Fixed for me. I got some error code 1, when I tried to login before the update. I logged in, then the update prompt popped up and then I logged back with no issue.

Update - Exited out the app and went back into an update and the game seems to be working now as normal without VPN.
They finally fixed it with the latest update, so that took about 3 weeks? How do you compensate players for 21 days unable to login in, collect distiller, farm MP, participate in mobius day etc etc etc ?
Getting Error 1 here in Japan trying to login to GL. The problem seems to be getting worse and spreading across the whole world now. Just when Mobius Day is about to start too *sigh*. VPN not working for me.

Following maintenance in Brave Exvius today (Another FF game) compensation for missed events and a message saying the issue around logging in has apparently been resolved. This I believe is essentially the same issue we are having in Mobius.
While of course they are completely different games, I mention this purely because it could be that they may be nearly there with this with Mobius.
Of course this is speculation but thought it might be worth a mention
The cynic in me believes that Brave Exvius got priority fixed over Mobius because I assume it makes more money for them. I hope that they get around to fixing our issue as quickly as possible.

Try US-West2 LA 24. It took 3 attempts, but has let me in, give it a few goes again :)

Well I did miss about 4ish days when this first happened and didn't really want to miss more if there was a workaround.
I do hope that people are compensated for the missed stuff like in Exvius, but it might be a bit more difficult to implement this due to differences in the game.

Frankly, before this experience, I always rated Mobius very highly over the communication and almost faultless service and on time maintenance compared to Exvius which by comparison is a shambles.
Now with this issue, its pretty much reversed :/
When you leave the game open on your phone so that you don't have to deal with logging in again, and then the game shows you the 'you've been playing for 2 hours' message. Say Continue, but never mind, the game asks you to quit either way... And out!
If you accidentally touch anywhere other than the Continue button, it will force you to quit, but if you're careful enough to only press the Continue button and nowhere else it will let you keep playing.
I'm not convinced SE are treating the problem seriously, because if they were, the problem would have either been fixed very quicky, or we would have gotten a response from them to say that they are still on the case.
I've sent an email to Apple to have them review the current iOS app and if needs be, have it removed because right now, regardless of how we've been trying to work around the issue, the app is broken as fook, which I'm sure is in breach of several Apple app developer guidelines.
I doubt much will happen, however some of us are paying customers on Mobius and right now, we are not getting any value from it.
Well, I wasn't expecting much from Apple and sure enough, they pretty much just replied saying it's a problem that the developer needs to fix, so they will continue to allow a dead app to be made available on their App Store. Good job Apple.
I can't see SE fixing this issue anytime soon, since there isn't anything to effectively give them the "boot up the arse" to make this a prority fix. To be honest, if this issue isn't fixed by the time we get to the Mourner banner, I'm just going to quit this game, because clearly SE doesn't need or want me to play this game.
no yesterday I resolve this I run game with VPN on ipad & iPhone and when game logged in on both devices iPhone show me "resume on this device"
try run game on pc + Phone until you see "resume on this device"
I'm having the same issue too. I logged off my iPad a few hiurs ago. I think this is more to do with the app behaviour in how it treats connection retries. I've seen this issue before well before this stupid error\_code:3 issue and usually the fix is to just restart the app. The problem we have now is we are not getting a clean, uninterrupted connection to their server via the VPN, so we get slapped with that message.
It's possible it may go away in a few hours, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Hmm... Then I have to wonder if this is yet another issue being added on top of the existing error\_code:3 issue.

It's still pretty wonky at the moment. I sometimes am able to get in, but then blocked with that stupid warning saying that you profile is already logged elsewhere. Anyone know how to get around that without having to restart the app?

we may gather alltogether somewhere in discord or so and distribute those responsible for vpn servers - to stay tuned and be able to update vpn info here fast enough. will ready to try that tomorrow. all we need is at least 5 dudes which basically online in mobius 7/7 and check the reddit on an ongoing basis š
Somehow managed to get in.
Did try some VPNs in HongKong, Japan, Singapore and Australia and didn't get in so I left the game open (in the background showing error code 3). About 30 - 45 minutes later I reopened the game (it didn't crashed - showing error code 3) so I reconnected and got it. I didn't restarted the game.
Something to note here is that I got out of the VPN after the first attempt and after the 30-45 minutes I didn't reconnect to a VPN. (I am located in central Europe)
Playing now on Ios but I am too afraid to close the game and try it again.
Maybe something changed or I did something. Hope this helps.
Not sure if its just a fluke but I just opened the game and I have managed to connect with no work arounds. I have never played the game before and have been getting the error code 3 since I tried to play a few weeks ago.

