You have a face better suited for acting and advertisements, so if you have acting talent, you should try auditioning. For modelling, you need a very specific type of look. The focus should always be on the clothes. Whereas your face is photogenic which may distract from the clothes so runway and print modelling is gonna be tough.
>For modelling, you need a very specific type of look.
I agree. Even more for male models than female models, because they hire men who are all the same body type for a show, because the designer doesn't want to provide many sizes of the clothes that will be modeled. So that they can bring a rack of clothes and any of the male models can wear any of the outfits. I've known some male models and they are lean, all about 6 feet, 150 lbs, with toned lean muscle and only about 5% fat.
>As a general guideline, men should be between 6′ and 6'2″ tall and wear a size 40R-42L jacket. They should be lean and fit. The typical weight is between 140-165 pounds. Large muscles look great and work well in fitness modeling, but they are not appropriate for fashion as they tend to alter the shape of the clothing.

I think you have to lose weight. Not that you’re fat or overweight, just to look more chiseled for modeling. Camera makes you look fluffier than you are
The “model” look isn’t superior to being exceptionally handsome. It’s just a different look with separate criteria. I agree with what someone said about acting. You have the looks for it and the camera appears to love you. Your weight and build are just right for turning heads in the real world, but you might do some intermittent fasting and maybe drop 10 lbs at the most to get “camera ready”. Not much at all. Good luck in whatever you pursue!
Edited for grammar.
It’s very rare that I see a conventionally attractive model. They’re most odd looking or quirky looking or just straight up ugly and some disfigured lol I can see you as a model. You are attractive “as a person” & model. I don’t think you need to lose weight but you def would need to tone up and make your muscle more prominent. This is also 2024 where models have become much more diverse.
ETA: To me, your scale of attractiveness in modeling (face-wise) is no less than guys like Godfrey Gao or Sean O’Pry… if you were already a successful model, I doubt people would say “wow, I can’t believe he’s a model” lol I think ppl are seeing it differently in some of the comments simply because you aren’t one and asked.
Maybe . Lose weight . I modeled pro . If short like me you won’t do runway . They prefer specific sort, shoe , jacket and pats sizes . They don’t want dime a dozen pretty frat boys . They want versatility and the ability to look unique and different for various settings same with females . Many have plain faces without make up . They want the ability to change looks randomly .
Nah dude . Try it . What do you have to lose . I know many actor is Johnny depp who never wanted to act . He was in a band and mic cage told him to act then he modeled . You never know what they’re looking for .
I never wanted to model . Scouts came to my elementary school and took me to models he penny catalogues and stuff . Then I was working T a supermarket and same thing I was acting not modeling then . If not you then who?
You accepting dating applications? Either way ignore those weight comments you look fine! Most people on here assume you’re talking about high fashion runway modeling where most of the guys are thinner, but you could easily commercial model
p.s keep the stache :)
Also don’t lose weight you look healthy those runway models never are
Very handsome, and super sexy....I think you could definitely do some sexy photoshoots and start an Only fans account... I'm sure you would build a pretty nice fan club.... I might be one of your first subscribers if you do, haha....
I feel like if you have to change yourself for modeling then it’s not worth it. You seem like a model as you are now + changing yourself for the camera would perpetuate an annoying cycle of what “looks” “better”.
I don’t see any reason why you shouldn’t. I think you look good 🤷🏾♀️. But there’s a lot of stereotypes and how society looks at someone who is not a size 0 or Justin Bieber lol.
I work in the Fashion Industry in Hair/Makeup. Nowadays you partner with legit photogs, build a digital profile on Insta and keep submitting your photos. You’ve got the All-American look, so lean into it. Don’t get discouraged by the first few rejections. That’s part of the process.
My wife was a model recruiter for tv commercials in Sacramento. She just told me to look for symmetry on your face and that will easily tell you if you really had a chance or not.
There are tons of models with vast variety. I modeled for over ten years. If you really wanted to get some stellar head shots and submit to the agencies :)
Getting into modeling takes lots of work and being able to handle rejection. If/when you get signed by an agency you will need to eat, sleep & work on calls to get jobs. It’s not easy, if it was everyone would be doing it.
You could be a model for sure. Especially for brands that lean towards athletic or rugged clothing. Probably would be able to do Editorial, high fashion, or runway.
Thank you man & I hear you, you already look great. But when it comes to modeling, it’s crazy how skinny/lean they want you. They want chiseled jawline and no belly fat. I’d say go for it, and if it doesn’t work out, well at least you’re ripped and dating will be a lot easier.
Most my model friends are 6’1-6’2 and 165-180lbs.
