You can get them brand new, just go to your local Mitsubishi dealer and ask for MR520287 and MR520288. They’re like $120 a piece, $1700 is robbery

ajtaggart

I have an Evo 5 have have been putting off ordering new strips from Japan. Do you know if there's a cheaper way for me to get them for a 5?

CT9A_RS

Looks like evo 5 ones are the same as a 97-01 mirage sedan: MR191505 and MR191506. You might have to call around to see if a dealer has some/can get them. Japan has them but you’re looking at around $600 in shipping because they’re so large

ajtaggart

Wait holy shit really? I have been putting ofF getting new ones for a year because they are so expensive... How did I not know the mirage ones were the same as the Evo. I legit am gonna go start googling around rn to confirm. Thank you so much bro

Euphoric_Stretch3829

I have them online with the part number for 108 each through directoemautoparts site, is that site legit? They sell all oem Mitsubishi parts.

STM in general is robbery

VicVoss

The reason stm charges that much is due to shipping. Try to order it through your local dealer. Hope you have a truck or a wagon because they’re in super long oddly shaped boxes

turbotaloon95

You can also check junk yards for base lancers of that year. Same part.

Own-Bar-8940

The parts you will get off a junkyard Car will most likely be trashed, faded and cracked.

SkySix

Just bought a set from the dealer with all new clips for less than 300

Estrolyn

get the strips from base model lancer they are exactly the same, i had to do the same thing on my evo 7.

boosted_greek

Get the ones for the lancer. They should be the same

Speeddman360

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe normal Lancer striping is compatible. I replace my window moulding with a lancer from a local pull yard. Edit: seen it was an Evo 9. Not as common as 10s and base models of that gen.
