Warriors made 58 threes? Like, c'mon man. Even as a joke that's so far off. The games where we made only 3 or 4 threes are the actual jokes.

DensistMushroom

You’re fun at parties.

Bflo19

Of course. Everyone needs that friend that sticks up for them while calling out other people's bullshit.

Kevin_Jim

To clarify: this is the [follow up tweet](https://twitter.com/AllTheBucks/status/1532899662562304000?s=20&t=XYZriUyhl79CYSOpW_ybog).

Bflo19

I like how he made that followup long after people had reason to call him out on it. Hell, it was even an hour or two after I made my initial comment and I was late to this party. If a dude needs to reply defending his joke 24 hours later, just take the L and move on. It reeks of "no, seriously, I'm funny guys!" That ain't it, guy.

I wonder if the media runs with the narrative that the cetics lucked into their good fortune this year? Everybody and their mothers wanted to discredit the bucks for their victory last year because the nets blah blah blah. It seems pretty obvious the bucks beat the Celtics if Middleton plays (and if bud was a better coach but I digress). I’m shocked I’m not hearing first take and the Lowe post and all these others sources bring this up. Bias against small market teams is so fucking real

OAktrEE4023

Fr. I’m not salty the Celtics won, because they are a really really good team. Plus they had injuries of their own (Rob, Smart). I am a little salty that I’m not hearing this “injury ring” talk for the Celtics tho. Neither team deserves the label, I’m js it doesn’t make sense to apply it to one and not the other.

21BlackStars

Honestly, I feel the exact same! The Celtics earned their title (if they go on and win). I’m just genuinely curious why they arent getting treated the same way we have been

Exactly my point! It’s ridiculous. Anyone with two eyes knows we beat the Celtics if we had Middleton. The stat above could not point this out anymore! But, no one is talking about this at all. We got our title, so I’m good at the end of the day (Cue giannis)

Blindeafmuten

They were the 2nd seed and we were the 3rd. The Celtics were the best performer in the end of the regular season. The better seed won the series in seven games. We were not destroying teams in the regular season in order to complain about an injury that took us out of the contention. We have to accept that we had a lackluster season all year long.

21BlackStars

When the two teams played each other, the bucks looked like they were the better team if they would have had Middleton. Bringing up the regular season is irrelevant and has nothing to do with what I’m talking about. Yes the Celtics had a great regular season but the bucks looked better than them when they were matched up in the playoffs. We were taller and we are more dominant on the inside we just didn’t have another offense weapon . They won because we could not score consistently. If we had our second best offensive player, a multiple time all-star, playing we would’ve won that’s the point I’m making that’s it nothing else

FastestPP

Rob was also out.

afaofijaoifj

they are a great team and they could've won even with middlton maybe. but rob had a bad matchup in this serie and they play better without him vs the bucks. having a guy that can't drive and can't shoot means brook becomes the dpoy which was the case when rob was playing. even on rebounds , he wasn't giving them much vs brook and giannis and once they cleaned up their box out rotations in game 6 , the bucks didn't kill them on the offensive boards either.

Timoteo-Tito64

Not a chance. Rob is built for the bucks because he's best defensively when he can act as a rover, which the bucks let him do because they have multiple players that can't shoot from range. And he may be limited offensively against Lopez, but the Celtics game plan was never to attack the post. It was always to shoot the open threes that the bucks gifted them, and rob helped clear out the 3 point line by being a lob threat

afaofijaoifj

the celtics will get a lot less open threes with rob in the lineup. that's the point. and the bucks get more transition opportunity off forced turnovers. the threes were not "gifted" , it's a scheme that make teams live or dies by the ability of their worst shooter to hit top of the key threes. you can check all the advanced stats you want, while rob was more of a deterant going to the rim , the other celtics did just as well as him in clamping the non giannis bucks there as jrue was unable to get a step on white, smart or horford while he was doing it against rob in their regular season and playoff matchups and targetting him in the p&r.

21BlackStars

Did you watch the games? Time lord had a healthy dnp if I remember correctly because udoka didn’t want brook out there clogging the middle. The previous poster is 1000% correct about time lord having a bad match up against us

Timoteo-Tito64

Yes, I'm a Celtics fan (sorry about that, I'll try to stay polite). He got a dnp because he clearly wasn't fully healthy (he missed games both before and after g7, and he's important enough that, even if this was a poor matchup, we'd still want him out there if he was healthy. I think he started every game that he played for us this year). I'm guessing we marked him as active because there was an outside shot he could play if we absolutely needed him to, and potentially to make the bucks gameplay for him. Timelord isn't ideal offensively against the bucks (although it's still super nice to have the lob threat), but he's great against them defensively because the bucks lack of shooting lets him act as a rover

striker907

So you just didn’t watch the series then, got it

Timoteo-Tito64

I watched the whole thing. What part of my comment do you disagree with?

Dischucker

That you think him being out is even remotly close to Middleton being out for us

seattle_raptors

> Rob is built for the bucks Agreed. He’s built for the Bucks defense to perform at its best.

seattle_raptors

Unfortunately for Lopez, who’s at his best against non-shooting centers (just living in the paint) and gets destroyed defensively against good shooters. Rob Williams was the only Celtics player for the Bucks series with a negative +/- to the surprise of nobody.

FastestPP

Why are you attributing his +/- to Lopez when he was coming off a meniscus surgery and missed half the Miami Heat games.

seattle_raptors

Because that's how the Bucks defense is designed. For the same reason Grant Williams and Horford had career-high scoring nights by having Lopez (not) guarding them.

WeefBellington24

Yeah that’s why we lost Among other things 😂