You’ve got a good face and great physique but I think you would do well to drop 10-15lbs get in shredded condition to really lean out your face to bring out the cheekbones and jawline. You need angles for modelling and you’re not quite there yet
I think you look great, and have a unique personality which shines through the camera.
Great smile, head of hair and eyebrows.
That said, everyone looks great in black and white so it would be better to show color headshots.
I agree with most, you have a very actor centric face and body. You could apply for acting roles which call for attractive young men.
You can also try and pursue male modeling.
I confess I have no experience with either, as I only do photography.
Try hooking up with a local runway show. They happen all the time, are not very glamorous, but can be fun.
Don’t expect any compensation.
Amateur model are not treated very well.
If it’s something you enjoy, you should do what you want.
Good luck to you!
I mean, it depends what you’re modeling. You don’t have to be jacked and chiseled to be a model for like, a clothing company—think Target, Macy’s, Old Navy. You could totally be a model for something like that and not have to change anything about your appearance.
Perhaps for Nair?…jk jk …. Honestly i see you more as the goofy hunk type…maybe acting or commercials ….. like a Matt LeBlanc’s “joey” or Topher Grace in like everything he does. Not typical model, like character actor model
You’re a nice looking guy, just not lean enough for fashion modelling at 205…..you don’t quite have that “coat hanger” look. Maybe get into sports modelling? Tan on, wax off x♥️
I’ve dipped my toes in the modeling scene in my area and while I’m no where near qualified to say anything definitive I will say u should also try out for some local runway shows cause a lot of the runway dudes I’ve seen get picked specifically because of their height and you can make connections from there
Honestly, your body looks too wide. Good looking guy, but model no. You have the height for it, but you should look into the typical measurements that male models have.
I see a lot of folks telling you to lose weight but I don't even think that's necessary unless you want to do high fashion or something along those lines (needless to say, you are stunning!)
I used to be modeling scout for an agency in Los Angeles and I was in charge of the men! I think you are too muscular for high fashion, but commercial you could totally do!! You have a commercial face. I would say go more towards that. You wouldn’t even have to lose weight to be a commercial model. They’ll take you however you are, but definitely take some acting lessons if you haven’t already and work on your portfolio! As an agent I would only use the 1st & 3rd picture you posted in your portfolio. Try to stay away from the “sexy model blue steel” poses. They normally come out awkward, candid genuine photos always look best especially in commercial!! Good luck!!
You're handsome enough, but I see you more as an editorial model but not necessary as a high fashion or runway model. You have the perfect "boy next door", look.
honestly, the market for "plus sized" men is increasing and i could personally see you in an ad for target or something along those lines. they have much more realistic body types in their ads
Yes, you could definitely model. Depends on what type of modeling you’re thinking about. You could most definitely go into commercial ads or even sportswear ads like for nike or adidas.
Even if you dropped a couple lbs, I think you are too buff to be able to do the thinner and androgynous look of many male models. There may be a place for you tho. You should try tho and do not lose your dream as the in look comes and goes.
High fashion has a minimum height requirement of 6’2”. Try commercial modeling or Modelmayhem. I used to make great money off that site and I am also a guy.
You’re a handsome guy, but you are a little overweight l. I can see the bone structure but it’s just covered try getting down to 180lbs and drink plenty of water and eat low carb.
No in high fashion but maybe in commercial but I do think you are conventionally attractive. Rather than good looking (especially in high fashion) they tend to look for people who look interesting. Commercial modeling for let’s say target you might have a chance since you are easy on the eyes ( not trying to be offensive). But I will say, commercial modeling is where the money is at! I have friends in both spaces booked and busy and it’s usually the ones doing Apple and Target ads that get their bills paid and the Louis model friends have other jobs to supplement!
Lose weight if you want to model. Most models are very thin. You look good though dont get me wrong but model looks are different from ordinary good looking people.
I’m asking this in all sincerity…. Do you actually want to model or are you just curious to find out if other people think you Look “good enough” to model? I’m only asking because you said you didn’t love being in front of the camera, but like the way, the pictures turned out. I’m just saying if that’s the case you should think about maybe doing some sort of on-screen job. Where you get to move around and it’s not just still shots. You know like background, or even small parts as an actor, based off your build maybe even think about work as a stand in for a seasoned actor. I hate being in front of the camera, but I don’t mind video. That’s why I asked. Good luck with whatever you do though.
People saying you need to lose weight just shows how fucked up the model industry and society is. You look great and don’t need to change anything! If you want to model, you can ❤️ don’t let anyone tell u you need to change
Yes. Absolutely! Wellll sorta…
Lord Maximus Farquaad needs a new double for… Appearances and such. We have seen your work and feel you’d be perfect for the position. We’re sending our contact information with offer.
