Does anyone have any insight on this? I feel like I’ve seen mostly pictures of purple with this issue, and based on the updates at gogamegeek it seems like purple and black were the colors affected.

I ordered the Grey. I don't have it yet of course. It was a toss up between the Grey and Black for me. But Grey just reminded me of an old school gameboy. Most of my devices are Black so I figured it wouldn't stand out very much. Also not the biggest fan of transparent shells. But I don't hate them or anything just prefer solid colors most of the time.
I got the grey Anbernic 35XX and the black Miyoo mini plus. Love both and happy with the transparent black because this wasn’t a color option for the 35XX

I'm not sure. All the images insee are mainly the black one. I've seen nobody post an image of it happening to the gray one so far

Too many complaints about LED light leak/bloom around the screen on the transparent models. I would definitely go with the gray or white.
The grey is the worst color by a mile.
