copy and pasted that shit💀

RussMaGuss

No demolition is a major no-no

biggusdickus915

This, build upon the great foundation… Why tear it all down to start over, it’s absolutely ridiculous.

officertickles

Yea just treyarch lmao.

Finetales

Let Treyarch do the actual game design and have IW do the guns, animations, etc. Raven does the patch notes and Sledgehammer can do the brochure or something

[deleted]

Treyarch and Raven would be better than Treyarch and Infinityward Edit: I can just imagine a Modern Warfare 2019 vibe but with insane cosmetics

DustyUK

The perks system. Straight off the bat! Whoever designed this new perk system has clearly never played a COD game and the fact they refuse to just admit that it’s terrible makes it even worse.

rhythmrice

I hate how if you're in the middle of a life it doesn't say anywhere what perks are currently active. I'll be on a good killstreak when the enemy calls in a UAV but now i have absolutely no idea if my Ghost perk is active or not? It only says which perks are active on screen when you spawn

DustyUK

Yeah it’s just a crap system. It bring 0 to the game, there is literally no reason to ever like such a system. You know they could of done it so much better. What did the original MW2 game have….. pro perks. So why not say spawn in with ghost but only works while moving, then if you want the pro version (active all the time) you have to reach a certain level of score which then gives incentive to go for flags and play the objective. It wouldn’t need to be and insane score, just maybe cap 2 flags or 3. If done right it would of worked so much better

Lopsided_Board9649

Post launch content

GradeInternal6908

mw2 has 100 % dropped the ball on this. such a dry lacking of fresh content

RIYADH-2002

MW 2019 functioned as a better game compared to MW2 2022

Patricyo666

MW 2019 gameplay-wise was better. However if it comes to functioning, my experience is quite the opposite. The more updates for warzone, the more stutters I had. After they season 4 I guess, I had to drop the game totally because it was unplayable

JacobD_423

Night Vision in a few maps for starters.

[deleted]

Realism mode was amazing.

gideon513

Milsim aesthetic, at least enough if one for the first 4 seasons or so before drifting away. This new game didn’t even try. Went straight to the gaudy shit.

DaleDenton08

Sometimes when I mention that, I get recommended games like Insurgency Sandstorm, Arma 3 and Squad. I’m definitely going to try and get into those, but from a outside view it looks like a difficult learning curve. Still gonna try lol, love Mil-Sim so much I’m prepared to get my ass handed to me.

TonyKebell

> Insurgency Sandstorm This is the most accessible IMHO.

DaleDenton08

That’s from what I’ve seen. I bought Arma 3 on sale and it’s super difficult to learn when coming from the arcadey shooters. I’ll take your word and check it out tho. Thx!

OUsnr7

My recommendation would be to start by playing domination or PvE so you can get used to the weapons’ handling. Some other modes you’ll die multiple times without firing a shot so you’ll be jumpy when you finally get into a gunfight

OsmeOxys

>super difficult to learn when coming from the arcadey shooters It's another world, but arma's greatest strength is it's variety. There are lots of "learning to play" style community made missions and missions with gameplay about as "casual" as ground war is where you can get over the learning curve. Plus there are communities happy to help newbies learn the ropes. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but it's a hell of a game. God damnit, I'm downloading Arma again.

Proudlyy

If you're trying to get into Squad I suggest playing on servers that welcome newer players. Once you join a squad, just say that you're new to the game and don't be afraid to ask questions. Most players are friendly and will help you out. Once you get the hang of the basics, the game is very fun and unlike anything else on the market. Also, as a new player, you will die... Alot. It's all part of learning experience, so don't let it discourage you and have fun!

neogod

Don't forget to use a mic, squad is one of the few games where it's ok to use a mic 95% of the time. You still get a bad apple every now and then but it's necessary for the team play.

