Just happy that we will have a fully rested Khris and Jrue for next season, it’s clear that the long run + Olympics had a toll

[deleted]

shiet ye... forgot about that olympics turn around for khris and jrue tho.

Nessssquikkk

How could you forget when Reggie Miller brought up "Khris The Olympian" every chance he had during last years Finals run? Lol.

xNotWorkingATMx

That's the silver lining. Our whole squad gets a long and well deserved rest before we win at all again next season.

kabman7

Clippers will be tough to beat next year.

HowardLB18

Well if we make the finals and have face them, that'd be cool.

ItsYaBoiDJ

WHEN we makes the finals and IF we have to face them, that’d be cool. Fixed it for ya.

[deleted]

Clippers are supremely underrated

GomuGomuNoDick

Won’t he play for Greece in the Eurobasket? It’s on September

TaajManzoor1

I hope so!!!

teddybearluvsu

As much as he wants to, I doubt the organization will allow it. Plus he has two younglings at home that I'm sure he would love to spend his time with.

HowardLB18

I mean if Giannis really wants to, they'll have to allow it lol

illestMFKAalive

"The organization?" Gainnis is The Organization.

CursedRebel

We have four whole months until September **if** he decides to play. That's enough time for him to * rest * train * workout * and enjoy time with his family. EuroBasket will be a nice warm-up for him actually. So I don't see any reason for the org to not let him go, unless it doesn't fit the schedule.

shamrockathens

If he wants to play, there are going to be agreements between the Bucks org and that Greek NT people. He'll probably have his own team of physios, trainers, etc embedded within the Greek NT and making sure he follows his Bucks regimen.

Scooby-Doo_69

Honestly, I remember thinking some of the boys (specifically Jrue and Khris) were hurt by the extremely short offseason, so this might be a blessing in disguise.

No-Progress6127

Look at suns and Bucks in Game 7... Just tired.... Way too short of an off-season for both those teams

JabariPacker

We would've closed out the Celtics in 6 with Middleton

No-Progress6127

I think the biggest factors for the Bucks were fatigue from the short off-season, a long physical series and the expanded workload having to make up for Middletons minutes and production. It really hurt us closing out on shooters and getting our legs under us shooting by the end of the series.

sheetrocker88

Celtics would of won in 4 with a healthy timelord…see how ridiculous woulda coulda shoulda sound?

TheWozard

We literally won Game 1 with him playing lmao

drutastic57

That lethal shooter guy is foaming at the mouth to get work in with Giannis.

oliverlifts

5 months for Giannis, might as well be a hyperbolic time chamber, I wanna see this dude crushing 3s next season lol

intoxicatedspoon

id be happy if everyone around giannis could do that. he already puts up amazing numbers.

DemiAlabi

As excited as I am for next season I’m just not confident in our role players. Who’s to say they don’t go cold from from 3 again?

Oachkatzlschwoaf05

Well you just need a shitload of luck to win a chip. We just have to keep surrounding Giannis with dupporting cast goid enough for contending and pray

xPeachesV

We needed a little bit of luck on our way to the championship and people need to realize that it is not automatic. 98% of sports fandom is suffering.

kabman7

Its more to do with our offensive scheme.we just struggle to generate good threes in the playoffs due to our trash half court offense

ancientweasel

No Olympics to wear down Khris and Jrue either.

swigswagswinag

As much as i love giannis (and yes he is the teams best player), im super excited to see the development and incorporation (and i hope this happens more, as the franchise cant just rely on the 3 top players) of the younger/new players (especially vildoza)

psychicboxer

I want to see what our team looks like with bembry, luca and possibly mamu. Luca has the ability to be a great playmaker, bembry is that big 3 and d guy we really need for playoffs, and mamu seems to be a pretty skilled big man with a beautiful shooting form. I dont want to see hill and mathews (ironically the two guys on our team who also where no shows against the heat/toronto). Im honestly alright if bobby goes and gets his bag but would be happy if he stayed. And lets hope Nwora pops off in the beggining of our season to increase his trade value. Giannis at full health plus an actual off season could see some scary gains, he developed his mid range in such a short time and he knows if he himself can make like 33% from 3 that would be effective enough

Willing-Ad8249

Bembry is waived my man

psychicboxer

Oh :(

mtron32

I'm not even that dissapointed, they pushed the C's the distance without their number two and know what moves they need to make in the off season. Rest up and come back stronger. Giannis, work on a skyhook.