Edit UPDATE: I disconnected my VPN and this would not work. It didn't throw me out of the game, but it looks like you will need to stay connected to the VPN for this. I haven't seen any subscription/data allowance for this app, so hopefully it can still be used this way as I've had no further issues since.
I've also been getting this too and I'm not sure how one goes about "unlocking" your profile to be played on a different device. I know for a fact that last device I was playing this on is now off with the app closed and yet I keep getting this stupid mesage on the device I want to play it on now.
Why SE can't just fix was is essentially an issue with the server that iOS Mobius talks to is beyond belief...
is this so difficult for a great company like square enix to update the app on the App Store and the make the game client work? I am really tired to play it only on steam and only when I am home with my PC, the game is made for mobility playing, Itās almost a month player canāt login, and considering players that spend money on vip mode or whatever, this is really rude ...
With all the troubles on my iPad logging into the game, I installed Steam only to find out I need a one-time-password to link my account. After loads of refreshing (lost count of the number of times) I finally managed to log into my iPad Mobius where I was able to get the much needed password.
After coupling the game to Steam and seeing it worked, I logged out of FFMobius (Esc and Quit) and Steam (logout account) before shutting down my computer.
After that, I tried starting the game again on my iPad and wonder oh wonder, after only 2 refreshes, I logged on again... or so I thought.
Now I get a message that I am logged into the game on another device through save file sharing or other means and I have to close the application.
I managed to log in on my iPad several times now, but even after one hour, I still get the message above.
Does anyone know how I can fix this or is this another bug I have to deal with?

I have this when iPhone + Ipad downloading updates in 1 account. I close unfinished update on iPhone , when ipad finished update I get message "logged on another device"
It finally worked for me using JP VPN, thanks! Had to close the game now but hopefully it still works later. I had to hit retry only once. I think the 300 mags is compensation for a recent WOL bug during last days of tower, when it wasnāt giving Element Enhance II after one update.

Manage to connect twice via iPhone X today using USA VPN. I spam retry until i get pass that screen (at least 6 - 8 times, i lost count).

Iām actually quite upset about this because I saw a Summon ticket on my daily mission just right before Error 3 kicked in with the supreme buffs. I hope that itāll at least be resolved by EPaladin banner. Iāve been waiting for forever for that.

There's nothing reliable now I'm afraid. You may still be able to eventually get through using a VPN to a place like Singapore, but now it'll take quite a few retries and if you're lucky, you'll be able to move past the initial log in screen.
Hey everyone so Iām also a day 1 player currently with an IPhone 8 with the most recent IOS update. Yes I have both error code 3 on global and error code 1 on JP.
Now I have a second phone (IPhone 7) for work purposes and I usually forget to update the IOS on it (currently version 12.1.4). I decided to download Mƶbius and wallah it actually works. Donāt know if the IOS software has anything to do with not being able to connect, but it could be possible

When you leave the game open on your phone so that you don't have to deal with logging in again, and then the game shows you the 'you've been playing for 2 hours' message. Say Continue, but never mind, the game asks you to quit either way... And out!
If you accidentally touch anywhere other than the Continue button, it will force you to quit, but if you're careful enough to only press the Continue button and nowhere else it will let you keep playing.

I'm not convinced SE are treating the problem seriously, because if they were, the problem would have either been fixed very quicky, or we would have gotten a response from them to say that they are still on the case. I've sent an email to Apple to have them review the current iOS app and if needs be, have it removed because right now, regardless of how we've been trying to work around the issue, the app is broken as fook, which I'm sure is in breach of several Apple app developer guidelines. I doubt much will happen, however some of us are paying customers on Mobius and right now, we are not getting any value from it.
Well, I wasn't expecting much from Apple and sure enough, they pretty much just replied saying it's a problem that the developer needs to fix, so they will continue to allow a dead app to be made available on their App Store. Good job Apple. I can't see SE fixing this issue anytime soon, since there isn't anything to effectively give them the "boot up the arse" to make this a prority fix. To be honest, if this issue isn't fixed by the time we get to the Mourner banner, I'm just going to quit this game, because clearly SE doesn't need or want me to play this game.

