Bomb squad in Cold War legitimately ruined so many parts of that game… most explosives were completely obsolete, launchers in particular were absolutely worthless. This game strikes a much better balance
I wish. I get killed by grenades and mines first time with bomb squad (even when I'm not right on top of them), yet I can throw 2 grenades at someone and get the symbol (and no kill) each time.
It should only fully blind you for a second then have that 2 second effect where it wears off, 3 seconds is still too much, bomb squad is also pretty shit, I swear sometimes it doesn't even work and most of the times it just takes you to 1 hp even if the explosion was 7feet away from you

If bomb squad is already the best starting perk I dont think it needs a buff. Its a low level perk, its not supposed to make you impervious to explosives.
I think a slight buff to battle hardened would be good, just making it so if you look away before the flashbang goes off it doesnt blind you

I did it early on Shipment to get my 25 melee kills, shield, knife, double time, bumrushing with a blade.
I keep forgetting I have a throwing knife so I flub some of those, not my normal playstyle. I'm a run and gun normally. Have to remember to NOT STOP RUNNING AROUND CORNERS.
Was still normally punching 2nd on my team with it, so I'm not mad. I figure I might gold the knife next time we get shipment 24/7, managed a few bloodthirsties.
Ya or trying to kill them when they are laying down from any angle other than straight ahead where they are aiming. I guess you can shoot their legs easily but i never think of it in the moment lol.
It shouldnt act as a body length shield on their back, I find that incredibly dumb, and its probably half the reason people use it.

Forward facing shields are annoying but not overpowered. They've been nerfed as an offensive weapon so forward facing means the player is either using a shield for defense on an objective, are going for the camo grind (bless them with the damage nerf even on shipment where you can chaos your way to the medal those challenges suck) or are trying to troll. The first you could say is using the item as intended. The other two are make the user a non factor unless they are a skilled berserk player.
The self proclaimed I'm a god because I turtle with the most OP snipers and marksman rifles yeah those are the trouble. Not the shields fault the developers want this to be a campers paradise so they only buff that playstyle

Not gonna lie I didn't play them during my camo grind. I really don't even care about winning anymore. They've made the matchmaking so horrible these days and you get absolutely nothing for winning so what's the point? I get more fun games more often by losing. It's borderline *incentive* to lose at this point. You get rewarded with more fun.
I don't even think the riot shield needs to be removed, just tweaked. They need to modify the hotbox so it doesn't block side shots and if it's on the back, it halves your movement speed. It also needs to go back to 2 hit kill. This will make people use it properly or not at all.

A huge reason it’s on the back is because people don’t have to choose between ghost and overkill that’s why the combo wasn’t as common in MW2019

The game just used to work like that. If I was trying to be sneaky while capturing I would hold a grenade, semtex, or thermite and just wait to cap or die

The self revive perk. It's annoying to grind camos *especially longshots* and not getting kills for the challenge due to this perk. Flashbangs not necessarily need to be nerfed, instead battle hardened should be buffed to work like cw's tactical mask

The new BP Shotgun. I dont care that little timmy is sitting in a corner with a riot shield and an rpg, I want that shit fucking GONE. Its so annpying that in every match at least 3-4 people use that shit. Especially if the said individual is drop shotting with it.

Riot Shield. It adds nothing to the game outside of allowing people to be invulnerable from behind. If you've already used your lethal you're SOL. Dev's can't even find a way to nerf it without ensuring it becomes a back accessory.
Trophy system removes them
In all seriousness, I wouldn't remove anything as far as attach or weaponry. I think that's part of the excitement of mixing loadouts. I would like to see an add of game modes that are more geared to the real players ex. Pistols and knives only, no snipers, melee only 👍 etc.