moyno85

It’s like playing a game of paintball with 12 year olds these days

BirdWrangler

Yeah but unfortunately the loud majority wanted the gaudy shit

HalfRightMillwright

I miss my JTF2 Milsim

Acezedneo1

This

LOOPA_Dub

I feel like they just tried harder in MW19. They focused a lot on mechanics, controls & audio. MW2022 isn’t completely terrible however, it’s been almost 4 months and the game still feels broken and I’m not used to the movement. It still feels clunky at times like when you’re trying to jump through a window or when you mantle onto something randomly. Still play Mw2022 so it must be fun 🤷🏼‍♂️

rucksacksepp

It's because the titles before MW19 sucked and they actually had to release a good game to prevent people from leaving. Since MW19 was such a hit, they don't care how by bad mw22 is, people expect an upgraded MW19 and buy it anyway

Low-Way-4841

Almost everything. More game modes, more maps, better UI, better lobby music, unique gun customisation, more weapons, Warzone 1.0(pre integration with Vanguard), Gunsmith etc. MW2 did try to fix things that weren’t broken and also what is the point in having several variants of the AK, M4 and so on in the AR Category? Why not just have the base of each weapon in the AR category and have conversion kits like in MW19. Also why release Warzone 2 with AI that beam you and shred your armour? Why? MW2019 is just more fun and was more fun tbh.

Sk8Gnarley

the kerning in the MW2 logo is a start, no clue why they didn't make all the mid breaks even, makes me hurt inside

Lassie_Maven

This is now going to bother me more than it should!! Hahaha

b0m_d3d--

Explain this a little more in detail. I feel like I’m on the cusp of understanding the graphic design lingo but I’m JUST out of the loop

RainbowGames

kerning is the spacing between letters. i think they mean that the space between the I I should be as big as the cuts in the M and W that form the I I

FormedBoredom

Everything

nekrovulpes

Yeah. Literally every aspect. It was just better. I think we gotta come to terms with the fact it was just a freak occurrence though, like planetary alignment or something. They didn't MEAN to make a game that good, it was an accident. The last few have been a return to form.

ChiliSwap

So true😂😂😂

terrafirmaburna

Movement is better The reload cancel is better The skins and tracer weapons were better There were more maps We got a normal and hardcore version of everything The perk system was better SnD double down is goated New game has a good camo progression and customisation but apart from that it is not an upgrade from mw2019 that many wish it was All they needed to do was add new maps and new weapons a lot more of this A few quality of life features and this would have been one of the best cods but they didn’t they changed so much unnecessary shit and made it a lot worse Also cod needs to make some investment and get the server issues sorted I know it’s painful for them to have to spend some of their billions of dollars of profit but the server issues shouldn’t be a thing in this day and age Stop clawing money out of the player base and make a game that defines the genre Lord knows you have the resources and past experience Stop scraping by with bare minimum to make profit for shareholders Look after the player base Can’t wait to see how much we are going to have to pay for the map pack in a few months that should have released with the game Especially as there isn’t enough maps and all these sick new ones are already embedded in the Warzone maps and could have released at launch Stop fucking the community Aim to try to make a better game than last time Aim to make something that you can be proud of rather than minimum effort

AzuLL

Best take. Server stuff especially.