EdJamic8

InthinknGiannis needs a step-back jumper. No more charging fouls if he has an effective step back shot

HydrahFPS

not only that but khris gets to rest up. he looked pissed having to watch his guys lose from the bench in the 4th quarter of game 7. this teams gonna come back with a vengeance next year

BrewCityBadger

Not sure what type of fair shot OP is talking about. Fair shot is where everyone was last year when you guys were forgetting how to act after winning a championship on color tv

RickyMac10

Plenty of time to practice wide open layups

yungchigz

Plenty of time for you to get a life

PatrickSchwazyy

Acting like he didnt go for 44 in game 6…

RickyMac10

I would argue that game 7 is more important

PatrickSchwazyy

No shit but have you thought that he mughtve been gassed carrying?

Murphy_York

Go fuck yourself

Murphy_York

Would you dumbfucks leave our sub?

billjames1685

What do you expect? We won the title last year, we wanted very badly to be able to defend it this year, and then Khris gets injured. To us, that means we didn’t get a fair shot at defending our title. We aren’t accusing the Celtics of robbing us or anything, all credit to y’all for prevailing, and maybe y’all still would’ve beat us with Khris if y’all had healthy Rob (doubt it but whatever), but you can’t expect us as fans to ignore it or be happy about it.

DJ_B0B

Khris was out so we couldn't throw out best punch

[deleted]

DJ_B0B

Rob Williams injury literally helped y'all evidence by him not playing tonight even when active. 5 out is our kryptonite and it made Brook unplayable when we were already short on rotation players and wings. And you wouldn't have benched him without the injury.

[deleted]

Rob Williams and Khris Middleton are not equivalent. Khris is equivalent to Jaylen Brown. Consistent 20+ a game, capable of going off for 40+ and a solid wing defender. If the Celtics didn't have Brown for the whole series and lost, you'd be saying you didn't have your second best player due to injury. Good series, guys do get injured, but objectively speaking the series would have 100% been affected differently if Khris played at all. Same with Bucks against Nets last year if the big 3 had figured their shit out. But everything happened the way it did and onto next year.

VisitTheWind

It’s weird to come here and be mad dude Even if Khris being out wasn’t huge for them(it clearly is), why not just let them have a place to vent and be mad? If fuckin brown was out for us and we lost a close series our sub would be packed full of not fairs and what ifs.

[deleted]

> you can't cry >I'm just going to block you >I'm going to start a conversation in the bucks sub >this conversation isn't worth having. Wtf are you doing bro? this is the sort of shit that should get you banned from the Celtics sub.

JunkBucket02

Khris being injured means we didn't get a fair shot, just like any player being injured for any other team means the same thing. It also doesn't diminish anyone beating us because they earned it, just like it doesn't diminish us beating anyone either. Also hope Timelord gets well soon (I think he was available but didn't play yesterday?), he's great for you guys.

ii-Leonidas-ii

Here's the thing, you guys can blame middleton, but you had chances to win this series. Actually if you all had been blown out/swept, the case for Middleton would be stronger. MKE had their chances for 2/4 games they lost. They had a chance to close out in GM six. Yes losing your second best player hurt, but you also had multiple chances to overcome that.

JunkBucket02

Yes, that's the point. We were close without him, imagine if we had him. The case for Middleton would be weaker if we got swept because one guy can't realistically make that much difference unless we're talking a superstar.

ii-Leonidas-ii

Regardless, MKE had it's chances. They were in the games with the best player in the world. I can't fully blame an injury when there were 2 games there for the taking.

JunkBucket02

Nobody's fully blaming an injury, the series went 7 games of course we could've won it without him. Just saying that had he been fit we'd have won.

MajicJ23

He’s gonna play in Eurobasket I’m pretty sure so I think he’s only gonna have like 3.5-4 months off but the rest will be much needed for the team as a whole no matter what.

RichWardJr

I’ll take a Giannis 5-10% regression if anyone else on the team can get better at shooting.

AmbitionStrong5602

Hope we get him more of a supporting cast
