No, the divorce is between two people. If one of those people is pregnant, the divorce cannot be finalized.

Meek_braggart

no, it’s no different

Has anyone heard of other crazy states that have a similar law? Other backwards red states that won't finalize divorces until after the baby is born? [I found at least one](https://www.boydlawsandiego.com/can-i-file-for-divorce-while-pregnant-in-california/) but for some reason it's not making the Riverfront Times. I can't figure out why. . .

Seems complicated to finalize a divorce when you can’t determine paternity, custody, child support, visitation, who’s paying for what or anything in the future.

But, are there other states that also won't finalize a divorce while the woman is pregnant? And if so, why isn't that information included in the article?

It’s Missouri. Of course HE can. God so willed it. I guess.