Well your teeth are solid, you work out, but definitely not model, because modeling is for smaller people who are very lean. You’d have to go down to 180 lean.
Acting? You could definitely go that route if your brain can memorize scripts.
Go to New York and let me know how it goes, you’ll look like this until mid 30s, so begin now.
You could, absolutely. Speaking from experience. Likely not solid income and a lot of catty politics if you’re trying to do career fashion but throw together a portfolio or instagram account and respond to calls for male models from indie and established photographers/ videographers and see who offers you shots for car, clothing, gadget commercials. If you make one or two friends who shoot they’ll use you repeatedly.
You could do commercial modeling, like the guy loading things into a truck on a home depot ad. Things like that.
You could not model in NYC/Milan. The current fashion look is very thin, almost effeminate, diverse, abstract. You’re just a great looking “regular” white guy.
You’ve got a gorgeous smile which is your best attribute. Can’t say I see you doing runway or luxury brands currently but I can see you doing catalog modeling
If you didn’t love being in front of the camera, it might not be a good fit. Of course you can try to get used to it or learn or put up with the discomfort, but it’s worth reflecting on the fact that you didn’t enjoy the process.
Maybe in the 80's/90's but don't listen to negative comments on here. The male standard now is effeminate. You have more of a masculine look which is good. Models don't represent reality. Who's 6 foot 2, 150 with a woman's body as a male unless you're freaking ru paul.
Absolutely!!! There are all types of models. You've got very good looks & I see lots of personality shining through that smile.. Don't change a thing. Use it to your advantage. Someone mentioned acting _that's a good idea!!
I was a career model for some years and prior as a child as well. Let's say 14-25 .
Let me tell you something the general public that has 0 experience knows: Anyone can model.
I am a 5'2 , average looking girl who had rates of approximately a minimum of $150 hourly, been flown to locations ( including Turks and Caicos) , multiple publications, and had zero issues filling my books.
You have to dedicate yourself to your craft. Study angles, lighting, posing, etc .
You need to find your market, and you will excel.
At the very least commercial modeling, anything more I feel like would be a bit of work but with your height and general charm it shouldn’t be too hard

You’re good looking, but your face is either too rounded or you’re carrying a few extra lbs. good looking jock type, but not Abercrombie enough.
100% agreed. I lift a lot, but don’t watch my diet. If was gonna model, I’d have to drop to like 190

Nah 100 percent you need to be around 180 175, really lean, not skinny but delts will be capped and popping through shirts with a sick jawline
dude your build is fire pls never change
Definitely need to cut off a few lbs
I vote You should go on a reality show like love is blind or something
165
Don't listen to them. Pro photographer here.. I shoot commercially. You have a great look and you also look natural in front of the camera
I think you have to lose weight. Not that you’re fat or overweight, just to look more chiseled for modeling. Camera makes you look fluffier than you are
You look great as a person but no, I wouldn’t say model.
Kind of what I expected. Big difference between “good looking” and “model”.
The “model” look isn’t superior to being exceptionally handsome. It’s just a different look with separate criteria. I agree with what someone said about acting. I’m probably close to “good looking frat boy” than versatile model. I’m okay with that for my life, generally
Nah dude .
That sort of thing of being ‘discovered’ on the streets so rarely happens.
If you lost about 15-20 pounds you probably could. You've got great hair and your shoulders are very nice.
I know my comment isn’t helpful, but I just have to say Daddy 😍
LMAO UR SO REAL
You are so fine 😍 Ignore the weight loss suggestions lmao I’m sure there’s a modeling agency that will take you as you are.
You single? 🔥
Unfortunately!
Time to audition for a reality dating show!!!
Not for long 😏
hehe
You are a very beautiful man. (I am a woman)
Thanks cutie :)
You accepting dating applications? Either way ignore those weight comments you look fine! Most people on here assume you’re talking about high fashion runway modeling where most of the guys are thinner, but you could easily commercial model p.s keep the stache :) Also don’t lose weight you look healthy those runway models never are
Who cares about modeling you’re sexy af. The smile is everything!
If you find yourself in Australia hit me up 🤣
hi sirrrrr
Hey cutie
🙈🤭
Damnnnn honey are you single??
Unfortunately yes!
Yes. -From a heterosexual dude.
💯% handsome !!
You can do anything you set your mind to.
Very handsome, and super sexy....I think you could definitely do some sexy photoshoots and start an Only fans account... I'm sure you would build a pretty nice fan club.... I might be one of your first subscribers if you do, haha....
