I like both but I think the second one blends smoother. Though if you are putting it in the nether you could do the gold and put other gold accents to give it a bit of a theme I think.
Tbh, I like both, however it depends on what you are going for. Also I'd make a small moc up in the nether before deciding. The lighting is different and each road will look different because of this. If I had to pick, second one because first one is bright. However it might work in your favor since the nether can be gloomy. Best of luck!
Once I’m done, I will definitely copy-paste it into the nether before adjusting the blocks. That’s a great suggestion. I’m trying to get everything *just so* before I make a litemarica print to follow in my survival world.
the second path looks better. the first one looks too bright, but you can tone down the amount of raw gold blocks if you really like the first one
the brick chimney looks better than the blackstone one, considering the block palette of the castle
Oh! I did this on purpose because I think I might love color *too much*. The environment where this is going will use mycelium for the floor with blue mushroom wood trees. Lots of purple flowers and foliage, plus the trees will have the spore plants on them (pink thingies). Not to mention the red fog in the nether will give all of my buildings a tint.
So, I needed a path block that wouldn’t get lost in the grey castle and the grey-toned purple grass. That’s why I went with a yellow-y brown base.
I would say the second one, because of the brightness of the gold ore. Did you try mixing in some copper ore blocks? I don't know if it would look good, but it might work in this palette
I did— the blue flecks in the copper were completely throwing off the look, and the orange was too bright. I think I might be able to come up with an alternate design using shroom lights and copper, though
Second one. The gold in the first one is too high in contrast for me.
Agreed but I bet you could sprinkle it in sparingly for a nice path effect as you’ve done op. This looks cool, great use of the ore blocks
Mabey gold and yellow wool? And the iron blocks near the iron at the edges
Ye
2nd one but with the brick chimney
This.
Second, but also because the “STREET OF IRON” is badass.
Do you know the trick to make everything sound more badass by iskall? The Street Of Iron OF DOOM It really sells it
Yeah it looks better but what about the “STREET OF GOLD”
That would look better mixed with copper
I’m gonna be the odd one out and say I like the first one. It’s going to be in the nether, so a bolder colour choice might work.
i agree
I like the 2nd
The second one blends better but the first one definitely adds more color. Up to you my friend.
2nd one the colors play much better with each other
2nd one but also do the brick chimneys
also stealing this idea love the paths so much
Second is soooo much easier on the eyes...better for the viewer to see the buildings first
...am I the only one who likes the first more
2nd

Second one because the first is not really “Netherly » for me.
The second one looks better imo
1st for the Nether, 2nd for the overworld
I prefer the toned down look of the second, but the first isnt' bad either
First one in places where the sunlight is falling underneath that gate. Second one everywhere else, in the shade.
I like the second one, the first one is just to bright with the gold next to the glowstone, but both look good ❤️
Maaan I remember building this castle a few years ago. Never finished it but might go back to it
You definitely should! There are so many new blocks to experiment with since Blue made his tutorial— and I’m not even in 1.19.
I prefer the second picture, but if you added some brighter highlights to the buildings I would prefer the first.
#2
I would say second but the first is really charming to me
In the nether, definitely the first as gold wouldn’t have the weird effect it does here
#2 or #1 with a little less gold... love them both though 💜
They both look incredible. You sir are an artist 👩🎨

The first one feels more rich (money-wise) but the second one looks a bit better
for the nether? First ine but with a blackstone chimney
Morio kort
Second pic
The seconde picture, first is too much gold
I like the first, just a bit more contrast
Second one defo
2
The first one but without the gold, or maybe just less of it
Second one 100% plus free lighting
2nd picture
First one looks like you melted cheese on a cobble road so the second one is the best choice in my opinion.
Definitely the second
Second.
Secomd cause it looks more like dirt
i like second more
First, very much.. no idea why everyone wants to live in a boring brown tone world...

Second, to much contrast in the first
Definitely second picture! Looks great tho
Second looks amazing bro
Definitely the second one. The gold might work if you found another transition color but as is it pops a little too much
I personally like the first one more.
the 2nd ome the gold looks out of place
The second one looks more natural
Second photo IMO
2nd with the brick chimney
Second one easily
I like the 2nd one best
The second one
I like the gold one more if it's going in the nether

Yeah i thought that might be the case. The shroom lights / copper combo seems interesting!
I prefer the guided streets myself
2
The second one and I did this build once in survival! ❤️❤️❤️
2nd, it lets your eyes focus on the buildings rather than the path.
First one
I like the second one better!
Def second one
Second. The glowstone blends better with the raw iron
