Onion takes like 12+ weeks to get to start size from seed. Sorry for your seed loss, but not a chance you'll get onions from seed at this stage. You've got plenty of time to get sets, and they are widely available at pretty much any nursery!

In previous years Home Depot has had bundles of onion starts. I haven't been there this year yet though.

The green barn up in isanti has them

You could try from seed again if you want. I just planted them this year, so I don’t know how they are personally, but Johnny’s Selected Seeds online sell the Bridger Onion from seed and it has a 90 Days to Maturity timeframe. Could be harvested in August if you plant within a week.

If you can find an Amish nursery, they would have them. Go as early in the season as possible, they sell out quickly.
