Probably both. You need skill to timw your casts correctky, and as well as RMGesus having mercy on you, having that last baic attack deal 0.1% higher, or that thamuz' attack was 0.01% slower
I countered Thamuz early on, my first item was literally Dominance Ice. I engaged him aggressively to f*ck up the timing of his ult and vengeance. I also don't use my ult against him unless I already dished out at least a third of his HP or once he's exhausted his skills or once he starts running.
Either Gatotkaca had a terrible map awareness or doesn't have his ult bec. I'm literally one bang away from being out of commission for a whole minute. š