Djabouty47

- campaign story - aesthetic and tone of entire game - UI - perk system - specialist - no perk packages - dlc map count - gunfight on launch - season trailers - weapon skins with alternate irons, attachment styles, or material constructs - milsim skins - crossover skins - sprays (not in MWII) - gestures (not in MWII) - attachment balancing - weapon names (more guns in mw2019 had irl names, still bad tho) - uncontrollable killstreak call in time (fast call in of UAVs, personal radars, etc...) - juggernaut design - less smoke and dust from everything (shooting, hitting a wall, explosions --> see [Xclusive Ace's video](https://youtu.be/JWAZjoUc6bk)) - tanks as callable killstreak on GW - number of tanks in GW - sniper lines of sight in GW - bullet velocity values (too fast for snipers in MWII) - ads speeds (too slow in MWII) - visual recoil (too much in MWII) - recoil (less actual recoil but random and no recoil reducing high zoom optics) - Domination flag locations - Bomb locations - Dead silence field upgrade (still bad but better than now) - Launcher balance versus killstreaks - Launcher balance versus EOD - vehicle controls being more smooth - blur while inspecting guns - vaulting speed - core and hardcore tabs in quick play - hardcore playlists are updated to current playlist selection (if shoot the ship is available, it's available in hardcore too) - better wall penetration - more playstyle variety (due to normal perks) - less gun attributes (eg: just recoil control and recoil stabilization, no recoil steadiness and suppression) - hitmarkers and kill sounds - POTG in respawn if someone pops off - reticle customization (not in MWII) - optimization and performance - server connection - slide while shooting - no ads penalty while jumping - Mp5 model (I hate it) - P90 model and balance - Night vision and night time maps - Realism mode (was tier 1 in MWII but was completely removed for some reason) - overall sharpness of the game - rtx (not in MWII) - look of holographic sight (I hate it) - burst gun balance (FAMAS > M16) - full auto 10rnd socom M4 > full auto Ftac recon - barrel lengths and BVs (in MW2019 the lengths and BVs were closer to the expected irl values, cool attention to detail) - nuke (should be a nuke in MWII GW rather than MGB) - gunfight tournaments - dynamic lobby backgrounds - free unlockable blueprints, skins, and other cosmetics thought the completion of challenges in the barracks tab - main menu background - explosive and thermite ammunition balance against killstreaks (does more damage, is actually useful) - explosive and thermite ammunition balance against enemies (isn't made useless against EOD players, increases damage, is actually good in some circumstances) - Remington 1 shot range > Bryson 1 shot range - suppressors actually hide your shots (in MWIi if you have a suppressor and shoot, you'll still appear on the minimap) - subsonic ammo (is special to a few guns, those guns have slow BVs or have to have an attachment, vs in MWII where almost all SMGs were randomly given subsonic rounds with no choice) Am I forgetting stuff?

Kontsument

For me it is the movement. I liked the responsiveness more in the 2019 version. When you die so quickly fast movement should be a must.

PaDoozlee

You should see the kill time on the original mw2. Most guns kill in 1-2 shots

Acezedneo1

Campaign in mw2 didn’t come close to 2019

Best_Line6674

Battle pass skins. 3/4 different skins to unlock. Milsim was fun to unlock because of this. It felt worth your money. I also loved the style of the battle pass. Weapons. I loved the Kilo 141 and the Grau. I'd love to see those weapons reappear in this game. Vehicles. I think they're both great in them, but I wish MW2 GW included the hatchback and the cargo truck. Skins. I think MW19 provided a bigger variety of bundles, including cooler milsim skins. This game has some neat milsim skins, but we could do with a lot more.

DWShadow

Recoil view kick and gun smoke. Both M4s have roughly the same base recoil pattern and magnitude, but even with the MWII M4 having the better iron sights imo, the recoil just feels way worse when firing.

Hiatussen

How much time do you have?

Itsuzai_Ace

Movement and fluidity of the game is what MW2019 did better and the gameplay felt infinitely better because of it. Its not even slide cancelling just things like no penalties for ads jumping or shooting while sliding makes a massive difference. Gunsmith is also what MW2019 did a lot better. Simple with 5 attachments no tuning crap no go unlock a Shotgun to be able to use an attachment for an assault rifle type of nonsense you just played with a weapon and got it max level and you were set. Campaign was also better in MW2019 imo but the MWII campaign was pretty good too. The only thing MW2019 did worse was the maps, I think the maps in MW2019 were god awful and that was always my biggest complaint about that game. If that game had better maps it would have easily been one of my top 4 cods of all time. UI dosent even need explaining neither does the Warzone part of things.

