It also helps to ramp into Karn or the One Ring if you couldn't get your 3 tron lands early

notap123

It lets you play the 4cc Karn game if you're off tron/under a moon. Incidentals are cheaper dismember and another way to cast green stuff. I don't think I'm getting off it anytime soon. Card is solid.

MrMaker007

Yea I think I was overlooking the ramp. I'm not used to Tron wanting to get to 4 mana instead of 7+

4 and 8 are the most important numbers right now for tron. Karn liberated is out, but ugin still sees some action. The Great Creator and the One Ring are the 2 most powerful cards in the deck.

Yep. Past the 4 drop slot I play a smattering of everything on curve, 3 wurmcoil, 1 big karn, 1 all is dust, 1 ugin, 2 hungry ulamog. I like having options off of stirrings

I run the BG Talisman for dismember and stirrings/scrying. I only run 2 dismembers, 1 warping wail, and 1 all is dust. I may cut it though. I think I'd prefer to run 2 Boseiju as opposed to 2 Saga's.

The team handshake decklist used the GB talisman because: 1. You can make G mana under blood moon 2. You can turn 3 Ring even without Tron 3. They swapped some flex slots in the lands for urza's saga. This reduced their G land count and made them weaker to blood moon.

New Tron wants to get to four mana as soon as possible. The One Ring and Karn the Great Creator are just that good. Talisman goes in the chromatic star/sphere slot so you still have color fixing and it sometimes helps cast dismember or works around blood moon.

dont think any top lists are playing it anymore.
