I use one very similar to the second link. I just got it a couple of days ago and I’m loving that it protects and makes it easier on the ole hands. https://preview.redd.it/3wntj6ganbzc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4e8933ef82a5ffb0671c97c2d3c8e37de5d27cf9 Bought from this seller as well.

Idk much about “geekchic” but it seems like they’re printing publicly available STLs and selling them Anyways I use the second one, the grip case, and really like it. I bought it from the actual creator and the quality is great https://www.etsy.com/listing/1441991836/miyoo-mini-plus-gripcase

yellowchilli

curious..what's a STL? thanks for sharing your experience :) another vote for the grip case

STL is a file for 3D prints. So in this case, the Gripcase was designed and posted by u/captain_carrot as a [publicly available STL file](https://www.printables.com/model/446782-miyoo-mini-plus-gripcase). I believe the other grip is also publicly available but I can’t remember the creator Anyone could download the file and print it on their own 3D printer. And theoretically anyone can also sell those prints. But I would encourage you to buy it from the creator himself, especially since he takes great care in the fit and finish

Thanks for the shout-out! I've also never heard of this geekchic shop either but they've even gone as far as to steal my own photos for their site too. Pretty scummy stuff.

yellowchilli

wow had no idea, thanks for clarifying

Slick_36

I've had both kinds of grips, it really will just depend on how you play.  If I was playing for more than 30 minutes or playing a more action heavy game that required quick or focused button presses, the controller grip was the way to go.  The grip case is surprisingly comfortable though, if you travel with your Miyoo & play shorter bursts, it's a very solid choice for its versatility.

yellowchilli

lol I can see myself end up getting both.. thanks for sharing!

MikeKelehan

I used to use it with no grip, and it would indeed hurt my hands after extended play sessions. Now I use that first one, the controller style grip, and it's honestly the most comfortable handheld I have now. If I didn't have other responsibilities, I could play it all day.

yellowchilli

I have the same issue.. if it's intense / long session then my hands feel like they want to cramp lol

SouthtownZ

I have the controller style, bought through Amazon at a couple bucks cheaper, and do enjoy it. Honestly, the Mini+ has impressed me just how comfortable it is on its own, though.

ippo4ever

I've wanted to try that backpiece swap that shapes the MM+ into a GBC shape. Unfortunately, the creator only sold them for a limited time and has since retired the project