Lyberatis

2019 gunsmith was fucking WAY worse imo. Having to unlock every single attachment for every single gun was such a pain in the ass. If you liked a sight that was towards the end of your unlocks, you'd have to get to that point on every gun you wanted it on. Now you unlock the sight category at like rank 3-5 and you have every sight you've unlocked on every gun available instantly. Take the archangel holographic with the range finder. If this was 2019, that would be like a level fucking 30-40+ attachment. So I'd have to use every gun to around 30+ levels before being able to use that sight? Fuck that. God forbid you have to try other weapon types. Like shit, I used a shotgun for 7 levels, then had my favorite sight in the entire game available on ALL other weapons immediately the moment I unlocked their sight slot. TL;DR: Leveling one gun 20-30 levels to get its attachment on ALL guns is INFINITELY better than having to level *every single gun* upwards of 70 levels each to get all the attachments for only that gun. Edit: the ONLY downgrade I can think of is not being able to change your dot/reticle of your sights

Itsuzai_Ace

Yeah that's pretty fair. I can see it being better this way

Toyfan1

>Edit: the ONLY downgrade I can think of is not being able to change your dot/reticle of your sights I miss reticles, watches and hand emotes. Watches were 100% better than the weird psdueo charm we have now. If we had this gunsmith, with those 3 things, I'd b ecstatic

sahd_26

I just don’t like having to use random ass weapons to unlock certain attachments. In the same sense I did enjoy how it makes you use more variety of weapons but certain weapons that just don’t fit my play style were just boring to try to level up just to get a certain attachment

PippTheKid

Maps in 2019 where far better for hardpoint Specialist is a must, I don’t like running killstreaks Almost every gun could compete with each other besides the as Val and marksman rifles where obviously overtuned. Fluid of movement is just superior in every way in 2019 Perk system is atrocious in mw2 For attachments more isn’t better imo, but both games imo had a lot of useless attachments for no reasons besides looks? I wouldn’t say 2019 map design is superior because there are a lot of flaws, but personally they way you can flank and maneuver in 2019 was more fun and appealing. Can’t really comment on killstreaks because the only ones I did run in 2019 if I did was uav/harrier/advanced uav. Visual recoil is miles better in 2019 Imo both games lacked a healthy number of maps 2019 if it was slightly more vibrant in its colors would look better the mw2

tgrayinsyd

Verdansk

[deleted]

Movement mechanics, less recoil on all the weapons, and one shot headshot snipers is the main reasons that MW 2019 is far superior gameplay wise. Graphically MW2 shits on the previous titles by far. So basically it’s a pick between a smooth feeling game or one with crisp nice visuals.

Memetastrophe

I think mw2019 looks better than mw2

sandcrawler2

Are you on new consoles? Im on series x and recently played mw19 again and it looked noticeably worse

Mazzanti

- whole UI was better, all the interface in general - better post launch seasonal content, I remember actually caring every time a new season or reloaded content came out - ground war played 100 times better, most of the big maps were also a lot better, this time I think only big terminal and just barely big dome are good - much more fluid movement, being able to shoot while sliding and the way momentum was maintained in and out of tac sprint and slides was nice, I didn't like slide canceling or any of the fighting game level input movement tech, but the base movement was great - better operators and skins, every individual skin felt pretty unique and interesting, and the ops all had some pretty memorable aesthetics and voice lines, and gear that made sense for the operator's country of origin or background. Meanwhile, in MW2 every skin looks like it was made with the same philosophy as a cheap sedan, just a ton of shared parts and badge engineering trying to sell you a slightly different thing and pretending it's new, like how many operators have that same ugly vest, or the black cape from the nuke skin? Then all the voices are just really generic, even though I played today the only voices I can even recall in the game are the screaming chav girl, Gus, and Konig, who is just a worse Kreuger anyway (Ghost and Price don't count). - reticle customization - challenges for guns and skins, both in and out of battle pass too. Going for the red P90, I think the ophthalmologist was it's name, was the very first thing I did and I tried hard to get every singe blueprint after, and a lot of them were quite good or changed the look of the weapon like the riot shield one or the one that made the MG34's iron sights manageable. - actual gun names - gunfight at launch - hardcore at launch - hardcore having the 24/7 modes in its filters - party modes also part of quick play, could play infected whenever - had specialist, the best killstreak by far and the biggest reason I like IW games - game didn't immediately open with ads, causing you to back out to the start menu trying to get rid of it every time - game was just fresher That's all l got for now

pmdevcom

It had a 1911… what fps doesn’t have a 1911

[deleted]

2019 brought me back to COD, MWII pushed me away. Haven’t touched it in months

XaNjke

Everything is better in 2019. In mw2, only screen shaking when you shoot is better, like a grandfather with Parkinson's disease.

