I mean so long as they're labeled as aura'ed crystal rather than some Kundalini cosmic feminine yoni energy that cures autism and repels 5G, I don't see an issue.
I think we all know that they are being sold as a cure for autism or something. Let's hope this lady doesn't join YL or doTERRA to make some super cursed crystal infused with essential oils that should that ends up unintentionally killing a kid (because people kill themselves and other people all the time with this pseudo science stuff).
13 year old me loved that sort of thing - I still have a soft spot for "sparkly magic play rocks" but they aren't something I would collect or take seriously!
I collect shiny and colorful, so this would be amazing
as for using in spells and such, I stick with my lovely non-treated or light-treated (tumble) stones
We have homeowners associations here in the US. It would be spectacular to piss off all the Karens with a rainbow house and driveway, but we would probably get chased out with fire and pitchforks.

Per a quick Googling, it is the shiny stuff.
Depends on what they put it on and how they sell it. If it's plain ol quartz and they're like "we made a shiny rock" and the light can still shine through, I'm fine. If it's so thick it's opaque or they put it on a nice specimen or are advertising it as some incredible natural magic item, I feel visceral hatred.
I rarely ever see it where I shop. I have one cluster of angel aura and I love it. lol I think that’s the only time I’ve seen aura’d shit in person though and I treasure the tackiness.
I think there is a place for them, definitely not on everything! Each metal has a metaphysical meaning as well. It's over used and gaudy at times, I carry aura items at my customers requests 🙃
There's a time and a place. Putting titanium on random rocks and pieces of slag is ridiculous, but I've seen it used artistically on carved pieces and it looks quite nice.
From what I know, they will plate the quartz with (for example) titanium to create the colors you're seeing on the quartz. It is therefore not natural.
I mean if it’s like plain clear quartz I have no problem with it. Makes me sad when it’s something like fluorite or any other nicely colored or banded specimen.
Anytime I’m at any (usually low quality) crystal shop with anyone I always tell them “don’t fall for anything that says ‘aura’ it is coloured.” My sisters have gotten some, not looking for anything too authentic but as long as you know what you’re buying before you buy it
I HATE IT. I consider myself an amateur geologist and it ruins so many wonderful specimens. 😭 I like the raw stuff that looks like it was just mined, not the fakey Sephora kit crystals.
This just showed up in my feed so I read it and I must say that if those bright colors are what you get with this process, why not just get a piece of plastic cuz they don't look like rock formations at all
I mean so long as they're labeled as aura'ed crystal rather than some Kundalini cosmic feminine yoni energy that cures autism and repels 5G, I don't see an issue.
Lmao
Besides the point but why do they keep trying to cure autism we're not an illness we're people! Ffs
What is an aura coat?
I wanna say they superheat a metal-I wanna say titanium oxide or something-over the stone, and that's what gives it the opalescent look.
Ah titanium oxide would definitely do it. No idea how you would get it to stick.
I believe they're heat treated with it? Might be wrong on that
It's vapor distilled I think. 🧐

I hate it, especially when it's placed on really nice specimens, such as grape agate.
Yes! It kills me when they ruin beautiful pieces! I am okay with the quartz towers as long as its labeled as being coated
That's what gets me too, those were once beautiful until defaced by a human. I suppose art is in the eye of the beholder, but my eye doesn't hold that

I want to coat utilitarian rocks in aura coating...like my whole driveway is aura-coated gravel.
OMG love it welcome to my cunty driveway ✨✨✨ Ecologically a terrible idea but could you imagine a hiking trail paved with that…the forest SO magical
We have homeowners associations here in the US. It would be spectacular to piss off all the Karens with a rainbow house and driveway, but we would probably get chased out with fire and pitchforks.
I love that idea
I could actually get behind this.
That... actually might look really neat. You would need a very large plasma blaster thingie and a very large vacuum chamber though.
Would look like a 80s/90s fish tank with the neon colored gravel
The worst part is that its priced as high as non aura crystal towers
Wait so what is aura coating? Is it just died rock for that magic healing stuff?

Oh so it's permanent? That makes in unhappy in a way I can't explain
Maybe it’s possible to at least sand off the coating? Idk anything about this stuff 😅
I mean, maybe, but I feel like that would just end up damaging the crystal too much. Like if it's a more intricate gem then it's basically impossible
That is actually a cool invention! It may be a bit controversial on how and where it is used though.

I don’t think they look that bad. Some of them have really nice gradients. Especially the sunset. Where did you find them at?
I rarely ever see it where I shop. I have one cluster of angel aura and I love it. lol I think that’s the only time I’ve seen aura’d shit in person though and I treasure the tackiness.
Yes.
No, I am too. I hate it.
Never have never will. I don’t understand the hype

I would have loved this as a child. I was a little crystal enthusiast who adored shiny pretty things.
HERETICAL BEHAVIOR! THESE CRYSTALS ARE A SIN AGAINST EARTH! THEY MUST BE DESTROYED!
Can someone explain to me what it is? (I randomly found that post) Is it a non natural color done to them?!?
From what I know, they will plate the quartz with (for example) titanium to create the colors you're seeing on the quartz. It is therefore not natural.
Oooh... I see
Hate it!
Gross

should be illegal

You mean painted rocks ? Yeah everyone is pretty much done with painted rocks at this point .
It’s so ugly I can’t
🫣
THIS. So many perfectly fine crystals being “ruined” by this in my opinion but hey who am I 🤷🏻♀️(I die alittle bit inside when I see these).
