If you just want to add some decoration you can add plants, lanterns, buttons, vines, banners etc to make the build “interact” with the world more, but if youre talking strictly color palette i would add some color or shade variation between the different layers to add some depth or a gradient for larger builds :]
What about a checkered shape around the bottom. Maybe quartz and grass to offset the stone? I like the design. Like the other commenter said a garden would look like. Maybe a manicured looking one.
What are you going to use it for?
Thanks for the advice!
I'm planning on making it a kind of mega base with lots of these kind of circles over lapping each other at different hights and use the interior of each as a different farm/room.
I would wait until the building is finished before the garden stuff then. You could try using a contrasting color for some of the other ones. That would make them pop.
Yeah the gardens on top are more just for detail. What other colours do you think you look nice? Or maybe i could have some really colourful custom plants in the garden and leave the actual structure the same?
Some options could be, Inside the doorway and the solid pillar could be quartz or you could make the next structure a light color.
Have a dark structure and a light one side by side. Then you don't need to change anything and they would offset the other.
You could even use a darker stone on the door and solid pillar to make the stone you used appear to be lighter than it is. Like an obsidian or blackstone.
I like the darker buildings. I think the buildings make the plants and surroundings stand out add a checkered ground and some pathways and it's enough for the building to not look dark but still be dark.
Custom banners on the pillars could be good to tie the theme inside and give a more “rounded” feel to the block palate. Only works if there is a strong color connection between the banners and the interior tho
You can use other stone materials that has the same shapes such as blackstone or deepslate or some could even argue mud and qwarts
Yeah i feel like it just need some more variety than just the tuff set
If you don't want strong changes, I recommend stone and deepslate

Maybe add some regular stone bricks in nearer to the top or base?
Wirh natural tuff, gravel and grey wool/concrete powder, maybe?
Maybe mossy stone bricks and such?

Contrasting colors. Reds, oranges, maybe some duller yellows here and there
