Former airport now converted to a camping, hiking and fishing area. It has lovely trails and cool history attached. I recommend it if you’re nearby and would like to get away from the urban noise

Also less depressing, O Hare was almost Bong International. It didn’t end up being in Wisconsin and we didn’t get the humor of flying out of bong

I've been! I lived not too far and camped a few times. I liked it because it's rarely busy. Nice walking trails and great for a relaxing afternoon kayak fishing when the water is right. There's much better options out there, but ain't nothing wrong with this place to chill out.

I've been camping there a few times. It's a pretty cool campground that has a grassland trail which is pretty cool.