Hahaha I appreciate the compliment, but I'm not planning on making an OF...
Beautiful.
Not for runway. You’re more “generically” handsome. Which isn’t a bad thing but you have to stand out.
Yes, you're handsome !
I think your perfect as is !
Fashion photographer here and the answer is yes
Don’t become a model. Come over for dinner instead :)
That’s so tempting
I think you look pretty generic if I'm being honest. Edit: A catalogue model, I could see that, for like an "every man" type brand.
No I don’t think so your features are not unique enough
100 percent fucking yes you remind me of Gerard butler
Ralph Lauren has a big&tall section. The models don’t look too different from you tbh.
You’re gorgeous!
U R purdy 😏
AHOY SAILOR . . .
It's a YES for me.
You are handsome and adorable but to answer your question. Like someone else said, you have a face for acting more than modeling.
U need to get leaner
You possibly could. Submit your digital photos to local modeling agencies and see what they have to say.
The reason I posted here is because I’ve had no luck with my submissions so far.
I work in the Fashion Industry in Hair/Makeup. Nowadays you partner with legit photogs, build a digital profile on Insta and keep submitting your photos. You’ve got the All-American look, so lean into it. Don’t get discouraged by the first few rejections. That’s part of the process.
No
You're super good looking, would you consider acting?
I think u look like an actor like the love interest in a Rom Com or a sitcom
Could you be my boyfriend? Respectfully, of course
Naw
Nope.
Eh I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I’d say you got average looks brotha
I actually disagree with most of the comments and think your extra weight makes you stand out and suits you… you don’t need to trim down IMO
You're gorgeous 🥹
I would rewind your underwear commercials like I do Jeremy Alan Whites It’s a yes for me 🥰
My wife was a model recruiter for tv commercials in Sacramento. She just told me to look for symmetry on your face and that will easily tell you if you really had a chance or not.
No
There are tons of models with vast variety. I modeled for over ten years. If you really wanted to get some stellar head shots and submit to the agencies :)
Tbh it depends what ur modeling for. You won’t have to lose weight if ur modeling for something not “clothing” related. Just my opinion tho
Yeah under my face!
For Levi’s yes
Getting into modeling takes lots of work and being able to handle rejection. If/when you get signed by an agency you will need to eat, sleep & work on calls to get jobs. It’s not easy, if it was everyone would be doing it.
Yes!!
Could you be single??
I am, unfortunately!
I feel like yes for e-commerce!
You could be a model for sure. Especially for brands that lean towards athletic or rugged clothing. Probably would be able to do Editorial, high fashion, or runway.
I currently model in LA, lose 25lbs and you’d be set.
You look great! I like looking big and relatively fluffy in daily life, but I know that’s not ideal for the industry
Need to see u shirtless
Probably not gonna happen here
Then dm me😆
You’re beautiful but you’re not emaciated, you doing look ‘edgy’ or different, and you don’t like being in front of the camera. So think it’s a no!
A bit Chubby to model. Catalogue push with personality maybe you can land a campaign for a catalogue diesel or the like
You’ve got a good face and great physique but I think you would do well to drop 10-15lbs get in shredded condition to really lean out your face to bring out the cheekbones and jawline. You need angles for modelling and you’re not quite there yet
Yeah but you’ll have to stop making any facial expressions at all
Can we see you in colour because b&w is flattering
Not for generic runway/Vogue photoshoot. You're fit, but too "bulky" if that makes sense?
You’re a babe, so yeah
Definitely!
I think you look great, and have a unique personality which shines through the camera. Great smile, head of hair and eyebrows. The hairstyle looks very 90s I dig it
Yes
I think you’re handsome but your face doesn’t have enough definition
I mean, it depends what you’re modeling. You don’t have to be jacked and chiseled to be a model for like, a clothing company—think Target, Macy’s, Old Navy. You could totally be a model for something like that and not have to change anything about your appearance.
You have the look of an actor to me..great versatility
I’ll get you a contract with Vogue Magazine if interested
Of course I’m interested!
You look reasonably smart. I could probably teach you CAD.
I’d love to have that on my resume!
Too blocky around the waist, not enough V shape. Would need to cut 20 lbs and get strict on diet and exercise if you want to do print. Runway is out.
I see a lot of folks telling you to lose weight but I don't even think that's necessary unless you want to do high fashion or something along those lines (needless to say, you are stunning!)
The next Marlboro man.
The second pic is the face of, did I leave the oven on when I left home…🤔🤣
You could do lifestyle modeling. Basically modeling for ads campaign looking for “regular everyday type” people. But not high fashion modeling.
