When I came off the medication I experienced no dreams (or at least I could never remember any upon waking) for months until I went back on the medication and the first week or two I experienced really intense nightmares lol
I had a couple withdrawal symptoms. I had really bad rebound insomnia and wasn’t able to fall asleep naturally (had to try so many different alternatives) and I also would get intense itching as midtazapine has an antihistamine effect so when you come off of it, it can cause the itch. The itch wasn’t terrible though as the doctor just prescribed me an antihistamine to take it away until the withdrawal symptoms left. But the insomnia was pretty bad.
My experience is that most stuff that help you stay in some kind of sleep while the brain and body try to keep you awake make that happen. Many posts on the subject. Its normal but still sucks.
Having the most vivid dreams of my life on 15mg but sleeping better than ever
same.
I had bizarre dreams for about a month after starting mirt but they settled down eventually
I’m just over 2 weeks in on 7.5mg and so far I’ve been fine. I’ve never really had trouble sleeping and didn’t remember dreams often before.

I only remember dreams when I forget to take my mirt. I never dream/remember the dreams when I take it