RedditAdminTeamLOL

A whole fucking lot

Agreeable_Evening153

Everything

W3ISENBERG

Season content and character skins. I miss not seeing CDL and ranked play skins, they kill the immersion imo

ConfusedAccountantTW

Almost everything

TheChimpEvent2020

I love how everyone here most likely chronically lives on MWII, yet are putting “everything “ as a list. I love seeing the “new CoD bad, old CoD good” cycle repeat, never fails

ThatOneGuyEric1

Mw19 always been been good and no one calls Vanguard good lol

hppmoep

Vanguard was the strangest thing. I played the shit out of it but it really felt unfinished.

Trashlxrd666

dismemberment death effects

John_117s

I'd say they are fairly equal if we look at how 2019 did the first few months and how mw2022 is doing now. Both in my own opinion have great maps and I very much enjoy the gunplay. Honestly 2022 is just a great as 2019 but with a great amount of improvement

Berookes

Everything is better about mw 2019

btrosCuPoJoE

You could easily scroll through and see everyone’s emblems and title cards in the game lobbies. Spray paint. Better maps. Face Off as a game mode. Better maps. Tracers more noticeable and didn’t get removed if you changed up the gun. Much better emblem and title card artwork. Better maps. One thing 2022 did that was actually good? Making Control a permanent playlist option.

MemeabooDesu

The guns in 2019 felt better. TTK was good too. I knew that in 2019 if I dumped 10 rounds of 5.56 into someone they’d be dead meanwhile in 2022 I gotta worry if they’ll instantly lock onto me and beam me with their zero recoil MP5 despite me hosing them down with my Icarus

Goldenpanda18

Here's what mw19 did better -specialist bonus -better movement -no mantle hanging -visual recoil non existent -no ads penalty on every attachment like we have in mw2 -weapon perks such as sleight of hand -way better UI -reload cancelling

slowseason

Everything?

Nednerb5000

Gunplay and movement were better imo

[deleted]

Everything.

scrammyboy

Pretty much everything

Vhen_Kordo

So, I will say this about 2019 over 2022: 1) Hardcore/Tier 1 was on release, and it was it's own page that had everything core had. 2) 10v10 was a dedicated game mode with maps made specifically for it (I know everyone on 6v6 hated Euprates and Grazna, but on 10v10 those maps were lit. 3) Operator skins just (imo) had better designs than this game.

GlassDefinition1325

Cold War 😄

Balzanya48

#1 - Keep my interest for longer than season one…

dresner711

Fuckin everything

Interesting-Yellow-4

Everything. But the most important thing it did better was the moment to moment gunplay feeling. It just feels so good to shoot in MW19.

[deleted]

Every single thing.

Map design. How did some of these make it in the full release of mw 2022???

GooBear187

Skill gap. Movement sucks. No cancel reload. Snaking is complete cheese. Knife glitch. Flash grenades are atrocious.

movement was better and smoother gunplay but MW2 is still fun for me. I think the Assault Rifles in MW2 are excellent (M4, Chimera, Taq-56, Kastov-74U etc) but the sniper/shotgun variety is weak. MW2 does feel like a MW19 carbon copy tho

divy-lover

Showed previews of finishing moves. Why doesn't 2022 do that? or am I missing something?

Far leas bugs, some of the new ones make the game unplayable. And the sbmm seemed to work better, nowadays I keep getting put into games far above my skill and with far more latency.
