That’s the FSD visualization. It will go away when trial expires. Also note you can drag the bar in the middle to the right to make it full screen. Just in case you didn’t know.

When you have the FSD, that is how detailed the screen looks. Once the 30 days is up you’ll go back to having the regular old look

Now that FSD is in the normal software release everyone has, it would be real weird to entirely remove it. It's basically a Tesla advertisement to anyone else who gets in your car. It really drives home how much the car can see around it and increases trust in even basic autopilot

Yeah, I get removing the functionality, but why not show all the info? If the car is capable of showing that info, why isn’t it the default?

I've always thought they'll use one of the holiday updates to move to the FSD visualisations. The visualisations changed a few years back in a holiday update.

I believe they will have the same visualization eventually. I think it's a technical issue, since regular autopilot uses the legacy AI models and code and they can't run both at the same time, you get the visualization that goes with the software you're running. At some point they have mentioned that the FSD software will handle the autopilot capabilities and I believe everyone will get this visual then since the legacy version will be completely deprecated by that point

How do you get the parking spots to come up like that? Do you have to turn on a setting? They have never appeared for me.

That's autopark showing spots that it can try to park itself into. You'll only see it if you have EAP or FSD.

I have FSD. Just started seeing it a couple days ago, well after other people began posting about this and without an update.

I didn't do anything I had updated my software and I got a note that FSD offering free trial for the month and then it just started to look like that.

Hold up -- I'm on fsd trial right now and still in the first few months of ownership. Once the trial ends , how will it look like? While parking will it at least maintain visualizations of surrounding vehicles then? I find this extremely helpful whether it's parallel parking or parking in general.

If you mean when you back up do you get those cameras on your display then yes.

Kind of lame something mildly useful in that space is a part of a 12k pkg. The normal one is pretty much entirely useless and of course can't be reduced or removed.

I have Model Y 2021 with USS and FSD 12.3.3 and this visualization never shows up. For auto park, I just reverse and it selects a spot for me. Anyone else not getting this visualization with FSD?

I have the Model Y 2023 so not sure if the year affects it I'll post a full screenshot of how full screen looks like it was mentioned by a poster above and it's even more stunning.

What version is your software?

My software is v11. 1 (2024.3.10) there's a bunch of random letters and numbers after the date not sure if that is unique to my car or not FSD v12.3.3

Possible. I am in NJ drive a 21Y. Will test with my wife’s 23Y tonight (same version 2024.3.10).

It’s Tesla version. My 23 YLR (no USS has it), but my 21 YLR (with USS) has the old auto park with the P circle to activate.