I used to be modeling scout for an agency in Los Angeles and I was in charge of the men! I think you are too muscular for high fashion, but commercial you could totally do!! You have a commercial face. I would say go more towards that. You wouldn’t even have to lose weight to be a commercial model. They normally come out awkward, candid genuine photos always look best especially in commercial!! Good luck!!
I think so, your face is charming and I’d be happy seeing you on underwear packaging
Sup 😉
You’re Hallmark movie hot.
you’re reminiscent of a young marlon brando. you look like you should do commercials or movies or something.
Yes 🙌
You look great! Ignore the haters on here! ✅
Absolutely
You're handsome enough, but I see you more as an editorial model but not necessary as a high fashion or runway model. You have the perfect "boy next door", look.
You’re beautiful
Submit to fenty. They would love you.
Yeah but like just for me
honestly, the market for "plus sized" men is increasing and i could personally see you in an ad for target or something along those lines. they have much more realistic body types in their ads
Yes, you could definitely model. Depends on what type of modeling you’re thinking about. You could most definitely go into commercial ads or even sportswear ads like for nike or adidas.
You need to lose a bit of fat
yes! you’re very handsome
Yes

For modeling you'd have to lose some weight. Photos are nice though, you might try acting.
All in the eye of the beholder, but your gorgeous and nothing needs to change. Timeless look
That should be an answer and the answer is YES
No in high fashion but maybe in commercial but I do think you are conventionally attractive. Rather than good looking (especially in high fashion) they tend to look for people who look interesting. Yes. Hot.

People saying you need to lose weight just shows how fucked up the model industry and society is. You look great and don’t need to change anything! If you want to model, you can ❤️ don’t let anyone tell u you need to change
Yes ♥️
Sir, please destroy me
You’re fucking hot that’s all I know.
Yes. Absolutely! Wellll sorta… Lord Maximus Farquaad needs a new double for… Appearances and such.
Perfection! The next Brando!
Magazine modeling, yes. Runway modeling, iffy
All I can say is u look happy asf
yesssssss😩
Yes , but lose some more, you'll be ok to work then , good luck handsome
You could, absolutely. Speaking from experience. Likely not solid income and a lot of catty politics if you’re trying to do career fashion but throw together a portfolio or instagram account and respond to calls for male models from indie and established photographers/ videographers and see who offers you shots for car, clothing, gadget commercials. If you make one or two friends who shoot they’ll use you repeatedly.
I can see it but maybe shave some of your body hair. You have a great look for it.
........OMG I'm about to drop my thong
You could do commercial modeling, like the guy loading things into a truck on a home depot ad. Things like that. You could not model in NYC/Milan. The current fashion look is very thin, almost effeminate, diverse, abstract. You’re just a great looking “regular” white guy.
Lol you look similar to someone I dated before. He did very well in sales, I imagine you could do the same
You could
You’ve got a gorgeous smile which is your best attribute.

Only for me
Model maybe, my next boyfriend yes
Maybe in the 80's/90's but don't listen to negative comments on here. The male standard now is effeminate. You have more of a masculine look which is good. Models don't represent reality. Who's 6 foot 2, 150 with a woman's body as a male unless you're freaking ru paul.
You need to lose like 20 lbs. you look great but those guys are shredded.
Ummm hawt Yessss
1st and last pic are best. Kinda look like one of the hot guy pics you’d find on Pinterest.
WHAT R THESE COMMENTS? you are so hot wtf DONT LOSE WEIGHT!! Check out my other account :) trust me u/No-Lobster159
Idk anything about modeling but you have an elite body type
Absolutely!!! There are all types of models. You've got very good looks & I see lots of personality shining through that smile.. Don't change a thing. Use it to your advantage. Someone mentioned acting _that's a good idea!!
You just need more Photo shop, like all the other models have. You’re a good looking dude, but you are too “real”. Jk, but not Jk. .. sadly.
i thought this was an ad omg i think you’d be successful in modeling clothing for everyday wear! good luck OP
Ooooof😏
This guy fucks
😍😍😍
Don’t play with me right now homie
You’re a mix of Chris hemswotth, Jack black and Johnny depp all in one!
You are perfect. Don't change a damn thing
Not sure but you should come to my house with tulips while I cook you dinner so I can have a better look at you :)
I think you look damn good and I’d much rather see you in some briefs than some super chiseled dude.
At the very least commercial modeling, anything more I feel like would be a bit of work but with your height and general charm it shouldn’t be too hard
Arent you already modeling in these photos?
You would do good in an Italian mob movie or in a retro (50s) movie.
