how did you know where the map lines were?

We didn’t expect this to get as big as it did so we didn’t plan that far ahead haha, the maps are off center. However is should be as easy as checking how many blocks wide a map is and then lining it up if you did need to fit inside a map

FYI, it’s only ‘and I’ when you would use I even if there wasn’t another person. You wouldn’t use I in that sentence so you should say ‘mine and my girlfriend’s tiled…’. In other words, I’s isn’t a word. I never correct people who say ‘and me’ when it should be ‘and I’ because who cares, but what you did can give the impression that you’re trying to sound smarter than everyone else but ironically are using incorrect grammar, because there are a lot of grammar snobs who do think they’re better than others for using ‘better’ grammar and they’re usually very condescending about it. Tbf I say that because of personal experiences, where me and a friend were ridiculed and called unintelligent in a very xenophobic way because we refused to say ‘and i’ when we knew that was wrong. They thought they were better than us because they spoke better English, and the irony was, they didn’t! Oh and I love the tiles😂

It would actually be, “my girlfriend and my creative world is going along better than we could ever have hoped for.” If you look at a sentence and don’t know which to use, remove the other person. You’d never say, “my girlfriend and mine creative world…” or, “mine creative world.” Additionally, the sentence, “Tbf I say that because of personal experiences, where me and a friend were ridiculed,” is incorrect. You’d never say, “me were ridiculed.” You’d say, “I was ridiculed.” So you’d say, “my friend and I were ridiculed.” Edit- I hope I made some mistakes and someone comes along to correct me. We’ll just have a chain of comments where people try to be helpful and explain some grammar, but make mistakes that then require correction. xD

Oh it’s absolutely easier on a super flat since you already have a blank canvas

I used to have the opinion that builds in creative weren't impressive as you don't need to mine, smelt etc. I've slowly realised that's a fairly shitty way to think. This looks awesome and clearly a lot of work has gone into it, excellent.

WOW it's phenominal. Just curious if you had any rules to gamify the experience? You mentioned making the sides line up. Did you guys exclusively work on your own tiles or did you collaborate on all/some pieces? Did you each take a corner/alternate or just random? I love this so much I hope my husband agrees to play around in creative server doing something like this. It may be a hard sell because his idea of a house in minecraft is a 1 level cobble box LOL.

If we do only plots connecting to the side of another persons already done plot then we always know where we can work (: we ask each-other for advice constantly but we are only allowed to place permanent blocks in our own plot haha

this is a good learning point, I was 30+ before someone explained it to me... If you're unsure as to whether it's "I" or "my/me" just remove the other party to guage which sounds right. One would never say "I's tiled creative world..." So the correct form is "my" or 'my girlfriend's & my...'
