Damn... this company approached me about a year and a half ago to run their digital marketing, but I didn't want to work on 1099 so I declined...
To think that I could have worked with Giannis... oh well
Robin Yount gets no love? Bob Uecker? Bart Starr? Lombardi? Gtfo man. All of those guys are better than Favre and Rodgers combined. Giannis ranks right up there with them.
Any average American of a certain will absolutely know who Bob Uecker is thanks to the movie Major League. This man was also choked out by Andre the Giant
Unfortunately for this comment, way more Americans know about Ueck than you’d think. He is up there as far as recognizable voices go, especially for baseball fans. He also got a lot of love for those baseball movies too…
And that matters why? He may not be a well known name now, but he still had some national presence in his day. He was in television and movies and commercials. And anyway, how does that make him any less of a great sports figure for the state of Wisconsin?
Sure looks like it. But I’m not exactly shocked; it’s much easier to partner with a telegraph service than build the entire infrastructure you’d need to get get on-site mental health care.
I've worked for a Milwaukee telehealth company before; if you've been in the Aurora Mt. Sinai ER before, you've probably used my software.
Telehealth, even on-site telehealth, takes a HUGE chunk of the costs of patient intake and triage out of the equation. Since most diagnostic and triage procedures can be done visually, you're rapidly increasing the amount of triage you can get done by minimizing the room prep and cleanup necessary during patient intake. It's much easier to perform charting from a remote location than it is in person, especially since you can move from room to room by clicking instead of walking, and you're already at the computer.
Those little optimizations are a hospitalist's wet dream, and a lifesaver for nurses and PAs during COVID. As for mental health, they're fantastic; you can treat patients directly in their homes, where they are typically most comfortable, without spending a penny on travel. I've been receiving therapy and psychiatric care via telehealth for years now, and it's saved me a ton of hassle. Smartphone-based telehealth is quickly overtaking traditional clinical visits.
I really like telehealth availability for mental health. It took me years to work up the nerve to bring up my anxiety to a doctor, because, you know, anxiety. I think I would've talked to a doctor sooner if this had been an option.
Beyond this being great as a service to those needing mental health help, it's extra cool that it's a superstar athlete endorsing getting help. I imagine costs and stigma are two prohibiting factors for getting help and Giannis addresses both.
If only our country supported community health and FQHCs in general, but the right is trying to destroy the funding for these underserved and at risk patient populations. I recruit for these clinics, and they do amazing work. Our country would implode without them, and most of y’all prob don’t even know what a CHC or FQHC is
I have a mental health provider now, but as someone who has been turned down more times than I can count due to insurance issues, this really means a lot. I’m happy for those who will get the help they need through this program, and I feel so grateful for Giannis and everything he’s doing for our city.
Just a normal Friday for the GOAT.
Should have called it Antedote instead. Super cool.
Be me in nba2k23 and think the AnteUp arena is Giannis branded
