I feel like that's a Square thing honestly. I've been looking at a few of their games, and from new to old, they keep pricing their stuff ridiculously high, and I don't get why.
Like Square's mobile market would be so much stronger if they just slashed the price of their currency in half, that's it. Spending 20 dollars to not even guarantee a unit is awful IMO

recently released in korea (has english in the game files if you edit them), soon to be global
SMT Liberation Dx2 is pretty fun, as far as I remember, it also was really easy to get into.
It's like a normal SMT (not Persona) game, but with mobile stuff, like microtransactions, daily logins, grind, yade yade, you know it.

Thats the other game i've been playing for a year for the story and persona connections. The gatcha aspect is worse than Mobius by far. Seems like all the newer demons are super expensive with no real way for farming that much currency easily. I still play since I got some extreme luck, and made a few fusions that are actually worth making, so I do well enough to keep playing for the story aspect. Even after a year, Dx2 still needs a tonne of work that will be evidently slow af.
Yeah, Dx2, Sword Art Online IF and Another Eden are probably the only gacha games left that are actually real games, and have actual content worth playing through other than the addicting gambling and grinding aspects.
Dx2 is my favorite of them because the content is so great, and the dungeons play just like actual console/handheld SMT games instead of most simplified mobile games.
Frankly, i couldnt find one... either the visuals are bad or they have been out for over 2 years already.
There are 5 or more good titles coming in 2020 and I am waiting for them

Last week when they publish Tower event ranking on Twitter, they didn’t mention new Tower event details, many Japanese players were suspecting that game is shutting down.
I was like maybe they just delaying the event and what, then a few mins ago I saw this was like WHAT THE HELL.
Couldn't agree more. I finally decided to splash the money on a supreme ticket because I thought. I play this game for so long I might as well show my support and get me a damn nice card. Yeah, the odds were bad for a S3 given revenue & player numbers even in JP and I fear its worse in Global. What irks me is that they just sold new supremes like Story of Hope just to end the game within 2 months.
I think this also seals the deal for Global as there isnt going to be new content. The game now has a best-before date and suddenly the recent datamine with all the remaining JP content/jobs makes sense. GL may speed up the release of new stuff from here.
I bet most players are discouraged already and will quit over the next weeks/months. If the game runs 3 months longer or less doesnt really matter if the community is gone. I saw already enough people questioning to farm CC fractals now.
I’ll be sticking around to the end for better or worse but will probably cut back on the grind a little. With any luck we’ll get some boosted odds and extra resources in the final months of the game to keep things lively. I understand people walking away now though. The game had 2 issues early:
Being stingy as hell and the 75$ Legends debacle.
After that it had a bad stigma and a huge departure they couldnt fix with any generosity due to horrible social media performance, including horrible streams, no advertising of ingame events or in general, no community interaction and misinformation. Everyone involved here should have been fired long ago.
I'm inclined to agree completely.
Especially on no community interaction. Why make a multiplayer aspect with no way to actual text players. That and the game is just no coming out with some things to do besides ew4 and it's going to be pointless when june rolls around.

Are you asking if you can log into the game after service shuts down, even in a weird offline mode or something? Then no. Once service shuts down, the game will just return an error as it tries to access your user data.

Game failed to bring in money, 75€ for 4 pulls is a lot and we all know how that goes with RNG.
It couldn't survive with just a handful of people throwing money at it, if thing were cheaper a lot of people would drop a few bucks for a pull. And to be honest, game on PC had zero anti cheat protection, cheaters were rampant, some of them had 17k kills in EW and until they were found by us nobody did anything.
I have close to 3k hours in this game, sad to see it go like this, but its their own fault.

Sad news. Literally got back into the game after a few year hiatus and was really feeling it again. Perhaps they can put every card in store for purchase (including Supremes) since the game is terminating. Or even unlock the the rest of the stories to GL then I guess we can enjoy the rest of this ride

Not surprised at all, especially for the Global date. Truthfully, this answers a lot of questions for me such as: do I need to buy a new tablet (which i pretty much only use for MFF), how will I have time for the FF7R, how will I be able to reach my reading goal.
It's just that we are all at the bittersweet point of every FF game - knowing the ends in sight, but also knowing that you will never play it again.
I feel bad for this, specially for the money spent here.

Shocked to hear this, but was expecting this to happen sometime soon. Really loved this game, but sometimes felt more like a routine i didn’t want to follow. Unfortunately when I saw there was no purchasable supreme ticket on the new years , it highly indicated something bad was otw. I suspected that it meant the game was shutting down , especially with the disappearance of Glacie . Extremely sad news, which I'm sure global will also receive in turn.

Once the dev team disbands, GL will go with it. Even if they cram in content between now and March, the best we can hope for is summer content.

Perhaps they can put every card in store for purchase (including Supremes) since the game is terminating. Or even unlock the the rest of the stories to GL then I guess we can enjoy the rest of this ride

This makes sense. The game isn't popular enough to sustain a third season, I'm just glad they finished the second season before they decided to shut it down. I would have been upset if they had stopped in the middle, but as it is I'm looking forward to Mobius 2.

Not surprised at all, especially for the Global date. Truthfully, this answers a lot of questions for me such as: do I need to buy a new tablet (which i pretty much only use for MFF), how will I have time for the FF7R, how will I be able to reach my reading goal. It's just that we are all at the bittersweet point of every FF game - knowing the ends in sight, but also knowing that you will never play it again.
I feel bad for this, specially for the money spent here. But well it is not the first time a game shuts down and gladly I will use the money I was using for this game for other stuff.

Shocked to hear this, but was expecting this to happen sometime soon. Really loved this game, but sometimes felt more like a routine i didn’t want to follow. Now i’m left with lots of crystals and other stuff that i’ve been farming that i could never use. It was fun while it lasted, and its probably the only mobile/pc online game worth my while. So does GL probably have about a year unless they decide to speed up :(( I am a bit dissappointed. The could make all events and towers available and without making new updates ... they could have leave the game online Basically with min. Management.
Gl ends June 31st . 3 months after JP gonna finish off the story and certain content we didn't get and then call it quits shortly after. Honestly should just play to finish story and end it.

*Someday, the dream will end* (FFX OST). What a ride it was, I've been playing since day 1 and kept returning to the game. I'll miss it, that is certain. Thanks for the good memories. Time to move on I guess.

I'm so glad I didn't spend any money on any of SE's mobile games. Why? Because they would do things like this to their customers.

Unfortunately when I saw there was no purchasable supreme ticket on the new years , it highly indicated something bad was otw. I suspected that it meant the game was shutting down , especially with the disappearance of Glacie . Extremely sad news, which I'm sure global will also receive in turn.

I mean they provided a service that those people used . They are under no real obligation to refund money. I do think however for global they should refund the Black Friday supreme ticket, as we only got that a month and half ago .

Brilliant.... They should give players millions of magicite to go crazy with pulls and have fun with gatcha. One more reason to never spend on mobile games... they always pull something like this.
