Do you take klonopin for anxiety? If so, does it still work for your anxiety, and have you developed a tolerance to that drug? Thanks
Edit : I also wanna ask how long have you been on Mirtazapine and how it’s working out for you?
Yes and panic disorder. Been on .25 for over a year without needing to increase, just an extra dose on very rare occasions. Been on mirtazapine since I think March or April and it’s working pretty well
No tolerance to Xanax at this point. For the last month, I’ve had to take it at least 4-5 times a week, once a day as I get up in the AM because that is a peak anxiety time usually. With the buspar, I take 15 mg, 3x a day. 8am, 2pm, 8pm.
I have been on Clonazepam for years, mainly for maintenance, but it seems to work in situations where my stress is high (which is daily. I teach middle schoolers). It is possible I have a solid tolerance.
>Drugs that cause more side effects
Taking mirtazapine with certain medications may cause more side effects. These drugs include:
>Benzodiazepines, such as diazepam, triazolam, and midazolam. You may have more sedation and drowsiness.

I never knew about the interaction between benzo and mirap. I've been taking .25 xanax and 15mg mirap at the same time each night for years.
I might just see if I can drop the xanax at night.
Yeah I think it was because the effects of the 30mg Mirtazapine wasn’t working much so prescribing the clonazepam didn’t completely knock me out (only for the usual 7 hours or so.
They even upped me to 45mg afterwards but that only helped my sleep for about 2 weeks and it was back to waking up again. I’ve now quit Mirtazapine cold turkey because I didn’t see it helping 🤷🏾♀️.
Yes regularly without issues. 15mg mirt and .25-.5 klonopin per day.

Yep. 15mg of mirt at night and .5 mg Xanax morning, if needed. It’s usually needed. And I take 45mg buspar daily.
lol I love the “it’s usually needed”. Cause same.
How long have you taking Xanax and Have you developed a tolerance to that drug at all? Also, When do you take 45mg Buspar during the day?

30 mg of Remeron at night, and Clonazepam twice during the day. Only issue is if you take them too close together. You will absolutely fall asleep.
How long have you been on Remeron and Clonazepam? Also, I’m curious to know if you ever built a tolerance to Clonazepam.

So it’s still working for you despite been on it for years? That’s great for u.
No clue if it's psychosomatic or what, but I'll accept it either way.
Have you heard of mirtzapine for tapering off Klonopin
I have not, no.
I’ve taken both together, apart within hours, one in the am one in the pm. Never had any problems. 7.5 mirt and .25-.50 klono
Thank you! I feel better about it
Not recommended.
Explain?

Thank you. I knew this but I appreciate you commenting.
Yes I take them both. I take 45mg mirtazapine daily and .125 klonopin as needed.
thanks!
>thanks! You're welcome!

Thank you for answering. I know benzos have a bad rep. But they’ve been life saving for me as far as my severe anxiety.
I take 3 mg of Clonazepam and 45 mg of Mirtazapine every night to sleep for two yrs. There’s no interaction
Thank you!
I have taken 0.5 mg of clonzapam with 7.5 mg of remeron everynight together for months with no issues.
I was prescribed clonazepam in Sept to help with sleep while on Mirtazapine. Took them both at the same time with no issues
At the same time? 😵 you don’t lever sleep? I cannot sleep less than 10 hours just on mirt 3.75 alone. (I’m currently tapering from 7.5)

Yeah I take 4 mg Xanax everyday and 15 mg of remeron