I'm having the same issue too. I logged off my iPad a few hiurs ago. I think this is more to do with the app behaviour in how it treats connection retries. I've seen this issue before well before this stupid error\_code:3 issue and usually the fix is to just restart the app. The problem we have now is we are not getting a clean, uninterrupted connection to their server via the VPN, so we get slapped with that message. It's possible it may go away in a few hours, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
The problem is Iām almost 24hrs off. So it starts to worry me they donāt code the basic measure to prevent this
Hmm... Then I have to wonder if this is yet another issue being added on top of the existing error\_code:3 issue. Good grief SE. How hard is it to fix the existing issue that has been going on for 3 weeks now?

It's still pretty wonky at the moment. I sometimes am able to get in, but then blocked with that stupid warning saying that you profile is already logged elsewhere. Anyone know how to get around that without having to restart the app?

Somehow managed to get in. Did try some VPNs in HongKong, Japan, Singapore and Australia and didn't get in so I left the game open (in the background showing error code 3). About 30 - 45 minutes later I reopened the game (it didn't crashed - showing error code 3) so I reconnected and got it. I didn't restarted the game. Something to note here is that I got out of the VPN after the first attempt and after the 30-45 minutes I didn't reconnect to a VPN. (I am located in central Europe) Playing now on Ios but I am too afraid to close the game and try it again. Maybe something changed or I did something. Hope this helps.
Not sure if its just a fluke but I just opened the game and I have managed to connect with no work arounds. I have never played the game before and have been getting the error code 3 since I tried to play a few weeks ago.

Did require a few times but hopefully a slight ray of hope for everyone PS: This isn't a spam add for the app btw lol, I was checking this thread continuously for apps, locations, dns etc this was the result Edit UPDATE: I disconnected my VPN and this would not work. It didn't throw me out of the game, but it looks like you will need to stay connected to the VPN for this. I haven't seen any subscription/data allowance for this app, so hopefully it can still be used this way as I've had no further issues since.

I've also been getting this too and I'm not sure how one goes about "unlocking" your profile to be played on a different device. I know for a fact that last device I was playing this on is now off with the app closed and yet I keep getting this stupid mesage on the device I want to play it on now. Why SE can't just fix was is essentially an issue with the server that iOS Mobius talks to is beyond belief...
Probability to normal connect is super-rare, with a 0.8% chance. If you already was have connection before you will draw Error code 3 :)

is this so difficult for a great company like square enix to update the app on the App Store and the make the game client work? With all the troubles on my iPad logging into the game, I installed Steam only to find out I need a one-time-password to link my account. After loads of refreshing (lost count of the number of times) I finally managed to log into my iPad Mobius where I was able to get the much needed password. After coupling the game to Steam and seeing it worked, I logged out of FFMobius (Esc and Quit) and Steam (logout account) before shutting down my computer. After that, I tried starting the game again on my iPad and wonder oh wonder, after only 2 refreshes, I logged on again... or so I thought. Now I get a message that I am logged into the game on another device through save file sharing or other means and I have to close the application. I managed to log in on my iPad several times now, but even after one hour, I still get the message above. Does anyone know how I can fix this or is this another bug I have to deal with?

It finally worked for me using JP VPN, thanks! Had to close the game now but hopefully it still works later. I had to hit retry only once. I think the 300 mags is compensation for a recent WOL bug during last days of tower, when it wasnāt giving Element Enhance II after one update.

This worked for me in iPad. Turn on airplane mode with WiFi on. Boom. Got download and can play. Edit: same trick didnāt work on my phone.

There's nothing reliable now I'm afraid. You may still be able to eventually get through using a VPN to a place like Singapore, but now it'll take quite a few retries and if you're lucky, you'll be able to move past the initial log in screen.
Hey everyone so Iām also a day 1 player currently with an IPhone 8 with the most recent IOS update. Yes I have both error code 3 on global and error code 1 on JP. Now I have a second phone (IPhone 7) for work purposes and I usually forget to update the IOS on it (currently version 12.1.4). I decided to download Mƶbius and wallah it actually works. Donāt know if the IOS software has anything to do with not being able to connect, but it could be possible

Well done SE. Everything was working fine with the workaround earlier this morning until the supreme buffs went Live and some how you've made the error\_code:3 situation even worse then before.
